CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
BroadcomCM is based on the CyanogenMod Project. Our goal is to create ROMs based on CyanogenMod Sources for Broadcom BCM21553 devices. All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the broadcomCM Github repo. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Many of you guys have expierienced problems while flashing things on my kernel, Roms and suhc. Due to all my works are based on EXT4 filesystem, you can't simply flash those ROMs you will need a procedure to be made, and that's what I'm going to explain:
NOTE: if you are on an EXT4 ROM jump to step 5. If you don't know, flash stock ROM and follow ALL the steps.
(RECOMMENDED) Be on a stock ROM, installation will be cleaner
Download THIS EXT4 tool, the Kernel and the Rom on your device.
Flash on Samsung recovery (or your recovery if you are not on stock), my temp. CWM.
When you are on the Temp. CWM, flash the EXT4 Formatter tool, so whole system will be converted to EXT4. (Stock filesystem is RFS)
After the installation, flash my kernel you have downloaded before.
When the Kernel is installed, go, on the CWM, to advanced --> reboot recovery (this will reboot the device, and turn it on on the new CWM of kernel)
Wipe data, cache and dalvik
(IMPORTANT) Go to mounts and storage, and make sure system is mounted (will show unmounted) mount it 2 times!
Go to install zip from SD Card, choose zip from SD card and install your CyanogenMod, AOSP, Cyanmobile, whatever your EXT4 Based ROM is. (MAKE SURE installation last more than 5 seconds, if is less than 5 secodns, your system is unmounted! repeate step 8).
After installation, go back and reboot system, if you made it good, ROM boots, so no problem on it.
That's the cleanest installation, there are other ways, but this one won't give you so much problems. Why do we have to make all of this? Because to run AOSP based ROMs (CyanogenMod or others), EXT4 is the best filesystem, so we need to convert RFS (Samsung) to EXT4, and this are the steps to do it perfect!
NOTE: MY kernel has a "bug", if you don't mount before installing, ZIP file won't be installed! Make sure everytime you mount system properly!
Many thanks to Lopicl.00 who created this EXT4 tool, useful for every noob user!

What the? Hell yeah....
Thanks, you 've done very good at rom and kernel

News:
1. guys having no deep sleep or deep sleep after an hour:
mostly you guys are coming from cm9 or cm9 based roms or gb roms. so after flashing, don't start checking the cpuspy for deep sleep. first discharge your battery fully after flashing, then recharge fully. then test with cpuspy. thank you.
2. V3 with 2.6 kernel has usb mounting problem. it is caused by boot.img>ramdisk>init.qcom.usb.rc. i could not fix it because of lack of time.
workaround is to reboot to recovery and got to mounts and storage option and then mount usb storage. other than that its all good.
3. Kernel 3.o.x is quite stable, imho. I have not noticed any graphic glitches. But battery is better in 2.6.35.14 kernel.
4. Dpi has been reduced to 210,to make the rom look more slick and beautiful. But this might lead to play store compatibility issues. You will then need to change density to 240.
How to do it:
grab root explorer
go to system>build.prop.
edit it with text editor
find the line ro.sf.lcd_density
change the value from 210 to 240.
then reboot.
Google Now Works?
And you will keep update this ROM or not?
p.s: FIRST !!
Thanks alot for your return!
Very very very nice.
Great work Doom!!!

Y U must be kidding me.
It's only about 30 min from the Thread start and you want battery life?
I'm prtty sure Doomsday94 don't have time to check "BATTERY LIFE" .
Will that desktop's clock .apk work on ICS?
I'm referring to the clock that is posted on one of the screenshots.
If so, do you mind uploading it?
Thanks
OMG awesome Doom
Thank you for bringing this on our device! I love you man (no homo).

some first impressions:
everything very smooth, about good things I will post later but its excellent!
and now:
setting gets fc while changing some of the trebuchet options
alarm doesn't have voice, only vibration
while on national roaming, always shows R next to the signal bar strenght, couldn;t see network what I'm using on mobile data - that's because there's no 3rd option to tick in roaming settings
as far I found those ones.
Found another bug: Speech Recorder will FC

This is an unofficial SlimBean ROM compiled for the Sensation. The ROM is experimental. Please include logcats, kmesg and dmesg when reporting problems. If you don't know how, search.
I am not associated with SlimBean, but I liked the idea of a small ROM and some of the tweaks. It's built using Team-Hydra's source and kernel; that includes Albinoman887's and Bruce2728's work.

Help! My phone reboots when I turn on 'USB Storage':
This is caused by an application running on the SDCard. The phone can not kill the application so reboots, and this in turns allows you to turn on USB Storage.
A simple fix is to move all applications to internal storage.
- Go into Settings > Apps > Slide to 'ON SD CARD'
- Click on the applications with a checkbox.
- Move to Phone.
- Rinse and repeat for each application on the SD Card.
Facebook or an application is acting up:
Halo does cause issues with some applications. Try closing Halo and closing all applications through the 'Recent Apps' menu.
I can't install an APK, I can't click the install button:
Again, close Halo temporarily and try again.
Changelog:

- Upstream Changes
11/12 June 13:

- Various optimisations and bug-fixes.
- Added QWERTY character map.
- Video auto focus still not fixed (sorry!)
- Fixed sOuterContext logcat spam on OpenPDroid build by nulling the variable so it can be reused (Not very clever but it worked).
02 June 13:
- Open music player on headset connect now resides in Settings > Interface > Sound
- Default Wallpaper changed (it seemed cool when looking at it full size, now not so much)
- Added APNs (Spiderio)
- Optimized a few things (forgot what I changed exactly)
- Kernel changes from Albinoman (see his CM10.1 thread)
- KCM reverted, will switch a QWERTY keyboard later
- WiFi region seems to work after reboot (for me at least)
- Under Volt init.d script removed.
- Removed any swap clearing init.d scripts.
- Fixed crons again.
- All Slim changes included, latest build is 6.
21 May 13:
- Clean source.
- Launcher freezes fixed.
- Default wallpaper changed.
- Audio routing properly fixed. Headset now works on boot/reboot. ( Thanks CyanogenMod -beat me to it, by five minutes  )
- Fast-charge compiled but turned off.
- Fixed SU problems.
- Found SDCard 'USB Storage' soft reboots problem. FAQ for solution.
- Added all previous fixes, minus ASEC fix.
- KCM (keyboard character map) is now fixed. Using type FULL instead of type QWERTY.
- OpenPDroid build has the same changelog (as it's rebased) but with all OpenPDroid things.
OpenPDroid build being released later.
10 May 13:
(Build will be uploaded after I've compiled and tested them!)
OpenPDroid:
- OpenGL errors corrected.
- Latest kernel from Albinoman. S2W and fast-charge enabled.
- Clean source. No fixes other than wired-headset fix and OpenGL fix.
- All build.prop tweaks from ROM w/o OpenPDroid included.
- Other fixes will be added, this is more or less a test.
Without OpenPDroid:
- Fresh source.
- Reapplied all (almost all) fixes.
- Added init.d script to calibrate proximity sensor on boot.
- S2W enabled.
- Fixed 01slim init.d script. Now runs and zip aligns/fixes permission on boot.
- Added ASEC script to run on boot (as init.d script).
- Several other fixes (too lazy to list them today).
- Updated Apex to version 2.0.0
3 May 13:
- Updated to Build 5.
- Smart Capture, Audio Triggers and several resolutions added to Camera application.
- Removed a lib that was causing issues.
2 May 13:
- Added init.d script to clean swap every hour/day or week.
Edit /sdcard/cron/cron.conf to change which swaps you have. By default all three are enabled.
- Corrected dirty fix for "voip_flag=" spam.
- Updated to latest source. (Video fix included, thanks Arco!)
- Fast Charge and Sweep2Wake are not complied with the kernel. This is to ensure proximity sensor works and extend battery life (fast charge causes problems with charge level as far as I know).
- Used S2W fix from Albinoman's/Team-Hydra's Phone Application.
- Several build.prop tweaks (they'll be tested before I push the real build)
- Compile missing libs (some libs are just plain missing).
- Working to fix libc error.
- Developer options enabled by default.

- Replaced Music with Apollo.
- Replaced MusicFX with DSPManager
- Using latest Kernel from Team-Hydra (Visit Albinoman's CM10 ROM thread for more details)
- Cleaned up source.
- Updated source.

I haven't added any myself, so all tweaks are Slim tweaks or CM tweaks (since they seem to be similar). This is just a first compile to see what works, what doesn't and what needs to be fixed first.
Possibly the first big bug has to be the missing Camera... opps.

Going by other CM10 ROMs, it may not be. As I don't have an MHL cable; if you're willing to test it out for me I would really appreciate it!
Great job on the build.
Zero problems to report. All extra interface options are all working.Having used the official S3 ROM, I have to say that this is just as good.
I've attached a few extra screenshots to help wet the appetites.-(The Dark/Stock theme switch is a winner).
Thanks to the OP for the share.
Regards
eagerly looking forward to working camera... great rom overall...
Will try this when I'm home. I like 4.2.2 and love Slim. Thanks man.

No problem. This is experimental though!
Logcats and dmesgs please!
I'm working on fixing things but need sleep right now... and pop tarts. If you guys find more bugs or errors let me know.
Seems like Camera libs are broken. Camera app is installed yet doesnot appear in drawer.
I tried the camera from 16:9 mod thread, and same problem there too.
Otherwise, the ROM's pretty smooth and love the dark theme. Some tweaks available on interface menu are pretty cool. Thanks alot.

If i was you i would ask albinoman or bruce for help getting the camera fixed on this one...pretty sure they can help you out, anyways im glad to see you delivering such a great ROM to the sensation as I'm running it right now on my replacement Samsung Galaxy S2 and its smooth as butter:good: good luck!
Sweep2wake isn't working, which isn't too big if a deal to me, but headphone playback isn't working (from my limited testing on YouTube and the music player)
Slim bean has been my favorite rom since the 4.2.2 version was released and I will be switching back once headphone playback is fixed, but for now back to cm10.1.
Fantastic first build keep up the good work.

FAQ
Can you include Feature X into your ROM?
No. This ROM will have CyanogenMod's feature set.
Can you include S-Note/S-Planner/MultiWindow/Insert Samsung App Here?
No. This is an AOSP ROM and cannot have TouchWiz applications.
Can you include call recording?
No. CyanogenMod does not include call recording to avoid potential legal issues.
Can you add Feature X to the stock ROM?
No. I don't work on stock ROMs.
What kernel does this ROM use?
A slightly modified version of the stock kernel, the source code is linked above.
I've heard that Broadcom doesn't release source, how can you make this ROM?
Contrary to the popular belief, userspace driver source code is not always required to make an AOSP-based ROM as long as the proprietary binaries shipped with the device does not modify the API too heavily (or is from a very different version of Android). Instead of modifying the source code of the drivers, the Android source code was adapted to be able to use the proprietary binaries.
Can I use your ROM as a base?
http://source.android.com/source/licenses.html
Most of Android/CyanogenMod is licensed under the Apache License with other small parts licensed under other open-source licenses. Which means that you may modify and redistribute without asking for permission as long as the proper credits is given and it is not misappropriated as being the official CyanogenMod. (In other words, you must say that it is based on pawitp's unofficial CyanogenMod, but is not related to CyanogenMod in any other way.)
Reporting Bugs
You are allowed to report bugs only in this thread.
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. The following is a useful format to follow.

F2FS
This Rom unofficial build supports f2fs since the latest build. Don't ask me, what it is. Just google it.
Instructions for f2fs:
Download the modified recovery for f2fs based on philz advanced cwm from here and flash it
Save your data, your whole internal storage will be formatted soon.
Put the rom, the .zip I attached and optional gapps on your EXTERNAL sdcard
Flash the .zip I attached(It will format system, cache and the internal storage as f2fs)
Flash the rom and optionally gapps
DO NOT FLASH A KERNEL, WHICH DOES NOT SUPPORT F2FS
say thank you to @k2wl
If you want to revert back to the usual ext4 partitions, format data, cache and system with a NORMAL recovery. You can also flash stock
Thanks
- The CyanogenMod team for providing a great ROM. Without all the compatibility work which went into it, this ROM would've been much harder to make
- @pawitp for his base on i9082
- @KINGbabasula
- @beastaki23 thousands of thanks for the old vibration workaround
- @s2+user
- @DerTeufel1980 for the f2fs backports
- @k2wl for some other f2fs stuff and helping me with it
FIRST! And also thank you very much for your hard work! Please keep this updated.

USB is not working, not even using the USB Mass Storage app from the Playstore helps under CM11, it did work with the CM10.2 version though. Other than that I have not run into any problems but I am a fairly "light" user meaning there are quite a few things I don't use at all like radio or playing music/video.

Story:
As most of you all might know.
In the last month Broadcom was very kind to us and released the HW drivers for our devices ( BCM21553 )
These sources where based upon android 4.0.1 and thus not working on 4.0.4.
We as Team BroadcomCM (SpaceCaker and Bieltv.3) have been working from the release date till now to make these compatible with 4.0.4 ICS and tested these to make sure all edits where right.
During this we worked almost 24/7 to get it proper.
As first result we had it working on AOSP ICS 4.0.4 ( SpaceCaker Build ) But sadly on this we didn't had touchscreen working and Colors not proper.
Later we build on CM9 (Bieltv.3 build) and found out that colors as in previous build weren't proper.
After tons of work and such we found out that our problem was laying in something very simple, something we overlooked during the editing process. After Biel tried the fix it suddenly worked like it should and from then with our latest Team edits we managed to get the HW drivers ported the proper way.
Thanks to our amazing team we have got HW to work proper now.
Also A lot of thanks to Broadcom for releasing the initial drivers.

How to logcat:
Make sure you have ADB installed
Open CMD (Windows) or terminal (Linux) http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html & http://developer.android.com/tools/help/adb.html
Type:
Code:
adb devices
Then type:
Code:
adb logcat -v long > totorologcat.txt
Then the file logcat.txt will be saved on the directory you're doing the commands
Paste it on pastebin.com and post it, we will thank you
Shall I make the review and installation video?
When does the cooperve version come out? I am so excited!

@bieltv.3, when you say Audio is not working, is that means no ringtones or just no sound while playing music ?
I just whait for that and the USB Mass Storage to be fixed, and that will be good enough for me, to be a daily usable rom

The network problem and data connection problem can be fixed by using blackreacter kernel.
It works fine but some problems in bluetooth.
The main problems (for me) are usb storage and audio.
Then cm9 would be totally stable for me.
Keep up the good work.

stop mirroring this thread to "htcmania.com".
Thank you for your hard work!! You're a life saver!
It seems to be working quite well, but com.android.nfc seems to be still force launching itself and is using huge amount of batterylife. Would it be possible to write it out of CM so it wouldn't try to launch, until you can get legit drivers for that NFC chip?
