See the original one has been built from source and has bugs of its own. This one is complied from another dev. So it is different.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

Boot.img huh?
See if you are on jb and want to restore jb Rom then boot.img is not necessary to restore but if u have any ics backup then only it is necessary.

after 4 days i using this recovery mode... i feel very comfortable with this recovery mode... the have no bug in backup and restore... it the best recovery mode that i ever use... nice work dev... keep it up...

i'm facing a problem after switching from cwm (v6.0.1.2) to twrp v2.4.3.0. every time i do something in recovery, i get the message E : Invalid block device on '/boot emmc' , 'boot' , 24. i'm able to install flash-able zip mods. i'm also able to create backups, but restore results in bootloop. anyone in a similar situation?
@icoolguy1995, please see this thread. is this error present in the release given in the op? please help me get rid of that error. thanks.

I think your recovery partion has been corrupted. Flash stock recovery from spflashtool if it didn't work then flash stock rom from spflashtool.

Cwm has nothing to do with vib. I guess youre using cm11, before vib works 100%ok? Try to activate vib i haptiv_vib app

No.. Vibration bug is in CM11 so if you flash it, same, no vibration

Someone plz help me, I have tab 2 with Sensonic rc 1 rom. Every time i flash any zip file in recovery mode (philz recovery) it keep showing error plz upgrade to latest binary.

if you have superSU it does the work see that data connection is on

There's no superuser apk separately, its attached with ROM i am using and present in setting menu.Thank u very much for ur reply... Plz help me.

It does mean the update-binary inside the flashable ZIP is not up to date.

No need to replace it. If you like, you can take the update-binary from a KitKat build (ectract it from the Rom.zip) and replace inside your ZIP.

The ROM can be flashed but SMS may not work.

Root isn't working...u have to manually flash the updates SuperSU v2.40

Hi .. Follow the steps .. but getting error while flashing via TWRP . please have a look at the error msg .. PFA
assert failed : mount("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/system", "/system");
E: error exucting updater binary in zip '/sdcard/lollipop.zip"

I just flashed it over CM12 Official.. not sure if bootloader was changed or not.

I used the zip (536 mb) ... other ota file (356 MB) provided in other threads didnt work me .. was getting version mismatch etc error.
