We all like to burn some time every once in a while =)
My recommendations (all from market):
Pocket Empires (free) - build your castle with farms, barracks, research, etc.. Build an army, raid monsters and other player's cities =) Clone of "Travian" browser game (and others like it).
BreakTheBlocks (free) - a decent arkanoid with good graphics. Has both finger and trackball controls.
Jewellust (free) - clone of Begeweled. Graphics is pretty good, but I can tell that it's a port from lower-res version.
TowerDefense (free) - doh..
Farm Frenzy (paid) - cool game with excellent graphics. Port from PC game. Arcade-kind genre - build your farm, sell some stuff, upgrade buildings, etc.
Red Poker Club (Texas Holdem) (free) - play with real players across the world. Excellent design, graphics, you get 5000 credits for singing up, then 1000 daily. Tons of tables with different limits, buy-ins.. Excellent game.
Adbuction (free) - In my opinion, kinda boring, but excellent if you have small kids who want to play. Has a "kid" difficulty setting where you can't lose. Fully controlled by accellerometer.
Air Control (free) - everyone knows it probably. Use your finger to set plane flight paths to have all planes and helicopters land safely. My GF can't put this game down. She beat my record, which damaged our relationship.
Asphalt 5(paid) - best graphics your N1 is capable of. Amazing 3D graphics, much better than Raging Thunder, although controls are kinda lacking and gfx engine struggles sometimes. I think developer promised an update to fix the GPU "struggle".
Bonsai Blast (free) - excellent, beautiful and fun "Zuma"-style game. Great time waster, when you don't want to think too much.

World War - (free) So good it has it's own thread about it.
Super KO Boxing 2 - (free/paid) HUGE one time download, but after that it is an awesome Mike Tyson style knock out game. There is a free ad-supported version and a $4.99 paid version. don't ask me about the differences.
Frozen Bubble - (free) Bust-a-Move style bubble breaker game. It is free and is easy to jump in and out of.
Tiki Towers - (paid) Help 5 monkeys get from point A to point B. A little pricey at $4.99, but good graphics and a lot of fun.
Frogly - (free/paid) Make a frog jump for flys (more fun than it sounds I promise).

HOW TO PLAY :
Like all the puzzle bobble style games, you have to form clusters of at least 3 same colored balls to blow them up.
2 Modes of control :
1/ Tap direclty the screen on the wanted direction
2/ Or press under the launcher, aim, and release to shoot the ball
You can swap the ball on the launcher with Dino's ball tapping on the ball under Dino.
The birds :
Tap quickly 3 times on the birds before they can add a new ball
Each time you kill a bird, it fills the bird button on the top left
After 3 birds killed, you can press anytime that button, and a bird will help you to remove one random ball.
Multiplayer mode :
Challenge your friend and try to be the first to burst all the bubbles on your favorite levels.
Each time a player pops at least 3 bubbles, a bird will come to add one bobble on his opponent screen.
Be fast, and enjoy the victory !

HOW TO PLAY
So easy to play this game, you know the rules. Just move your bubble gun by swiping on the screen and let go to fire. Match 3 or more of the same bubbles to release the fruit and get points. To complete a level you must release all the acorns from the trees above.
Use your power ups to get further and give yourself an advantage. Each level costs 3 energy points. When you complete a level you get more energy points. Energy also increase automatically every 20 minutes so come back and play later if you don't have enough, or you can buy packs of energy with cash.
