Hello, Im new to rooting and I recently rooted my alcatel one touch 918n or I thought I did. I installed a root checker app on google play then it said I was rooted then I looked at the details and it stated that I had some sort of busybox file but no su file or such I tried using titanium back but it said cannot find su binary. Then I tried SuperSU then it said su binary not found and we cannot install it. Any suggestions in installing the.su binary folder or should I try rooting again? Thanks if you reply info info and suggestions help a lot.

Download this to your internal storage http://download.chainfire.eu/372/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.86.zip - reboot in recovery and install the zip file. Reboot phone, job done.
Please someone help me .
I've got an update from chainfire, then after reboot my phone lost the su binary. When open the chainfire apps, it said the su binary is not installed and the super su cannot install it. What should I do?

I wrote on this threat that Chainfire has problems with some roms... You could try the solution i provide there (but i do not know if it will fix your problems). If i where you, i would first try the solution from the above topic, then uninstall Chainfire and then install/reinstall busybox (with this app), then check if super su is fine. Else, make a titanium back app and flash a rom...
First of all make a backup...
What is the function of Busybox? It okay to use it?

The "function" of Busybox? If that means: "What is Busybox?", here we are...
Busybox is something that you install to give you some additional LINUX / UNIX based commands. You need Busybox installed in order to run apps that demand these commands which are not available to you and you made need them for some root level tasks.
If you need it, install it with this app.

Is that the UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.99r3 ?
Also, do you think I can put TWRP and Root it again using the toolkit? (Or any other way that won't wipe my phone)

Rooting wont erase anything. Drop the toolkit learn to do it manually, it will save you a lot of headaches. Copy the su file to your phone, reboot into TWRP recovery, install from zip, find and install superSU file. If root does not stick, look into SU settings and remove " Respect CM Root Settings " and reboot to system.
I am using lenovo S820. I updated my phone to kitkat 4.4.2 and lost root access. I tried various apps to root my phone and finally succeeded in rooting with vroot/iroot. As the app is in chinese I replaced the chinese super user with the supersu from playstore with the help of this link. http //forum xda-developers com/showthread php t=2532818. but now I am facing a problem that Firstly I lost root and secondly when I open the supersu apk I get a msg that "there is no su binary installed and supersu cannot install it. If u upgraded to 4.3 u need to manually reroot it. I tried to update the supersu apk from playstore but I get an error cannot update it. Please help how to install the su binary.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I would try posting your question in the link you provided. I also found this which may help you too, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2434453

I have been searching a method to install playstore in my LYF Flame 6. I really love this phone and the only one demerit I found was the absence of Google play services hence we can't use playstore or any google related products such as Gmail, youtube, map and many more google apps. Finally, I had found a solution to install Google playstore in flame 6. I'll explain it step by step. Currently, my phone's OS version is 5.1 so I'm not sure about 5.1.1.
Please download the zip file
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/65930505/playstore.zip
*included in every file required for the process is in the zip file.
*Your firmware version should be "LYF_LS-4005_06_08" otherwise it won't work.
1. Install kingroot to gain root access.
2. Replace kingroot with SuperSu. (please google how to replace kingroot with supersu)
3. Install FlahFire. hence, currently there is no custom recovery for flame 6, we have to use FlahFire to flash Gapps.
4. Open FlashFire grand root access, now add the provided playstore_flash.zip file. Remember I had tried many Gapps(pico) but every time the installation get aborted due to insufficient system storage space, so please use provided Gapp zip file.
Now you should see Google playstore is installed along with google play services. Besides this, I had provided the additional file called Google contact sync, install it if you want to sync your google contacts.

Also do you have Flame 6 LS-4005 Firmware?

Thank you. I have installed and hope it will run smoothly. By the way, I want to share my story about problem with google play. Before this, I often download apk files to install apps indirectly. Sometimes, I am angry because it takes time and some apps are not available. Anyway, I have apk files for next installing in case google play has problem again.
