This modification increments the media volume steps from 15 to 30 so you have more precise control of the media volume levels.
Modification is done in framework.jar.
Click here for more information and instructions if you want to do it by yourself with other number of steps.

If you don't want to fiddle with this, I discovered the problem with too big "steps" in volume can be fixed by adding a replay gain. So that your normal listening volume isn't at step say 2-4 or so but at around 8-12 (there are 16). This way the steps become smaller and it's easier to get the volume just right.
The DSPmanager of CM should be able to do this, or any other EQ.

no.

Confirmed. Doesn't work on Razr.Bootloop.
Though works perfectly on defy+.
Will look into the script and see if I can make it work on Razr too.

Hi,
I think the sourcecode hack can be found here:
https://github.com/one-love-420/and...8b9#diff-2f0fcc03faf02170ab9fb9cbbc75d52dR164
I found that patch by digging through the original threads regarding this hack.
In Quarx git this patch seems not to be included:
https://github.com/Quarx2k/android_...dia/java/android/media/AudioService.java#L215

[/QUOTE] what type of error you got ??

Tried to flash it but it doesn't show up, moved the apk to system but still a no go.
it doesn't work, it says there is a problem with the package, tried flashing it, manual push to system with no luck.
Doesnt work on my device galaxy W with CM9 based 4.0.4ICS....
no use...
Not working on HTC Wildfire, AOKP OS 4.0.4
This looks awesome and I'd love to be able to use it in my rom, but it's not even installing or working when I flash it or manually push it into /system/apps/
"problem parsing package"
^that's all I'm getting
When I checked out the .apk with Root Explorer it showed up with a green Android icon instead of a Camera icon.

Navigation Bar [TWEAK][CM10][Galaxy Ace Plus]

Here's the Navigation Bar that's there on the Nexus devices for your Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus (this might work on all phones. Not sure.).
Prerequisites: CM10 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38371660 OR http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2155529) and a decent file explorer (such as root explorer) that allows you to access /system
Steps:
Step 1: Open Root Explorer
Step 2: Navigate to /system (Remeber to mount as R/W)
Step 3: Open build.prop
Step 4: Add this line of code
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
Click to collapse
Step 5: Save and exit
Step 6: Reboot
If you did the above mentioned steps properly then you should have the navigation bar enabled on your device

Just so you know this isn't my own work. I just thought it would be pretty neat to share it with you guys. Kudos to the guy who put this on the internet.
To remove the navigation bar from your device, delete the zero and replace it with one and then reboot your phone.
Please click the thanks button if I helped you or gave you a cool tweak for your device.

Yeah. This is the first time that I have tried playing around with the build.prop file. The screenshots that I have posted are from my device only. I removed the navigation bar by just deleting the line and rebooting.

[MOD][XPOSED][v2.0]Advanced Reboot Menu TESTER WANTED(reboot to recovery,screeenshot)

I've written an Xposed Mod which adds reboot, soft reboot, reboot to recovery(with special implementation for Xperia devices) and screenshot options to the power menu. Now I'd like to see if the mod also works on the Tablet Z.
The mod is reported working on Xperia Z, ZL, SP, ZQ and Z Ultra. So it should also work on the Tablet Z, which is similar to these devices.
This is what it looks like on Xperia Z. I'd really like to see the appearance on Tablet Z, so please attach a screenshot (vol down + power button) if you can.

Installation:
You will need root and xposed framework for this mod to work!
download and installation of Xposed framework
Download and install the apk
Go to Xposed Installer and enable "Advanced Reboot Menu"
Reboot and you are done! (Sometimes you might need to reboot more than once for all functions to work)
If you use the reboot functions for the first time you may need to grant superuser permission.
Please do help me test the mod and tell me the results. Thanks very much.
Can confirm basic reboot functions work on my 16 Gig WiFi only Tablet Z

will this work with headsets as well? if so, this sounds awesome!
it would be great if the volume part was available on its own, for those of us on custom firmwares that already include an extended power menu.

With the new 4.3 rollout for Note2, Samsung introduced many features and tweaks but they decreased the size of phone icon in Call log list.So I made a MOD by which you can increase its size according to your need.
