should i buy htc one X

i have tried a lot to find s2 i9100 bt here in india there is only g version available..
so i gave up bt today i see dis htc one x on net.it is a quad core device so it is really fast and has ics out of box.so i want opinions of all of u..so pls guide

Without any dispute, One X is the best phone right now. If you can be patient, wait for the Galaxy S3 to come out. If you can't wait to get your hands on some Quad Core Goodness, Buy The One X immediately.

i have read that it has battery which cannot be reemoved by us like in normal phones...is this be a disadvantage of this phone??

If what you saying is true, it is a certain disadvantage if you use the phone for development and other purposes.What if you mess something up in your phone, and it just hangs ?? You can do nothing then and will have to wait for battery to run out or for the phone to restart itself !!
Seeing, the traditional style in which samsung makes its phones, i don't think that the battery will not be removable in the Galaxy S3. Just my opinion.

Galaxy S2 I9100G getting official Cyanogen Mod support...codeworkx bought the device!!

yes i have checked..the users are saying that this is a new phone so devs require some time to build its roms

ya i agree wid you bt many users are facing camera and hanging problems wid g version..also its development is not so vast...wat are ur opinons on this???

The new update solves the freezing issues...and guess what? Codeworkx bought the device last week for cyanogenmod...
Btw there is no harm in getting the current gen phone the HTC ONE X!!

I think he was talking about i9100G. I checked out Saholic.com and they have the i9100 Model at showcase. Don't know if its legit or not, but you can contact them and ask them (i think).
BTW Won't you go for other HTC OR Motorola Phones ?? Like Sensation, XE, Atrix 2, Razr(MY fav.).

1x is only an early release of a quadcore processor there is much more things to come in coming months

I agree. It's just the start of an era involving quad core CPUs and the latest Android firmware devices (these devices have the upgrade guarantee which Google's trying to enforce).
I would strongly recommend waiting to see worthwhile competition from major vendors before making a decision.
Also, I too really dislike not having an expandable memory slot... It's a deal breaker for me!

Hello, Am looking for the rom that will be prepared properely for daily user. However I'd like to speed up it slightly as well as user interface suppose to be in it e.g status bar. Is there anything that runs smoothly? MUST BE ALRIGHT FOR DAILY USE!!

For GS3, U shudn't post in dis forum as its a G3 forum...
For G3, there r lots of ROMs in froyo,gb,ics n even jb, out dere which u can try...
But i prefer GB ROMs over the others as dey maintain a strict balance between features and stability...
I've tried Kyrillos 10.6, Kisadworx ,CM7.2 n many more...For daily use, i found Pranjal's ROM v2.3 to be the best of all !:good:
Coz it doesnt compromise with performance and battery backup...as others do..

I just came to know that @Adam77Root & @Epsylon3 have stopped working on CM10.1 for our phone. Is that true? If yes, why?
Also, are they working on CM10.2 together? Or @Epsylon3 is working alone?

The best days with SGR was with you. When Adam successful ported cm 10 to our device with the green screen issue ^^
btw I moved to Galaxy Nexus and now I am with S4

Oh yeah, GNex, my bad. Studying has made me lose some good old memories.
Wow. Been almost a year now since I used to be active. You still remember me and the green screen issue from @Adam77Root 's first ever CM10 build. (Remember how we tried to fix it and failed? )
He sure has worked hard on it and got us almost stable CM10.1.
Good to see you active. And yeah, heartily congratulations to you on your big achievement with dual boot on S4.

Guides for porting vendor roms are useless. The process is simply too involved for any guide to cover all possibilities well and get you a booting rom.
