Hi,
Attaching scripts for Tasker app (https://market.android.com/details?id=net.dinglisch.android.taskerm) for toggling Honeycomb Statusbar appearance on Asus Transformer.
Please note that these scripts require Superuser access (therefore will work with rooted devices only)
Follow the following steps to create Statusbar widget toggle:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Unzip the attached file into: "/sdcard/Tasker/tasks/" folder on your Transformer (create the "tasks" folder if it is not created already)
2. Open Tasker application
3. Goto: Settings Menu -> Profile Data -> Import One Task
4. Import "StatusBar_Hide", "StatusBar_Show", "StatusBarToggle" tasks by repeating step 3
5. Goto your prefered home screen
6. Add widget -> Task
7. Select "StatusBarToggle", press "V" in the next dialog to finish
The created widget will toggle StatusBar visibility on each click and will change the widget icon accordingly.
You can also use the attached scripts to hide status bar before invocation of selected applications and returning the status bar back after exiting the application:
1. Follow steps 1-4 from the above sequence
2. Add new profile in Tasker, name it "Apps with Hidden Statusbar":
2.1 Select "Application" context
2.2 Mark all the application you want to use without statusbar (for example i use it for "MoboPlayer" video app and some games)
2.3 Press "V" and Task selection menu will appear
2.4 Select "StatusBar Hide" task
2.5 Press again on created "StatusBar Hide" task and select "Add Exit Task"
2.6 Select "StatusBar Show" for exit task
2.7 Exit Tasker to apply the scripts
Big thanks to ppareit and his "HideBar" app sources (https://github.com/ppareit/HideBar) that i used to create these scripts.
Happy Taskering
when the widget hides the bar, how do I get it back from withun the opened app? Does flicker work or do I have to somehow get back to desktop to click the widget again?

This widget is indeed useful only with apps that you can exit explicitly from within the app (like most of the games and some other apps) or if you always have the docking with you (like i do).
If you want more complete solution you can take a look at HideBar application (
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1265860&highlight=hidebar). The downside that this application always run in the background. My script just hides/shows the statusbar without running service in the background for gesture catching.

Thanks for this...really useful. Another solution is to install something like swipepad which will let you move from app to app.
Anyone else been using any other tasker profiles? All I have so far is having headphones mute my notification volume and auto-airplane mode when the screen is off.
Hello, I just installed the ICS Version on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Unfortunately the mentioned tasks does not work? Is there any adjustment I can make to make does takes workable under ICS as well?
Thank a lot for your support!
MIUI is not like other Android ROMs. It has a full UI overhaul and adds a bunch of extra customization. A lot of the really nice features that made Gingerbread MIUI nice have been incorporated into ICS, and even more incorporated into CM9/AOKP... but not all of them. This guide is going to gloss over the features that are now standard in ICS and focus mainly on MIUI specific features.
*These features are as of the most recent MIUI version, some may work in older versions, some may not*
Some things to start with, just some quick things that I do every first boot:
Enable root: Find the Permissions app, turn root switch to ON.
Turn off 3G download limit: Downloads app, menu > settings > turn off Data download prompt
Change battery display: Settings > Battery > Battery indicator style. My personal favorite is top-bar
Set long-press back button to kill app: Settings > Button > Long-press Back to kill app, and delay time underneath
Customize toggles: Settings > Status Bar: Choose full page/compact toggles, Customize position underneath.
There's some more cool features in those menus, I implore everyone to explore the settings app thoroughly.
MIUI Home
Where's the app drawer? Well, there isn't one. Installed applications are placed on your homescreen. There are some ways around this. One way is to put your apps in a folder and place that folder in your dock. Another way is to simply use another launcher such as Apex or Nova. Yet another way would be to use an app drawer app, such as AppDrawer.
Enough about what MIUI doesn't have, lets get into the cool aspects of the launcher:
The dock: You can have up to 6 icons in your dock, and as little as none, including folders. It auto-rearranges to fit your icons centered.
Two & Three finger pinch: Pinch the home screen with two fingers and you enter widget edit mode. Easily rearrange widgets and icons from page to page and customize MIUI widgets (more on that later). Pinch with three fingers and you enter the home page edit mode. Here you can add more screens, remove screens and rearrange them. One nice thing you can do when creating a new screen is to grab directly from the + logo to where you want that screen.
Multi-touch icon placement: Pick up an icon or widget with one finger, and you can slide pages with your other finger for easy page movement.
Widgets: MIUI has some really amazing looking widgets including 3 clocks, 3 picture frames, and a full size music widget. These widgets are made even more amazing by their ability to be themed. There's a bunch of widgets available for them through the theme manager. One really nice thing about these widgets is that they don't update when you're not on that homescreen. This saves battery life and RAM consumption.
Lockscreen
Custom MIUI lock screens can do almost anything. The stock lock screen can unlock normally, unlock to messaging, phone, or camera. You can double tap the lock icon to bring up music controls and a visualization, though this will be shown automatically if you have music playing. You can preview unread text messages and missed call callers by holding the lock icon.
Then there's two features that work regardless of what lockscreen you're using. You can hold the home button to turn on the flashlight if your phone has a flash, and you can hold the back button to unlock directly to camera (in recent builds this needs to be enabled in Settings > Button)
Theme Manager
Probably the best feature of MIUI is the Theme Manager.
You can apply themes like normal, or mix and match pieces of your themes together in the "Mix" section.
You can pick pieces of full themes to not apply picking the theme, then choosing the icon in the bottom left. Really like your icon pack? Uncheck "Icons" and hit apply, you get the rest of the theme, but keep whatever icons you had before.
You can save your mix & matched themes. From the Mix section, hit menu > Backup Theme
Themes go in /sdcard/MIUI/theme or you can select them from the File Explorer, or open Theme Manager and menu > Import from SD Card
Besides themes, the Theme Manager is also used to manage ringtones, notifications, and wallpapers.
Place ringtones and notification tones in /sdcard/MIUI/ringtone
Place wallpapers in /sdcard/MIUI/wallpaper
Permissions Manager
The Permissions Manager is split into three sections, root permissions, permissions, and auto-start
Upon installation of an apk off your sdcard, you get asked to grant individual permissions, set "I trust this app," or the default setting will ask you as the app asks for each permission.
The Autostart manager will stop apps from running when your phone boots.
Network Assistant
In the Network Assistant, you can set a maximum amount of traffic to be sent over 3G if you have a limited data plan. It will also tell you which apps are using the most data, and by pressing the button at the bottom of the Traffic Ranking screen, you can limit apps' internet usage. From there, you can also set the default settings of newly installed apps, useful if you want to set apps to only use data off wifi.
Visitor Mode & Access Control
These settings are hidden a little bit. To access them, go into Settings > Security & privacy > Privacy protection
Guarded mode is also known as visitor or guest mode. When visitor mode is on, call logs, notes, gallery data, and text messages are hidden and the launcher cannot enter edit mode. You can also set a password for leaving visitor mode.
Access control gives you the ability to password protect applications. The ability to hide the apps is currently missing but should show up in a later build.
Firewall (formerly Do Not Disturb)
Using the Firewall app, you can send unwanted callers directly to voicemail and reject text messages as well. It has a lot of customization including a whitelist or blacklist and keywords for blocking text messages.
App Killer
MIUI has a built in app killer. You can access it by holding the home icon. It looks similar to the stock ICS task switcher, but looks a little nicer. It functions the same way, you can slide apps away to remove them from memory. There's also a little brush icon in the bottom left for clearing all apps from memory. The little icon in the bottom right takes you to the Running Services settings menu for further control over your running apps.
Miscellaneous Features
A few scattered features between apps.
T9 Dialing: Using the keys on the dialer, you can spell out your contacts' name to find them. For instance, to find "John" you would dial 5646
Long press editing: In almost any MIUI app with a list, (dialer, messaging) you can long press an item to enter editing mode. Select as many items as you want and select one of the options that appears. These options vary from app to app, but all include a "delete" option.
Long press toggles: You can long-press any of the toggles to enter the settings menu for that toggle. For instance, if you long-press the wifi toggle, you go to wifi settings.
To be continued
I'll keep updating this as MIUI gets updated. Feel free to post some suggestions and features you think are cool.
Picture Password Lockscreen allows you to unlock your phone by drawing gestures such as points, lines, and circles on your chosen images. It frees users from the traditional and less secure unlock methods because there are close to an infinite number of combination of gestures. It provides an effective layer of protection against the two most common methods of illegal access gaining to a device- brute-force password hacking and shoulder-surfing.
Forget PIN codes or patterns, you can now draw points, lines, and/or circles to unlock your phone.
To setup, select the background image and draw the gestures. To unlock, draw the saved gestures on the lockscreen.

Will this app work on devices with enterprise accounts that require a pin, etc.? I'm guessing no, but I'm hoping it's yes as there aren't any disclaimers.

There is an option to not override the stock Android lockscreen so Picture Password will display after the stock lockscreen. Android requires Secure lockscreen (PIN, passcode etc.) if you have enterprise or VPN set up

Hey, kevdliu, I really like what you have going here. I have a suggestion that will really put this over the top. If you could have a series of pictures cycle while you made gestures, confirming each gesture. Think of a image of a traffic light, it starts with a red light, then you make the first gesture and it goes yellow, and then the second makes it go green unlocking the phone. Anyways, good luck with the app.

Easy way is to use titanium backup
and convert to system app. Manual way is to copy com.twinblade.picturepassword.apk to system/app and reboot

IDK if this is just me, but I keep having an issue where the image I am drawing on shows up very small in the center of an otherwise black screen. IDK if this might be a Jelly Bean issue (OP's screenshots looked like ICS). In addition, I am running a CM10 nightly, so there could be an issue there. Still, I thought you should be aware of the glitch (I can send screenshots if you want). Awesome to see someone bring this to Android; I am interested to see how it progresses.
Nice! Really like this
One thing I'm missing is that I would like to disable it from Tasker..
When I'm at home I don't have any security lock screen..
Thanx!

Can't find com.twinblade.picturepassword.apk even with ES Explorer Search.
Can you explain how to do it with TitaniumBackup exactly, must I have a Pro version?
Thanks in advance.
Really nice job, but I have an idea!
Hello. I want to tell app is great, but theres one thing that should(in my opion) added to configuration. I mean, when we run app, we have to set wallpaper, gestures, but theres no option to set backup PIN, and if somebody make a mistake or do something to quick, and didnt set PIN code in preferences may lost control above device Let me know, what You think about it!
StatusBar expand on SGS3
Hi,
In preferences I have selected 'Disable Status Bar Expand'.
But it is still possible to expand the the status bar at the lockscreen.
My Device:
Samsung Galaxy S3 (international version) with Android 4.0.4, stock, not rooted.
Screenshots:

I like the app ! Good work !
works beautifully on my S3...thank you for this...definitely worth donating for future development
Looks really good so far!
If those 2 features get added, I will gladly pay for the Pro version:
1. Record a custom unlock pattern with taps, lines and circles (= no limit to just 1 tap, 1 line and 1 circle)
2. Tasker integration to toggle the lockscreen on and off.
Keep up the good work! :good:
Excellent
Nice work. I really like not having to have sliders and buttons on my lockscreen.

Toq Alternative Notifications (a.k.a. ToqAN) is an app that enables Android Lollipop notifications to be sent properly to Qualcomm's Toq Smartwatch. Qualcomm's Default Toq App is not being maintained anymore, and it does not work properly with Android Lollipop (all the text of the notifications are sent in the title section). This app sends those notifications properly and enables an applet with the devices current notifications.
Authors and Contributors
This app is developed by @alaintxu under GPL v2.0.
How to use it
This app depends on Qualcomm's Default Toq App.
Install Qualcomm's Default Toq App.

Install Toq Alternative Notifications (ToqAN).
On ToqAN, click on "Install Deck Of Cards" and enable the Applet.
Click on "Check Notification Permissions" and make sure that ToqAN checkbox is enabled.
Now, all notifications should be sent to the smartwatch.

FAQ
1. The notifications do not appear in the Smartwatch, what can I do?
Make sure that you made all the steps on "How to use it". If you continue without receiving notifications, click on "Check Notification Permissions", Disable the ToqAN checkbox and enable it one more time. It should work now.

Thanks for the simplistic yet very functional app. Working nice with galaxy note 3 lollipop update...
Thank you for the great app! The Toq remains my favorite wearable, thank you for unobsoleting it!
ToqAN uses a lot of RAM (75MB for me). It is by far the heaviest background app on my phone. Do you know what is consuming all of that memory? Will it be possible to trim down the memory profile?
Multidialer is a complete dialer with various features thinked for improve your calls.
There are a lot of great features, for example:
- Suggestions and t9 algorithm;
- Themes;
- Notification widgets;
- Home screen dialer widget (only plus) and 3 different starred in android widget;
- Left slider with contact list (and pictures);
- Right slider drawer with call logs;
- Top slider with settings (inspired by material design);
- Long click on a contact for a quick preview, then click on the pictures for the contact sheet;
- Shortcuts on the numbers;

- 4 gestures over the numeric keypad, with different effects if the text field is empty or full;
- Air gestures, control your phone without touching the screen (worked on some samsung devices);

The interface is designed for have these functions at your fingertips, with a minimal modern graphic style! Also, the style is highly customizable thanks to a lot of themes and the various options.
*****
This app is also designed for samsung devices that support samsung's multiwindow feature (as galaxy s4, s3, note, note 2, note 3...). In some samsung devices you cannot use the dialer in multiwindow mode. With this app you can use the dialer and another app (like browser, playstore, etc...) at the same time! Thanks to the adaptive ui feature, when you are in multiwndow mode the interface change for improve comfort!
Attention: when you make a call you must use the standard interface. Is impossible to replace it (without root). Is a the way used by system for fired calls. You can see it when push the phone icon in every dialer app. Usually this interface doesn't support multiwindow, so this dialer work in multiwindow, but when you starting a call, you'll see the interface in fullscreen. Unfortunatly I cannot do anything for this, is not an issue.
What is samsung multiwindow? It is a great feature for multitasking. Through this, you can split screen in two parts, in order to use 2 apps at the same time! for enable it (depends if your device has this feature) you must check the
toggle "multiwindow", then push and hold back button. You'll see a sidebar that contains all the app that support multiwindow mode. Drag and drop 2 apps from this to the screen and enjoy multitasking!
