One thing i was missing was Xperia Home like you can find it on the Xperia Z.
After some searching I found a .zip file meaning to be installed through recovery.
I downloaded the zip file extracted the .apk file and installed it to see if it works.
Luckily it works!

Found one bug; when clicking the button on the upper right, the app stops.

More importantly - WTF Sony?
I connect my Z1 to a Sony head-unit - message comes up no Bluetooth allowed (just like the Z).
Without Car Mode all I can use when connected via Mirrorlink is Google Maps - so no calls, no media.
Again I ask - Sony - WTF?

Asked for this app on Xperia Z1 Official forum, got the reply that I had to download a 3d party version from Play Store.
Now it works as it should again, (had it on Z)
I connected it to start with a NFC tag in my car holder.

I have the original version 1.0.A.0.9 running on my N5. I'd love to have the newest version running. Whenever I try to download version 1.2.A.1.4 or 1.2.A.1.6 it does not allow the install/upgrade.

You need to uninstall the old version. It won't let you update it.
BTW what that button in the top right does? It causes FC if i press it on my M2 and on Neo V. I guess it is missing some app but what

I have an Xperia Arc but running CM11, so i guess the app looks for some missing lib, beause i also have FC, even when putting in system/app oder system/priv-app.

It misses. Android. Os.storage.storagemanager class.
On cm11

Application is not installed in Xperia C stock 4.2.2

Nope this is not ported this is originally from rim armv6 gingerbread...someone uploaded first mobile9 category bbm and is usually works well.
Taken from Samsung Galaxy S5

How to port apk
HI do one go about apply this change to the anroid a110. ...shud I just copy to root of sd card and than flash it via CWM recovry....or can I use a apk installer app from play store

Bro no need to port just install as a normal apk on kitkat for our MMX A110.

As always not work on LG G2 lollipop stock roms. Fc. This is not related with your port, versions bigger than 8.4.A.5.4 always fc on LG G2 stock Roms. But works on kitkat Roms.
