1.Don't worry.Just download and flash the proper files for your device
2.Yes,you can.Easily by flashing the stock(sammy) firmware which can be found on www.sammobile.com
3.CM11,Resurrection Remix,Omni,Aosb-ProBAM,ExSlim,Sazy,PACman and etc.
The choice is yours.

oh okay Thank you

I have tried every one of the mentioned ROMs above and my choice is for sure:
Resurection REMIX (Kit kat 4.4).
If you like to keep it stock, SAZY is doing a great job pimping the sammys stock

Here is my guide how to root s2 plus.

1. There is a very little chance it will brick. But most likely it won't.
2. You can flash the Stock ROM with Odin.
3. I don't recommend any, it is just your personal preferences. If you want a smooth ROM, you could flash CM11. If you want much animations, then I recommend Pac-Man ROM. Just see for yourself which ROM is the one you like.
TIP:
Use KingoROOT to root your device, it is very quick, easy and safe.

keep calm, I also was worried about doing something stupid, just flash from Odin the right firmwares, the phone should not be bricked forever until you can reach the download mode.

[Q] Galaxy Ace GT-S5830D Koodo "network" problem cyanogen 7.1 kang

Hello... I am a new ( noob ) in THE XDA forum. So if I do a things that I'm not supposed to do, told it to me. ( I speak french so I will do my best I can )
Now the real things:
- I flash my GT-S5830"D" to cyanogen 7,1 ; 9, official, unofficial... What ever, with no * succes. (I dont now if the "D" is important)
The wifi always crash ( need to close and re-open it ), my ACE wont receive SMS or share it "sometimes" and the DEL brightness always change ( the screen become black and after it come like normal )
- I'm with Koodo ( TELUS ). I think that Koodo are the problem, because they make our Android OS and bla bla.
- If you cant help me for CyanogenMod, try to restore of my first OS.
-->I backup it with CWM 5, but it wont install it correctly. ( boot logo stay on the "Galaxy ACE bla bla..." )
Very big thanks.
P.S. if you help me and it work, I will work to help programing Galaxy ACE! I promise.
try restoring it via CWM recovery.. if no success try flashing via odin.. hope it helped

So help me please
P.S. I thanks you for who responding.

Yes I've try full or not with Odin and the firmwares install with no problem. It is when I open the phone problem start. I can rarely share a SMS or receive.
So I'm relly thinking that a need a special Koodo firmware or a developper who can create me a special firmware.
Okay,
First thing, CM7 will work with your Ace.
Second thing, you cannot use CWM to restore a backup of a stock ROM.
Third thing, check your APN settings. You are going to need to manually create a Sp.koodo.com APN with all the settings detailed inside.
Did you have any problems flashing?

Yes you cannot flash your stock ROM with CWM, flash it with odin instead.
About installing-uninstalling thing nope it will not break your motherboard and it has nothing to do with it
Just flash a different ROM via CWM 4 or 5. My favorite is the Myth, it's based on stock with a couple of nice performance mods. It works great on the Ace.
PS. Don't listen to Koodo, they don't know what they are talking about...

You may try flasing tj_droid Stocklite v6.. based on the latest firmware DDKQ8, Pure stock bareboned + Scripts - will definitely makes your phone smooth..
Try a new one
Well if u do wanna switch to cyananogen then why are u trying CM7.1??
Go for 7.2 and best try Miracle v4ROM on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1583871
Just follow the simple instructions
Remember to adhere strictly to the instructions otherwise u can get into problem
After installing u will not see your messages..so in that thread some files like <All System Apps> are given..unzip them and put on ur SD..
then using any Root explorer paste those files (like mms.apk for messaging service) in /system/apps
Thats all...u will see a great ROM...extremely fast with ICS layouts..
Don't forget to hit THANKS if i helped..
resolved
Ok my problem seem to be resolved... On the internet I finally found a Koodo 2.3.4 galaxy ace firmware to flash with ODIN. So I flash it, but I reinstall CM 7.2.0 FAT KANG and it seem to work now!! But Cyanogen doesn't detect Koodo carrier, it just detect Rogers, Telus (Telus=Koodo) and an other like 3016...

To answer your question or anyone else's, you'll have to change the CSC to Telus/Koodo. But first make sure you're on a full-package DTLKI4 firmware
First, write down your IMEI that you find in About Phone > Status
Then go into your phone dialer and punch in *#272*your imei#
You'll have a list of CSC codes to choose from, and hopefully TLS/KDO will be on there.
Changing your csc WILL do a complete factory reset on your phone, so be prepared to do that.
Great thanks

[Q] shw m110s

good day to all..
im new with this phone..this one is a korean version of galaxy s1(shw m110s)
im confused with how to install custom roms here...
what do i need to download..a kernel or a custom rom?
thanks xda
Moved to General Q&A.
The kernel allows the ROM to communicate with the hardware specific to your device. All ROMs have a kernel build-in. If the custom ROM is designed fir your phone, it will work fine. If the ROM was intended for a device in the same family as yours, you can flash that ROM, then flash the kernel for your phone, & it'll work. If the ROM was designed for a completely different device, nothing will get it to work.
Remember to always do a nandroid backup before flashing stuff!!

[Q] Help Please! SGS2 - ROM - UHLPG

Hey guys, sorry but I cannot seem to find any information on this.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2, i9100, and I want to root it.
The problem I am having is that I am a [noob] yes I admitted it, but I cannot seem to find the ROM for my device.
I attached a screenshot of my device's about section.
Now I know that the steps are to use ODIN, and then download a CF root, but I can't seem to find my ROM. I am from an island called Trinidad & Tobago (Caribbean) and I have updated my device to ICS.
Can anyone please explain to me, what the hell do I have to do to root this device? I want to install a custom rom, if anyone can vouch for a nice smooth rom that looks great!
Thanks in advance!
Cheers!
ZetaJynx!
This method needs to have an external card to your sii. Put the files both in external and internal card too. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1501719

Now if u want to install a custom rom install first a custom kernel for samsung ics 4.0.3 (not aokp aosp) from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1702166 and after install rom. U can do this using the temporary cwm u downloaded before. Is the safest way this because custom kernels had injected cwm and not using temporary cwm. Read well the instructions of the developer before installing , also check before installing a custom rom if it has a safe kernel because excists a brick bug at samsung roms 4.0.4 and +.

U can flash any ROM u want, unless the ROM owner explicitly specifies a different kernel.
I experienced that some special ROMs aren't working with siyah, but the popular ones like CM, AOKP, PA and MIUI will be compatible.

Any rom you flash will have a kernel packaged with the rom so you don't have to worry about compatibility with the initial flash. Should you decide on a different kernel with that rom then you check for compatibility between desired kernel amd rom

This is the best way to root
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48709232
iroot 25 will make a backup of your EFS files
After for more secure do this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451390 it will make flashable zip if u will delete your EFS than just flash it back to normal.(copy to your computer backup.zip)

This is easy way for a custom recovery ( use Philz Recovery best for 4.4.2 roms ) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2633941
u can flash newest Philz after cause there ver. is 6.19.7 to this one 6.25.4D801 or find your D800,1,2, or other model there http://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition

if u comming from 4.2.2 and like to flash 4.4.2 u need to flash first KK Baseband u can get one here http://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=12880 then u can flash any 4.4.2 rom ( DO NOT FORMAT INTERNAL - only system ) like i did before
i like CloudyPro2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2680745
or if u like stock then u can flash CloudyStock http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2661866
i use this kernel with CloudyPro2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2707437 but not sure yet how good is that (just flashed today)
