I was going through my wallpapers and I've noticed that one of the wallpapers has been cropped by default and I can't get it to display right.
I've tried to reboot the phone but that didn't help.
Any one knows how to get this wallpaper back to normal size besides factory reset?

Mine is like that too, I wonder if the recent launcher update did that?

I just checked and mine is the same way. It definitely happened after the update because literally the day before I updated I changed my wallpaper and now I can't even adjust it.

Exactly the same here....... HELP

I don't have that issue neither.

Nooppee hahaha, you can probably redownload the stock photo and then just set a wallpaper from your photos
This was an issue a year or so ago also, after one of the Google Services updates.

Hi there XDA.. I recently have been experiencing problems with my Nexus S. The first one has been the G-Mail.... say I get a new Email.. ill pull down my status bar... click on the email, then it'll switch to gmail app. I can view everything in the app... and the four bottom keys (home, back, menu, search) all do their respective jobs.. but there's absolutely no feedback from the screen when you press on Something. Thank God its only that app. But I also experienced a problem when trying to install 3rd party apps. Everything goes throughfine..then it takes me to the screen where it warns you about what permissions you're giving the app.... and whether you want to install it or cancel. Well... everything on this screen is responsive except for the Instal button. I've tried to factory reset twice... and well.... the same problems keep coming up. I was woundering if anyone else had these problems ? Of if there was a solution? Thanks so much!

Are you using the stock kernel?? the Netarchy kernel have a touch tweak, you can use it and check if it fix the problem...
I haven't touched the kernel .... but what would I use to flash a new kernel? Definitely not odin ... lol plus I'm on 2.3.4 soo.. gingerbreak isn't working so no root for me

Are you using any app to dim your screen?
Sent from my Nexus S c",)
Wow actually I'm using screen filter... do you think that's the problem? !?!?!?!?!?
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
That's exactly what it is. I'm using that too that's why I know. Lol. I had the same problem I restored to factory also but then I eventually figured it out that screen filter is the culprit. Haha.
Sent from my Nexus S c",)
That's so stupid lmao. Thanks for the tip! Figure out exactly why it's the culprit? Btw it worked
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
No prob man. Glad I could help.

Screen filter is actually the culprit. It even mentions this issue on its info in the market. Though it also says that with the latest version of gmail the issue is gone.

Does anyone else have this issue? Since my upgrade to gingerbread on a completely stock phone, whenever I exit my camera my screen brightness turns all the way down until I lock and unlock my screen.... Any fix??
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA Premium App
I haven't experienced this yet. Try installing the LG Cam.
Sent from my LG G2X using XDA Premium for Android
It's no fix, but an easy way to figure out a little more would be to use the stock power console widget and set it to it's brightest setting. A before and after might tell you whether the camera is adjusting the current brightness setting or toggling something else.
It is only when auto brightness is on. I'm using launcher pro as well. Can anyone duplicate this?

No. Mine is completely stock Gingerbread V21e, including the stock launcher; I'm using auto-brightness, and I don't have that problem.
Ok what is really weird is I removed the default for launcher pro to try the stock launcher, and it didn't happen. I now tried again with launcher pro and it went away. This has been plaguing me since I upgraded 2 weeks ago, and now just vanished.... Hmmmm....

G2x is still a new phone and they're still rolling out the 2.3.3 GB update (after testing and problems and bricks) I'm sure the bugs will get worked out as the phone ages. But I'm glad to hear the problem fixed itself. If it ever continues, I'd look into replacing the phone just in case its an issue with the phone itself.
The screen auto brightens when you open the camera app and goes back to normal when you close it.

It happened to me before the update.

OP why didnt you just buy an iphone in the first place?
I'm not sure what the second problem you're having is, but if its what I think it is, download quickpic from market and use that to set your wallpapers. Lemme know if you see a difference.

Did you find the thread for the best voodoo settings. Following the settings provided there really helped with the banding on dark colors. Basically changed the contrast.

I looked at that thread but i cannot find a damn kernel that will let me edit all of those settings. all it will let me change is the color profiles. and i really dont want a kernel that uses deep idle.
Deep Idle isn't a problem since you can disable it.
Via script or NSTools from market...
When my nexus boots up, it has a lockscreen. The moment I get a notification (email, voice mail, etc) my lockscreen disappears and never reappears when I turn my screen on until I reset the whole phone. I have screen lock slide selected under the security section. Anyone have ideas?

Did you load a custom ROM onto it?

Nope. It happens on my stock nexus I've noticed in logcat it says "no lock screen! Windowtoken=null"

Seems it was something to do with the Nova launcher beta. I'll email the dev

Did you find a solution to this? I'm not using Nova launcher and having the same. Posted here what I'm experiencing, plus some adb logcat output:

Yup! I found out why it was happening but it wasn't the developers fault Mods can closed/delete this thread!

I posted above in my thread what I was doing wrong: I messed myself up! I have the No Lock app it turns out that it was somehow set so locking was disabled. Re-enabling locking fixed this problem and solved my hours of wasted time.
So I may have just not seen this for the last 3 months or something changed. Not sure if its been mentioned anywhere but does anybody notice anything different?
*my phone is completely stock

You installed a third party launcher.
Looks normal to me. What do you think is wrong?
Looks just like my setting screen..
Instead of making us guess how about you just come out and tell us what you think is different?

Is it the home setting? No one has a clue what you're talking about...if you want help, at least don't make the people trying to help have to think about what you're problem is.

The best way to get help is by saying what the problem is.
Google is also your friend, not just mine and theirs.
I typed "kitkat settings" and this showed up on images.
