don't you think it's gonna look weird if it's transparent anywhere??? just imagine you are in an app with opaque background ( which is 99.999% of apps have opaque background), and then the nav bar is transparent alone. it will look weird.

Transparent App Drawer

Anyone know if it is possible to make the app drawer transparent? I have always thought the black background while scrolling through apps was ugly. I am sure this is possible through Metamorph but I have no skills.

hmmmm... is that from the genesis theme by shlayer? http://www.mydroidworld.com/forums/slayher/2376-genesis-v1-1-a.html I dl'ed that an replaced the search widget from launcher pro with the one from that theme....
http://www.mediafire.com/?m1mf4jnnnmm
It's more a brushed metal look.
Can you post the dl link for the current theme you're using? I can drop that widget in there if you'd prefer that.
What I'm doing is pulling the search widget pngs from the theme and dropping them into launcher pro then resigning the apk. It's easy if you have the sdk setup, autosign and 7zip... but familiarity with image names and locations helps too.
I'm non rooted and was hoping to change the google search bar to something that matches a honeycomb theme? Can anyone help with this? Please pm me!
I see lots of people wanting to change the google bar colour ,I want the standard white google bar.
Is it possible to put the older style google search bar on ics software.I have downloaded some coloured ones from the play store which are the right style but the browser opens the same colour as the widget, hard on the eyes.
Changing the color should be as easy as changing the color of the graphics in the framework apk of whatever Rom you're on.

free app on the market for the widget
There is an app on the google play that helped me to get the transparent google widget, it is called custom ICS search widget and it works for android 4.4 kitKat.
Note: I am not associated with the app, just found it as a solution

What launcher is this?

I'm not interested in the minimalistic text widgets, just the bar on the bottom. Which launcher is it?
I'm thinking launcher pro. the icons are custom though.

It's Myn Warm TwoPointTwo Themed launcher Pro
All you have to do is:
1. Open up your favorite grapics editor/creator
2. Make an image 480x185
3. Make it look however you want, with text or anything, spaced out keeping the 5 icons spacing in mind
4. Use it as your dock background (with ADW Launcher or Launcher Pro), and setup blank icon image files for the icons for the shortcuts
That's how I made this: http://i.imgur.com/qdI0G.jpg

Yeah I don't run it with the bar on the bottom, it was just a screenshot I had because someone wanted to see what it looked like. The bar on the bottom looks weird and trips me out too much to use.

Hide Notification bar while running apps

Is it possible to hide the notification bar when some apps are running?i know custom launchers allows us to hide the notification bar when the user is at the home screen. But while invoking apps the notification bar again comes up.
I was just wondering whether its possible to hide the notification bar in all cases so as to effectively utilize the entire screen area while running some of the apps.

I don't want to use a wallpaper.
I want full transparent lock screen like the one that petrr make for Xperia T or holo locker for example.
Well, if it's transparent what do you actually see?
If it's your normal background, just change the lock screen wallpaper to that
