hi i have a problem with my HTC sensation XE
its about microphone
it hard to explain it
it was working fine , and by every next call it became weak
i can't record myselft by recorder app , its usually nothing or sometimes some noises i think that could be the second microphone to reduce noice but why it isnt working all the time but only sometimes ,
in video i newer record anything
so in the calling, i have 3 situations, i heard myself in the speaker but in the second phone i heard nothing
or , i speak normally for 3-5 seconds( i thougt it was becouse WCDMA , it work when i chose it , but then after 2-3 times going from GSM to WCDMA it sometimes works on every of those two ) and then my record went weak and on the seecond phone i can barelly recognize what i was sayiing, and then i again heard normally , and weak and thats over and over
or 3 option , my microphone just doesnt work
i have my phone rooted, the problem i think shouldnt be software becouse i reinstalled CM11 , CM 10.2 Elegantia and now im on Viper 5.1 and on every room the problem cames from the start
i could take it to repair but are you sure it is hardware problem of my microphone

i installed RUU and now , calls looks normal - quite as htc sensation is , video is working perfectly but recording is not so well , its like it was before ...
any fix ? and why i have those problem on custom roms ?

have a problem, just bought my first smart phone and it was TP1, phone is new, newer used. Found some problems with loudspeaker, when i'm using it when talking with friend by phone(gsm conn) after about 3-5minutes(phone goes hotter) and starts that from loudspeaker there is no sound, but when i push icon to turn on earspeaker and then back to loudspeaker the sounds backs but for a while to loudspeaker(there is no problem i think with earspeaker), so in this case i can't hear normally, because after 3min the sound from loudspeaker crashes.
The same problem appears when i'm using wifi and youtube app to watch some videos from the web, after couple of minutes the sound starts crashing, and i can return sound only when I try to stop video for a few seconds and then turn play button again.
Playing video and music from the phone memory doesnt occur this kind of problem.
Also some times observe that keyboard doesnt work, after slide out, but dont know is this reffered to this problem, maybe it's normal
Tried to flash roms, arrived with german vodafone original, then htc WWE(quite similar to german), and now using vodafone UK original rom

but problem stil exist.

Probably hardware if you have flashed other ROMs & issue still exists.
What HardSPL are you using ? you could try the ROM in my signature & the radio version & if issue persists try getting a replacement unit if possible.

and after hour of trying to watch broadcast and talking, problem not appear. So i don't know is that fixed my phone, but now it looks like it does, but i will test it more in the future.
One more question, when talking and using loudspeaker, there should be the sound of GSM signal comes through speaker? The simple Gsm phone with loudspeaker don't have so obvious sound of that.

Having a problem with the sensation .
First of all i have the phone for about 4 days it has android 2.3.3 htc sense 3.0 software number 1.28.401.1 and i have the fallowing problem .
Some time the phone looses all speaker sound , the phone doesn't ring , nothing that uses the speaker is working , youtube clips are not loading anymore , if i play a video the aplication is not working .
I have found that after restarting the phone the speaker works fine , and all the aplications are working again . Last time i had this problem i was playing with the Tom the taking cat aplication , i have just install it it worked for a while , but after restarting the aplication again made the phone soundless .
First time i do not remember what aplication i was running .
I must say that the phone has only a couple applications installed like angry birds , chess , 3g watch dog , some google apps, astro file manager , it seems that there are no crashes with this aplications
Is this a phone problem ? Is a Android problem ? Is this a HTC (Sense UI) problem ?
A friend told me that qould be a problem with the sound driver , and that is why other aplications are crushing because they can't acces it , he told me that is a problem with the hardware because it could be not 100 % compatible with older aplications because HTC didn't do a verry good job writing the sound driver.
Has anyone experienced this problem , any other ideeas on the problem in hand

this is a common bug for the Sensation. Easiest way to get the volume working again is to call your voicemail.

Are you able to flash back to 1.28.401.1? When Arabic langauge is released maybe we should flash from 1.28.401.1 only.

I am on Leedroid HC 4.3 and I had some problems with internal mic lately. it did not pick up any voice either for voice record/search or viae Bria for VOIP. but after several restart it was starting to work. But suddenly it stoped to work !! I thought it might be software problem since I installed Csipsimple and its codec pack or messed with voice route via Mic or voice call ... setting in Bria. I reinstalled the ROM and even other ROMs like JB 1.6p2 from dexter but no success at all !! it does not pick any voice or even noise.
anybody had the same problem ? It should not be a hardware problem since it was working after several restart .
anybody has any clue ? could be something regard to flyer's headphone jack ?
PS. I also did the factory reset and cash /delvik wipe many times via CWM.
Hi ,I am experiencing a horrible problem with my Lenovo a536...
When I connect handset to my phone it keeps playing well...but once I start using the phone to do stuff like playing and checking Facebook the handset automatically disconnect then connect...it really bothers me how I have to push play button every 3 minutes
I am just asking is this software related problem or hardware related one ?!
I just bought the phone a week ago and I am ready to flash a custom ROM if that is the problem..but if it's a hardware one then tell me so I don't have to go through flashing the ROM for nothing...
Here is more info to help you diagnose the problem :
-when no music is playing ,the left earbud make static-like sound and it gets louder and stronger when I do a heavy activity like loading an app
-Bluetooth handsets works perfectly fine
-i tried different handsets ,some of them lower the amount of disconnects but it still disconnect...
-it never disconnect when my screen is turned off and I am playing music ,but it disconnect a lot while watching a YouTube video or while playing music and using the phone
Please don'tnt suggest me to go to service provider cuz in Egypt service provider never help
I know about VLC player but I want something more effective

So guys please help me out here, I recently update to 12.5 and did not test the microphone below this version, I got the phone and installed the update, I notice that it brigs a lot of bugs but I don't now if the problem I'm facing is a bug, error or malfunction. When I use any app that use the microphone the audio is not recorded properly, nothing it's recorded in the first 4 second after that it happen a BIP followed by another one and then record normally, the first BIP when listened with a headphone it's responsible for the left side and the second for the right(recording with any external microphone works fine), I can't show to you guys that's why I describe. I can't send it back so anyone are having this same problem, know anything... ? Thanks!
