Hello guys, i recently took from a friend a Samsung galaxy s4 duos, (gt-i9502), and as i informed, it was bought and delivered from chine, and it don't has even english language.. ( i don't know how, but my friend me that he add it the english language, and now it is displayed in English, but play store doesn't open.! With little research i found this guide: marrkdaviid(there are a dot, i can't post links)com/2013/08/fix-caller-id-install-google-play-on-the-galaxy-s4-i9502/ in which it refers to flash stock firmware and then flash with SVA_Rom v2.5, but in the second-third comment from a user, he is refering a way to flash stock firmware and SVA_Rom v4.5 which is something like 4.3, instead of v2.5 like 4.2.2.!!
When i try to follow the guide from the user comment i was unable to flash stock rom cause odin stops in cache.img and says FAIL!
The phone is already ( as i see from device details in 4.3, and baseband version I9502ZNUFML1) as i noticed the stock rom that the user prom to me to download is I9502ZNUEMK3, with MK3 in the end, firstly, what's the difference between the two, ML1, MK3, and secondly, and most important, can i proceed to flash the sva_rom with the current firmware (cause it gets fail to flash the other one..!! )????
PLEASE GUYS, I am new to forum, and i really need your knowledge.!!
regards from beautiful Greece.!!!

Hello everyone, I've just recently switched from iPhone 4S to Android Galaxy S II
My phone info is given below:
Model: GT-I9100T
Android version: 2.3.5
Basband version: I9100TDUKJ1
PDA: I9100TDUKJ1
PHONE: I9100TDUKJ1
CSC: I9100TVAUKJ1
I have already followed the guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399 to root my phone. I used http://download.chainfire.eu/50/CF-Root/SGS2/CF-Root-SGS2_XW_LUX_KJ1-v5.0-CWM5.zip and used Odin to flash it. I'm now having the yellow triangle which I want to get rid of. According to the instruction, it says "(4) Find an original Samsung signed stock kernel (preferably from the same stock firmware you have, but it's not terribly important)" however, the secure kernel link which I found from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1101671 does not seem to be listing any KJ1 version. Can anyone please provide me a link for downloading this? Would it be the one here?

Thanks in advance.
Samsung Galaxy S II Stock Kernel for VODAFONE AUSTRALIA
I'm still not able to get rid of the yellow warning sign even after following the instructions given here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14283369&postcount=2
(4) Find an original Samsung signed stock kernel (preferably from the same stock firmware you have, but it's not terribly important)
(5) Reboot into download mode (adb reboot download, or boot the device with home and volume-down pressed)
(6) Fire up ODIN, and flash the Samsung kernel
(7) Boot the device with the stock kernel. CWM Manager will still be available.
I guess my problem is not having the secured KJ1 kernel. Would anyone be able to help me please? I'd greatly appreciate it!
Thanks in advance.
Bump?
Thanks a lot for the bump. I believe I'm after this file but the download link appears to be dead as mentioned by many others.

metalmaze,
Your best bet would be to download the stock firmware from Samsung themselves. Unlike many other companies, Samsung has a database where all (or rather most) of their stock firmwares are stored.
Since I'm unable to post outside links on the forum for now, do a Google search for "SamMobile firmware" and click on the first link. You will have to register in order to download any files from SamMobile, but it is quick and free, definitely worth it.
Hope this solves the issue! Best of luck!
[Q] Samsung galaxy S II GT-I9100T Stock kernel for Vodafone Australia
Hey |Shadow|,
Thank you for your reply. I'm very confused to be honest. I have downloaded the stock firmware file from sammobile firmware website where the filename was I9100TDUKJ1_I9100TVAUKJ1_VAU.zip. However, few questions remained unanswered because of which I didn't do anything with it.
1. This I9100TDUKJ1_I9100TVAUKJ1_VAU.zip is the original/stock firmware. What shall I use to put this inside the phone? Odin? or the CWM "Slash Stock firmware" ? Is there a difference in between these two methods?
2. If I install that firmware in the phone, wouldn't that unroot my phone again? If that's the case, then CWM will disappear and I'll have to put an insecure kernel again and then root it. So it'd be like back to square 1.
3. Although my phone is I9100TDUKJ1 running Gingerbread 2.3.5, can I use the insecure kernel hotfile.com/dl/145373032/054a67a/GT-I9100_JPKJ2_insecure.zip.html to flash first, root the phone and then use hotfile.com/dl/145373034/3731622/GT-I9100_JPKJ2_original.zip.html to get rid of the yellow exclamation mark? Would that work?
4. I'm asking #3 because I believe I've tried doing that and it did get rid of the yellow mark but when I launched CWM, it said the kernel version is different and many features have been disabled due to this.
[Q] Samsung galaxy S II GT-I9100T Stock kernel for Vodafone Australia
Hey metalmaze,
Sorry that it took so long for me to get back to you, it took quite a bit of time to figure out exactly what you need to do to root the Samsung Galaxy SII (i9100 or in your case the i9100T) as I have the Samsung Galaxy S+ (i9001). With that being said, I think I found your solution
The stock firmware I told you to download is, in fact, only really used as a backup as you cannot (or at least not without great difficulty) separate the kernel and rom from the firmware. So if I were you, I would keep this file somewhere in case something ever happens to your phone and you need to restore it before sending it back to Samsung or Vodafone.
In the event that you have to flash back to the original stock firmware you can either use Kies or Odin (select as "One Package") and you should end up with a stock I9100T phone.
Now onto the topic at hand:
You have the KJ1 kernel on your phone at the moment and unfortunately there is no dedicated insecure kernel available yet, but there is another solution, or rather two:
1. You could use the KJ2 kernel:
hotfile.com/dl/143536280/cc63681/GT-I9100_XWKJ2_insecure.zip.html
hotfile.com/dl/143536361/ee49702/GT-I9100_XWKJ2_original.zip.html
or,
2. You could use the KI8 kernel:
hotfile.com/dl/143535921/572ad8d/GT-I9100_XWKI8_insecure.zip.html
hotfile.com/dl/143536103/be9ed09/GT-I9100_XWKI8_original.zip.html
If you look at the reference codes of Samsung: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=800257 you will notice that KI8 is the firmware released just before KJ1, while KJ2 was released just after KJ1. Thus, both firmwares are extremely similar to the KJ1. The XW just means that it is an international firmware and thus you should not have ant problems with compatibility with Vodafone.
From other members on the forum, it seems that the preferable choice is the KI8 firmware, but as I said, you can use either.
I really hope that this solves your rooting problem! Best of luck!
I have been looking for the official firmware of SHV-E150S for the past three days, and I came up empty.
I have tried various methods, such as the KIES hack, without any luck.
In case you are wondering SHV-E150S is the Korean version of the Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE
The problem with SHV-E150S is that since it's not a popular phone in Korea, Samsung is neglecting its support for the phone.
Thus, there has not been a single firmware update since its release early this year. So I do not think I can use KIES to obtain the firmware
I am really desperate right now, and any help to find a firmware for SHV-E150S will be greatly appreciated.
By the way, according to the KIES registry information, the Software Revision version is E150SKRFB25, which I'd assume it to be the firmware version.
Also, if other (foreign) firmwares can be used for the phone, please give me some pointers or directions.
I really don't care about maintaining the locality or korean-specific aspects of this phone
Thanks in advance.
I didn't even know there was a Korean LTE version, let alone one with PHONE functions. I wonder if a dev can hack an image of that tab to work on the i815 to gain phone functionality. The E150S seems to have different LTE bands tho ;[
E150S: http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=3436&c=samsung_shv-e150s_galaxy_tab_7.7_lte_m16
i815: http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=3257&c=verizon_samsung_sch-i815_galaxy_tab_7.7_lte
I can dream, right ?
Sorry tho. I Wish I could help.
Maybe a dev here can help you obtain CWM for the device so that you can create a stock nandroid image?
Actually all I need to do is root the phone, since I need it for development.
Since a rooted firmware does not exist, I just assumed that I would need the stock firmware for rooting.
Please correct me if I am wrong, and let me know how to root it without getting the stock firmware.
This root method has worked so far for the 6800, 6810 and i815 versions. Maybe it would work for you?

ngeroons 41.75.
Thanks for the input,
But it says,
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
And, something funny about my tablet is that it seems like it's not reading from the SD card. I had to save it in the tablet for the recovery tool to see the file.
Problem Solved!!
I finally got the firmware thanks to

The firmware for SVH-E150S can now be found at either

It seems like I can't post the urls since I am new to this forum....
So can't write down the full URL, but I figure most of you should know these websites already

must root shv-e150s
Dear kthlee,
It appears you were able to download the ROM image and root your galaby tab. I bought a shv-e150s in Korea last year. And I very much want to root it to get rid of several annoyances that are useless if you are not in Korea. Can you perhaps post a step-by-step of how you did it? I know how to download the image from sammobile, that is not the problem. What to do afterwards is what I do not know. I fear I will just end up with a newly formatted tablet, still not rooted. Thank you in advance.
Well gentlemen since there is much discussion in this and several forums of the S4 GT-i9500 on the possibility of returning from Lollipop 5.0.1 to Kit Kat 4.4.2 after to have installed the version of 4 archives + the PIT or the version of SamMobile + PIT and that all we thought reason why it seems that it can be but that nobody has verified is that I occurred to the task of verifying if it is possible to return from Lollipop to 5.0.1 Kit kat 4.4.2 and that the S4 is working without problems and the result cannot be betteIF IT CAN AND IT WORKS EVERYTHING.-.-
Tools:
Firmware: I9500XXUGNJ1_SER
PIT: PIT Adonis
J1 Modem: Modem J1
Process :
The first thing is being in Lollipop install a custom as Recovery like TWRP or Phiilz if not installed there, immediately afterwards to enter recovery and to do all the wipes and all the formats, already we remained in this point without UNDER.
Now we reinitiated in Download Mode while in the PC we run Odín with privileges of Administrator (we do as always it) and loaded the PIT in the corresponding button and firmware downloaded of Kit Kat 4.4.2 , we connected the S4 and when it detects it to Odín we give START and we hoped to that it finishes.
When it initiates we will not see that there is no network, we have in the bar of tasks the circle with the crossed line, we will have the IMEI either or NULL, NOT TO BE HOPELESS.-
Now we put again the S4 in Download Mode while in the PC we run Odín again (as Administrator not to forget) and load modem.bin file that we will have extracted of the downloaded one and removing from the folder J1 Modem, immediately afterwards the install it and to the minute the S4 will begin and now already it will have signal of network and everything working.
NOTE: So that it is clear and they are not mistaken, the install Modem not in the same process with firmware + the PIT, because it is not going it to take, in fact firmware has the modem including but in the installtion for some reason it does not install it, for that reason soon it is necessary to only make a installation with the modem and it is put in button CP (Phone).-
Here is an image that testifies grounds if they can enter the properties of the image:

This is such a helpful topic but cannot understand the explanation (especially the second, modem part). Please put a video or screenshot.
I think it is simple..
1. Flash PIT and ROM together ( PIT for only people have 11GB )
2. After Installtion of ROM flash modem provided here
Is Knox Warranty Void untouched after this procedure?
I want to return Android 4.4.2 from Android 5.0.1 officialy updated over the air but i don't know what effect would this operation (like described herein) have on KNOX Counter. Can You check how Knox Warranty Void changes when system is downgraded by this method?

And if i will not use custom recovery, if i will use only stock recovery to wipe data and only Odin for downgrading? What if i will use any stock firmware with this Adonis.pit file and modem.bin rendered herein?
I OTA to 5.0.1 recently and totally hate it. Have been googleing if I can downgrade to 4.3 but no luck. Am hopeing that someone here can help. I've got the stock firmware and odin what else do I need? Thanks in advance.
@lobomarino
If this what you choose to call "tutorial" is the result of running a text through Google translate something must have failed in the process.
The purpose of a tutorial is usually to clear up and enlighten. Throwing out random grammar of English words is not helpful in that direction.
You don't have to perform Oxford English, but do give it second try and perhaps ask a friend speaking regular English to proof read.
Hay plz upload the video
i dnt really undrstand , pls correct this tutorial before someone mess up their phone.

Lobomarino don't seem to care much about the feedback so far. Hard to say if regular English is the right tool.

knox free and root
Hi at all,
I rooted my S6 successfully with CF-Auto-Root by chainfire. I am now not able to do an OTA-update within the OS, so I think I have to flash updates of stock roms by downloading it from sammobile.com and flash it via ODIN. When I follow the last advices given in some threads I have to go to http://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?r=&v=&q=sm-g920f and look for the latest firmware released by samsung. But how do I know which one the correct one is? The version always begins with G920FXX followed by U3 or S3. Can anyone tell me the "syntax" of the meaning of the firmware version or the deifference between these two version-trees? Do I have to choose the german version if I bought a german phone, or does it not depend on that?
Again my question in a short way: How can I update OS/firmware after rooting the S6?
Thanx-a-lot for your hints and ideas!
Regards
Clemens

Hello,
I would like to downgrade a Galaxy Note Edge (N915FY) to Android Kitkat but I haven't done it in a few years. I wanted to make sure I understood everything before I made any mistakes. I saw on differents topics on XDA that Samsung was preventing to downgrade on their devices since android 5.0.1.
In this case :
Is reinstalling the bootloader of an Kitkat firmware with Odin is enough to reinstall an stock android 4.4 firmware after ?
Did you know where I can find an Android 4.4 bootloader for N915FY (can I extract it from the stock firmware) ?
Did I need to do and tick "Re-Partition" on Odin ?
If I do a re-partition, what PIT file should I use (see on sammobile.com) ? (TBLTE_EUR_OPENBTU_HIDDEN100M.pit or TBLTE_EUR_OPENBTU.pit)
What is the difference between SM-N915FY and SM-N915F, I understand that one was for the European market and the other for the international market (bootloader?, partition?, LTE frequency?) ?
Do any of you have a Kitkat full stock firmware (BL, AP, CP, CSC) region XEF ? I can't find any on Internet, all the links are dead.
Thanks a lot for your help
Feel free to answer me even if you only have part of the answer !

Hello,
Thanks for your answer, I finally left the phone with the latest version of marshmallow available. What surprises me is that I only saw positive opinions on the kitkat version, since the phone works pretty well so I thought it wasn't worth the risk of downgrading.
Maybe the bugs you had come from a problem with the memory chip in your note 4, I have the impression that this often happens after a few years.
Edit: Oh! And did you have to dowgrade you bootloader before install kitkat ? I also tried to install kitkat on a defective note 4 motherboard and I had a lot of bug, but it was without repartion and with a one file firmware (I did'nt find any 4 files/repair firmware for the n915fy with android 4.4). Also an important part of link of firmware listed on samsung-update for kitkat are dead.
