I notice from time to time some applications will crash?
Does anyone notice the same problem?

Heck, I have applications on every device crash at least once a day.
I was just playing around with the Note Pro at BestBuy the other day and I crashed the entire system just playing around with the S-Pen. Also while playing around, Chrome crashed. Also Angry Bird's Go. Also S-Notes. I was trying to do this..using the tablet in unexpected or quirky ways (like my son might).
I thought it is only my device. I have been having some apps crashes randomly.

Only application that's crashing consistently for me is WatchOn.
What's crashing for you? Is it something that you can replicate consistently?
Of course it will vary based upon usage. ..

Same here. WatchOn crashed twice today. I thing if it is a bug that will be fix soon.

WatchOn was crashing until an update popped up the other day. Email crashes on me when I try to open an attachment or accept a meeting invite. That is all I have found recently.
Yeah I think at least for WatchOn the difficulty that the application developer has is in trying to aggregate so many different feeds into the application. Really think the stability of that application is dependent upon the location that you're in with regards to what database the app has to pull from to give you your channel lineup from your cable provider.

Bing, News, Amazon Kindle are a few apps which launch for one second and then quit. Even mail and people tiles do not update any longer and live tiles stop working. I have uninstalled these apps and reinstalled them where they begin to work again for a bit and then start playing up again. I have refreshed pc and still same problems. Also in Notifications tab in PC Settings, where it says Show notifications from these apps, there is nothing listed. They were listed after a refresh and no longer there.
I have all the latest updates installed and I think that is where the problem is. I bet one update is causing the problems. I feel like refreshing again and not installing any kb updates or firmware updates. Really really frustrated.
Any ideas? Solutions? Magic words?
Sounds awful. Do you have a stable WiFi connection? I have noticed that the Surface wants good connection or she gets weird. Surfing the web ok? Don't have to tap links multiple times to go anyware?

Have you contacted Microsoft or Amazon about those apps? Maybe it's the HW and you need to exchange? Unless you want to wipe everything as a last resort use alternative apps until that's sorted or the web browser. For news I would use this aggregator called news republic instead of the default app because it's faster at loading up, playing videos, and opening up articles. I don't use Bing, people, mail, or amazon kindle. Don't think there's anything that gets you live tiles n does everything those programs do. So it seems nothing you can really do.
Their is a Microsoft fixit for windows store apps not launching, a simple search will find it. If it tells you that it found corrupted files then a complete reset is in order. Also if you have done any of the tweaks, some of them can cause instability. If you have then retroactively undo the tweaks until you find the cause.
Ok I solved the problem. A simple refresh of the pc was not enough as it does not delete your apps or databases. I there chose to remove everything and reinstall the os which DOES delete the apps and data. This solved the crashing apps and non syncing mail/dead live tiles. I guess due to some corrupt data for the apps.
I am getting several notifications from "s health ecosystem" and I am wondering how to mute them. They are pointless and kind of ugly being that they have a triangle with an exclamation point in the middle of it. If you touch them they do nothing, and the explanation detail is truncated.
Anyone figure out a way to get rid of these? They seem to be triggered by data passing between the watch and the fitness app.
i have the same issue . now that i got the gear 2 neo at times it will get 70+ notifications
very annoying

I believe it's happens depending on your sync of smasung account to health app, i changed mine to sync every 6 houts and haven't gotten it yet. But yesterday non-stop i was like really!? lol
related to launcher?
It seems like these notifications are related to the fact that I'm using the Nova launcher instead of Samsung's, so I'm being warned about some nefarious third-party contact. I can't even get to S Health from Nova, but my Gear Fit seems to be trying to communicate with it. It's a bit if a nuisance that I can't get to S Health, because the Gear Fit Manager doesn't provide nearly as much functionality. I hate all this walled-garden nonsense...
UPDATE:
A footnote on the Samsung App site (use the three blue lines in the upper right or scroll down in the left nav to Device and Content > S Health): "As of April 2014, these S Health features are only available on the Galaxy S5. Soon they will also be available on other devices, via app updates." I wonder how long that will take?

Hmm, I am using Google experience launcher - so maybe it is a launcher issue. Anyone running TouchWiz having this problem.
On the note 3 you have to delete s-health and health services. side loading these cause problems with the fitness with gear app. if these aren't installed the fitness with gear app will sync with your samsung account and work fine. by installing both it causes conflict as both are more or less the same. Not sure why everyone is hell bent on having s-health as fitness with health works great. as for the notifications, that pops up when the app syncs your data to your samsung account. i have mine set at 12 hours. there is no way currently to stop the notifications only changing the time period it syncs. hope this helps.

it won't be there unless you side loaded it
I am having this same exact problem. Running stock touchwiz and not rooted.
Same problem here as well.
Is there a resolution to this issue?
This sucks, these are annoying. I might expect this kind of thing with a hack or custom rom but I am bone stock note 3 and this seems kind of ridiculous. Makes you wonder if anyone at Samsung actually used this thing for a week before releasing it.

Hey everyone,
I've had my Nexus 5 since its initial release on CyanogenMod or various other stable ROMs. Anyways just today I began seeing these small, but obnoxious ads in-app. I don't download random apps, click on random bs links, or visit/browse through shady websites.
The ads are a wide rectangle near the top of the screen. There's a little x at the top left and an 'opt out' on the bottom right. It leads to a web page that essentially wants you to submit your IMEI, device ID and other information...or download/install an apk to "automatically" opt out of the ads.
I installed a few different antivirus/security apps to no avail of isolating any sort of virus/malware. I then ran the optout.apk through said antivirus apps and it came clean. So against my better judgement I installed the app and opted out, then deleted the application as instructed.
The ads still populate over my screen while using most apps - Google Play, Candy Crush, Whatsapp, Facebook, Snapchat, etc.
I've had Android devices dating back to the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant and I have not come across anything like this.
*Anyone else having this issue or know anything about it?*
P.S. While writing this post, I tried to include a screen shot but of course now the ads aren't showing themselves. I'll update the post when it inevitably returns.
Thank you all for your attention.
Sounds dodgy mate, I recommend you clean wipe and flash with no app backups restored.
I too had this. i wiped my phone clean, everything. then installed new rom and started afresh. i tried alsorts too but it became a joke.

My friends this happens having installed some apps related to wallpaper and backgrounds ... you maybe installed "aquarium 3d" or "backgrounds premiumHD" of "Pixign"? still come this way ...
What above comment says is true. There are some apps on the Play Store that enforce random ads around your daily usage.
I would recommend clean flashing, using AdAway(you can find on Google) and lastly, keep a close eye on what happens after each app is installed.

Only type of wallpaper app I had was "Premium Wallpaper HD." Looking at its reviews this app is the cause of these popups! . Obviously got rid of it but I will continue to assess the situation in case there are any other apps causing issues. Thank you!

Turned out "Premium Wallpaper HD" was causing this mayhem. I've deleted all traces of this app and will continue to monitor the situation. I'll clean flash a new ROM over the weekend, just in case. Also installed AdAway for any further issues. Appreciate the help. :good:
Since day one of using the Shield Tablet I have this sort of multitask problem.
When I'm browsing articles using the Feedly app I sometimes open the full article on a Chrome custom tab.
After I spend some time on the Chrome custom tab and want to return to Feedly, Feedly has closed and restart.
This happened many times on the Shield Tablet and not on my previous Nexus 7 2013.
Anyone knows of a fix?
I'm running Tesla ROM with BitO-K10 kernel.
Thanks.
I'm also curious how to prevent the OS from closing certain apps once they are in the background.
Either the OS is killing them or the apps themselves force close after a certain time once in the background.
did anyone find a solution yet? I love the shield but that issue prevents me from using it.
Yeah. It's really annoying. If you switch to answer a message from a buddy and then back into the game, the game starts from the very beginning.
Hi, I am having some problems on my phone. Recently, I saw some duplicates of my files, some were missing and my mobile has become real slow. I see synchronization more often than before this might be the reason my data package gets exhausted fast. It worries me as I don't install new apps just the standard ones. I have doubts that one of my friends did that because they use it occasionally. How do I know if someone is spying and how do I stop them?

Hello, first thing to do is scanning the device with a anti-spyware app
To avoid everyone spying on your phone, you should always keep it off.

I used the first app Anti Spy on Google Play and it found Android Spy app but was asking me for premium version. I found this quick guide on stopping someone from spying on my cell phone in my following list and fortunately found this app in running services. I uninstalled and rebooted the mobile and it's working fine now, came down friends were trying to peek me for prank.
