[Q] Recacon Remote Camera App for Sony QX10 Camera - General Questions and Answers

Hello,
I want to download the Recacon camera remote software for my Sony camera QX10 in the google market. But it is not possible to do this from Germany, only from US and Japan.
Does anyone knows, where I can download the software as an *.apk-File?
I donĀ“t find anything about this in google
Thanks
Berthold

You can download it from http://market.1mobile.com/ but strangely you can buy the license througth Google play when installed on phone.
Seems a little bettre than the Sony software.
As the Sony can connect through NFC, this app can't, you should first have a direct wifi connection with the QX 10.
There's also a desktop version who work from Windows OS and MAC.
A simpla app in Windows, but you cant shoot from your computer with the QX10 somewhere in the house.

PS3 remote play on Android

Hello all,
i've searched around but couldn't find a definitive answer...
Sony recently released their new android phone called Aido, and it has a remoteplay feature to control PS3(not sure if its via blue tooth or wifi), does that mean that feature can be ported to other android powered devices???
from my understanding that should work, because PS3 alowes for blutooth remotes, so its just a matter of creating an appropriate app for android, correct?
i think its only matter of finding the app but i would like to know how 2
I couldn't find any apps for this. I would LOVE to be able to use it too. Sony Ericsson said there will be DNLA compatibility with the X10 soon, much like their Aido.
PS3 Media Server would be PERFECT as well on the Android. It encodes ANY video file on the fly and works perfectly. I stream BluRays wirelessly across my home with no effort at all.
Here's to hoping!
The handset was the Aino, it's not 'recently released' (it reached the market October of last year and is already all but discontinued) and it's not Android.
What app did you use for the phone?

[Q] web cam on htc hd7

i would like to ask if is there any app for use my htc hd 7 as a web cam ?
No i dont think so -.-
It wouldn't have been possible before Mango to do this, but now I believe Camera and port access is available so perhaps an app will be on the way in the following months? It would never be able to run in the background however.
You could send the video stream to the PC from an app on the phone. Getting the PC to recognize the stream as coming from a webcam would require writing a driver, though. This is possible but not trivial.

That should depend on your phone's brand, since Camera hardware's drivers will be required to be installed on your pc and then a 3rd party application to control things, so you should search for specific phone like: "HTC Legend camera as WEB CAM for PC" Threads, try googling it...
Dude, first link on google. Alot different programs to use your phone as webcam, just via WLAN. Search for this on google and hit the first link:
"use android phone as webcam"

[Q] Tricking Remote Play to believe its on WiFi

Good morning all,
Yesterday I picked up a TMobile Sony Z3. This is the first Android device I've had since the original Motorola Droid. I've been on iPhones for quite some time.
I like this phone, but I picked it up for one main reason: Remote Play. I'm deep into the Sony Ecosystem, currently owning every Sony Video Game device. PSP, PS3, PS Vita, and a PS4. With my iPhone on Verizon's network, I used to tether my Vita to my iPhone so that I could utilize remote play on the go and away from any wifi network. Remote play functioned just fine this way when my phone was on Verizon's LTE network.
The problem I'm having with this phone, is that the remote play app will not function if it's not on a wifi network. This is an issue for me. Is there a way to trick the app into thinking it's on a wifi network? Or, possibly, is there an apk I can sideload that has this restriction removed?
Thank you for your help.

Anyone have any idea how to trick the phone into thinking it's on WiFi?
You will need root and xposed.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/app-fake-wifi-connection-t2800416
Or maybe some app like this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wifihacker.qfoam
I think it's not good, to use it without WiFi. Because the remote play use a lot of traffic.
On high res qualit for a game round on fifa 15, its took over 1GB Internet traffic via WiFi.

Not sure I'm ready to root yet. Lollipop will be out soon too...
I agree with you. While you wait, you can try any of these apps on Google Play that create a fake WiFi and see if they are able to fool the Remote Play.

Android TV (Sony Bravia) Webcam support

Hi Guys,
so i bought an Android TV a while ago (Sony Bravia KDL-50W805C) and im quite happy with it.
Now i would like to be using Skype, which unfortunately isnt officially supported. I installed the regular Skype APK manually and the App itself works very well. I then bought a UVC-compatible Webcam which doesnt seem to work properly with any app i tried on TV.
Using Skype, i can establish a connection and the webcam is turned on (can tell from the LED flashing) and the webcams microphone is also working. However, no image is coming. Im guessing its some access restriction. I dont see any technical reason why this would not work.
The Chipset of my TV is some Mediatek ... i can tell you better if this should be of importance. Maybe anyone here is able to help me out or point me in the right direction.
Thanks already!
Same issue here, but maby on something
Hey
I have the same issue as Idle_King, but i have begin to do some research. My tv is a sony bravia w80c and I use a logitech c920 as webcamera.
I installed/side loaded skype from my sony experia z3+ with Ez file explorer. Then i relized that the camera and mic dident work,
My first tought was that the webcam dident support otg, so i insertered my otg cable in my z3+ and connected the camera... Nothing happend
The otg camera app found nothing.
After a bit of investigation i found that is a function that need you to identify the usb device, so when I done that, it showd up in the app, so now I know that the camera works like a otg device
I sideloaded the same app to my bravia tv, and it is the same issue here, so i sideloaded an other app (easy otg checker). Maked a search for otg devices and it found my conected webcamera.
So i think that sony must have some sort of usb identify filter that denies the camera to start/connect. So where should i begin to search? Or is it someone that have a solution to this problem?

same webcam issue dark image or no image
same webcam issue dark image or no image
i am using cam of older bravia cam to new bravia (android) ...didnt work1
Don't know if it helps.
BUT
I successfully use a camera called Canyon CNR-WCAM513G1 (1.)
with WhatsApp on a userless Android X86 running on a VM in order to scan QR codes from WhatsAppDesktop
This VM is a device that has WhatsApp Android app installed and connected 24/7 to the internet, so I can use WhatsAppDesktop on all paired computers without messing around with my phone
Good that I do not use WhatsApp at all, maybe now I start using it, lets see. Side effect the picture that is transferred to the main camera of Android on the X86 is mirrored horizontally
Further I found this: The homepage of app Webeecam has the inofficial most complete compatibility list of webcams running on Android:
