Hi everyone, sorry for my bad english.
Found this strange bug in ViperS 5.1.0. If screen auto rotation is disabled, then default camera correctly response to changing phone orientation (pic. 1).
But if Auto Rotation is enabled, then in landscape orientation camera works on portrait mode with black borders at the top and bottom of screen (pic. 2).
I was trying to change auto rotation angles in Venom Tweaks (pic. 3), but bug still appears.
May be someone knows how to fix it? Search in development forum gave nothing.

Hi,
I wonder if there is an app to manually select the orientation (in this case of my HP Touchpad running cm7).
All the widgets available concerning rotation are to turn on/off auto rotate.
My problem is I have a broken accelerometer or something like it (different topic here), so Turning auto-rotate on, puts the touchpad in landscape, upside down (when in a case).
So, is there an app where I can truly choose ( like 0/90/180/270 degrees) the orientation of a device? Or should I build the app myself?
thanks for your brainpower!
Hi all,
I've tried Power Toggles and similar from the Play Store, but none of them actually access the same rotation toggle as the Samsung ICS control, which you can stop rotation at any orientation.
Anyone had any better luck? Most of the toggles I tried just totally didn't work. GMD Smart Rotate allows rotation but when it gets disabled the display always goes back to stock Portrait (so it can't be held in the last-held orientation).
Hi everyone,
I've been having rotation problems with Power Toggles so I'll have to stop using it. (It's caused my screen to not rotate and default to landscape orientation and I've checked all the screen orientation toggles)
My question is that under Settings -> Display, the Auto-rotate checkbox works like expected. What does the Auto-rotate option in Accessibility do?
Are you referring to Quick Settings accessed from the notification window?

Not the tiles themselves but under Settings ->Accessibility, then Auto-rotate Screen. What does that option do exactly? I dont notice anything but I'm worried if that is breaking my Power Toggles
I know that setting, just not sure what 'Power Toggles' are. Auto rotate screen with automatically rotate the display when tilted sideways. This does not apply to some apps as they are made only in portrait view and will not flip. One big example is the stock launcher, it will not rotate.
Hello,
I have a problem with display rotation, on Stock 8.0 i could lock in landscape rotation in apps (like browsers for example) via quicksettings toggle (tap once for auto rotate -> hold phone sideways (while browser open) -> tab toggle again, phone now locked in landscape mode. Ever since updating to 8.1 it wont stick to landscape mode, it will instantly go back to portrait orientation :/
Can anyone confirm if they can still use the quicksetting orientation toggle in the way i described above (anyone on 8.1)? Is it a unknown bug maybe?
I am not using stock kernel (due to magisk and safetynet) but testet it on two different kernels (currently on flash kernel).
Or does anyone know of a solution that does not require an additional app running/managing the rotation?
Thanks!
Edit: For anyone facing the same problem, i found a workaround. It's not perfect but has to do for now: Download "Tiles" from the Playstore (paid app), there one can add a toggle for rotation that toggles through all avaible orientations. It's still more annoying than a native toggle that sticks to landscape straigth away but at least it makes it possible to have an app stick to landscape orientation regardless of phone orientation.
anyone facing this issue of mine?
When screen is set to auto rotate, there be a very slight lag when rotating the screen from portrait to landscape in chrome.
It seems like chrome refresh the screen for that split second everytime u rotate the phone, as the loading bar is present each time I rotate the screen.
Hi
I started facing the same issue few days back on my U11.
Once I rotate the screen to potrait/landscape; the page will be refreshed !
Hope that it's a bug from chrome app and we get an update soon.
