Dear Moto X Owners!
There is a Multilanguage pack, which is a flashable zip. Originally the modification is made for the mobilarena.hu Motorola Moto X community, and first contained only the Hungarian language but I decided that is possible to add the majority of languages (37 new language)
+ I use the languages files from the European firmware (thanks sanez), modified the first version of Multilang package and here it is the US_EU Multilang package
The packages works only on 161.44.25.en.US rom.
Flash via custom recovery - with install zip command.
Made for the 161.44.25.ghost_row.Retail.en.US ROM If you flash any other official rom you may have a bootloop! Used with unlocked Bootloader only!
- Extra features (active display, touchless control etc.) remained in original English language.
- Used the Nexus 4 application folders (values, xmls, etc) for the modifications.
- I dont touch the camera and the calendar apps, because it is often updated.
- With the modified application the updates will not work. Here it is the original apps - flash via cwm. - When it roll out a Motorola Moto X firmware update you need to flash the original files, and update it via OTA.

The packages works only on 163.43.3.ghost_row.Retail.en.GB rom.
This rom was in my Moto X when i bought from expansys.

Why not to use all the apps from european firmware? This could let working active screen and touchless control, isn't it?
I know that those apps have limited language translation, but anyway some more than US firmware.
I'm running now on a european firmware and languages and all the apps are fine. I would like anyway to use us_retail firmware and this mod on my US devices.
Here the list of available languages on RETAIL-EU_GHOST_KLA20.16-2.16 firmware. All motorola apps including touch-less control works german and italian too. Don't know if some more... But this should solve problem for updates from play, at least for these languages.
If it works, i would like to make a flashable firmware based on US retail FW for all the europeans that bought their moto x from USA.
here the fw version Blur_Version.161.44.16.ghost_row.Retail.en.EU

Its simple: I dont have the apps from the retail.en.EU, only the Developer Edition rom apps. And adding the Hungarian language was the main reason. Send me the apps and I integrate to this modification.

Here the framework apk included on EU firmware. I didn't send because I thought was not necessary.
My problem with framewark-res.apk is that i don't now exactly how to edit it.
I'm doing this way, using TMO framework:
1st decompiling framework
2nd editing (here i only push raw and values folder with languages to be included; there's some other file to push or edit??).
3rd re-compiling
4th signing
5th zipaligning
None of the framework i built worked. at boot i can see pop up saying android upgrading and after short time, the screen becomes black.
I've tried to search how to fix and i guess the problem is the signature. So i tried to inject signature files took from your framework but din't solve.

Are you use the advanced apktool that i mentioned on the Moto G thread? I think you overcomplicated. If you use the advancedapktool you must copy the necessery systemUI.pk + framework-res.apk to the 1. folder (DB-freak i quess) and after you install the framework-res.apk and everything works properly.

Yes, i'm using advanced apktool and OK, i didn't know that and put framework-res only. But it is right to copy only values folder on decompiled framework? No other editing on it before compile again? And what about signature?

Yes. I decompile add the folders, recompile - if I got error I see the log and repair, modify, delete, etc. and after when the new .apk file is done I copy from the original apk's Androidmanifest.xml and META-INF folder (to tell the truth the program automatice made that, but I dont trust), no need to sign the apps.

I get lucky I have Moto G, and the multilang pack, the method is very similar. In the Hungarian Moto X forum asked me, try to add the hungarian language that I made earlier for the G. They send me the necessery files, and when i done test the modifications. Evreything works fine and than I share.

No, there is not so simple. Every firmware, every framework-res.apk and the apps are unique and different. This is the reason why I post in which firmware do you use the pack. Every firmware needs an other multilingual pack and I dont have time to do that.
Added two XT1052's GB rom to the OP. If I have the official XT1052's retail.en.GB 4.4.3 rom in my Moto X I'll make the new multilang package.

Link: Swype_EN_BG 400x800WVGA2.15.56.14870.apk - 6.36 MB
How I did it:
1. Rename the original Swype400x800WVGA2.15.56.14870.apk to zip and open. Let's call that file 1.
2. Rename the Swype.apk extracted from MTel to zip and open. Let's call that file 2.
3. Copy these files from folder assets\files from 1 to same folder in 2:
Bulgarian-full.htm
Bulgarian-LS-Cyrillic.zkb.le
Bulgarian-PT-Cyrillic.zkb.le
Bulgarian.htm
Bulgarian.zdb.le
Edit-LS-Cyrillic.zkb.le
Edit-PT-Cyrillic.zkb.le
Numbers-LS-Cyrillic.zkb.le
Numbers-PT-Cyrillic.zkb.le
license.dat4. Extract these two files from folder assets\files from 2:
languages.lst
helplanguages.lst5. Edit both files in Notepad - add ",Bulgarian" at the end.
6. Put both files back in 2.
7. Copy from 1 from folder assets\keybords all 10 Bulgarian* files to same folder in 2.
8. Delete the META-INF folder
9. Rename 2 to apk.
10. Sign it as explained here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6635559&postcount=10
Working in HTC Desire. Not tested completely - might have other issues. Known issue: couldn't display Bulgarian help.
Thanks.. hope it works

Both links point to same apk. This apk is based on the latest Swype beta 2.15.56.14870. Note that posted apk is for WVGA resolution 400x800.
It works flawlessly! 10x
PS. A little problem, when i try to change language with Swype button - Force Close appear.
It works perfectly! You, sir, made my day, I can't thank you enough! I use Swype exclusively and until now I had to post and reply on social networks in English for the displeasure of my Bulgarian friends... NO MORE!
Just a note, there's a newer version of Swype available via beta and certain "channels" you might want to update your release. Hopefully you'll keep supporting it in the future!
P.S.: Can you release a version with only English and Bulgarian, to slim the size?

AFAIK, 2.15.56.14870 is the latest official beta. There are other releases that appear online like 2.44*, 2.6* or even 3* but I am not certain they are compatible - I think they are for other devices like Samsung.

Works for me, but is there a chance to BDS (Bulgarian standard) layout, because currently is only phonetic layout.

@luca: ma cosa cambia dal compositore vocale già incluso ad es. nella cyano?

@luca: what does it differ from the voice dialer included in cyanogenmod?
The google one are really creepy (not respond well with italian for example, they are optimized fr english), also they not work with carkit, and this one are OFFLINE
After you install this, is there a menu icon for it or it just improves the functionality of the voice dialer and voice search from Google? Because I couldn't find it in the app drawer...
on what rom are you installing this??
Tested successfully in any rom!

Actually it was there, I just couldn't find it. Since my Milestone is in portuguese it is called "Commandos de voz" (green phone icon). But it is showing up in english. How do I change the language? I've tried going into the settings but there's no option. Shouldn't it match the system language?
probably not, I've ripped it from APAC leak and probably it does not support portoguese "icon"
but the commands are executed well in portuguese?>

And work EXTREMELY well
Ok, I did some investigations and it does support multiple languages, including portuguese from Portugal (pt-pt). It gets the language defined in the system settings but if this is not supported by Voice Command, then it falls back to english.
I've tried to rename the ptpt files to ptbr but it doesn't work, the app FCs. So for portuguese you have to set Pt Pt as the system language.
Luca, where did you get this app from? Is it standard from Motorola sbf at some region? I'll try to find if pt-br is supported and get the TTS files.

Hi there,
Got a Note locally here in Hong Kong and it came preinstalled with ZSKK1. I played around with it a bit and quite liked the DioPen Chinese IME that was built in.
I have since then flashed Sheep ROM, which is considerably smoother. However, I'd like to have the DioPen CIME.
Would it be possible to pull the DioPen apk from system/apps and the .SO file from system/lib from the HK rom and put them in their respective locations in my device? This is how it worked on the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Or is there another way to get it on? Otherwise- any suggestions for handwriting Chinese input?
Thanks!

Download the files fm post one. It should helps you out.
Another alternative that I m using is Go keyboard fm Market. It's a good chinese writing input too.
With Go Keyboard, it is much easier to switch between Chinese and English keyboard (which is very tedious with the stock IMEs). However, I feel that the recognition is not as good. There are several words that I have to draw many times before I can get a hit.
Try TouchPal V5 Input which is free from market, work great and so far I found it is the best for both English and Chinese handwriting input.

Can you post the files? the midnote link is no longer avail. Also, do you know if the SamsungChineseIME.apk file is the same as the one from chainfire's LP1 ics repack? or the LP6 repack?
Go keyboard has been used as a substitute with a custom rom
Its nice

Here you go. By the way, now I updated to alba v3. It works great as well. It's not the same as the one in chainfire's LP1 ics repack or the LP6 repack.

this version is the old one, you need the better newer one.
For those interested in transporting/installing the stock sammy Jelly Bean traditional chinese input method from the note 2, here are the instructions:
1) extract the following files from any Hong Kong rom: (you can get it from sammobile.com)
/system/app/SamsungChineseIME_HKTW_Phone.apk
/system/lib/libjni_secime.so
2) copy the files to their respective locations on your rooted note 2, set permissions rw-r--r--, and reboot
This comes in handy when trying out roms without T-Chinese input
here is a public dropbox link I have included for those who want it (** SLOW...no funds for hosting **)
enjoy
Edit: well it looks like I hit the limit with dropbox and got banned so no more link. if you still want the files PM me and i can email them to you. otherwise just extract them from the roms from sammobile.com
Additionally, here are the files needed for the S III and Note 1 phones:
S3 ICS
/system/app/SamsungChineseIME_HKTW_Phone.apk
/system/lib/libjni_secime.so
/system/lib/libhsvtest.so
/system/lib/libgdhwr2.so
/system/lib/libDioSpeechTTS-jni.so
/system/lib/libDioDict3HangulCore.so
/system/lib/libDioDict3EngineNative.so
Note 1 GB/ICS
GB:
- /system/app/diopenchineseIME.apk
- /system/lib/libdhwrcn.so
- /system/lib/libdwpcn.so
- /system/lib/libhangulcore.so
- /system/lib/libkeyboardcn.so
ICS:
/system/app/SamsungChineseIME.apk
/system/lib/libjni_secime.so
Remember to set permissions after copying the files back to your phone
Thanks man
But just a hint dropbox hasnt proven itself to be very good for xda-hosting. Big download traffic causes Dropbox to ban you
Wait a second i'll make you a dropbox mirror too sp that load is shared 50-50
EDIT: here's the link CHEERS!

Why bother, just go to settings language click on samsung keyboard and just download the input method.

The standard samsungIME included with non chinese roms does not have the T-Chinese and Handwritten chinese input methods. You need to have the samsungChineseIME apk for these languages.
Does it work in Quick Command? I'm on Wanam's rom and flashed his patch and got the same Chinese IME, works everywhere else except in Quick Command, Original keyboard stays there instead of the ChineseIME as in HK ROM.
im on the UK LJ1 rom and its working in Quick Command
i never try to put a file in system folder before.
can someone teach me how to move the file to system/app ? (rooted phone)
i use es explorer . it say . cant be copy..
i try to change system... read. write .execute. .. "permission failed "
make sure your note 2 is rooted. without root you will not be able to make these changes.
here are some links for rooting your phone:

chainfire's root with stock recovery:

drketan's with clear instructions

this is all under the note 2 original android development forum
good luck

make sure to set permissions on both the library file and the apk file.
permissions should be:
/system/app/SamsungChineseIME_HKTW_Phone.apk rw-r--r--
/system/lib/libjni_secime.so rw-r--r--

Cheers mate. Works great now after changing the permissions.
Finally I can flash custom rom. It's works great on Omega ROM, but QuickCommand doesn't support T-Chinese input. Any idea how to add back ZH(HK) in QuickCommand? Tks in advance.

I haven't tried omega rom yet but I'm running the stock uk LJ1 and, using this method, T-Chinese handwriting is working for me in quick command
edit: my mistake. I was reading quick command but thinking multi screen. quick command does not support Chinese input.

Not a really good solution but works for me. Download the HK CSC image and flash via Odin. Then you can switch ZH(HK) in quick command function but the disadvantage is some of the bloatwares will restore from the CSC file. Remember to do a full wipe after flash the CSC image.

basically yes. but you will have to use the chinese IME from an HK GB or ICS rom respective of your rom. Below are the files you will need:
GB:
- /system/app/diopenchineseIME.apk
- /system/lib/libdhwrcn.so
- /system/lib/libdwpcn.so
- /system/lib/libhangulcore.so
- /system/lib/libkeyboardcn.so
ICS:
/system/app/SamsungChineseIME.apk
/system/lib/libjni_secime.so
and remember to set the permissions.
hi guys
Can be used in the S3 ??
Thanks. I am going to try this on my note with Crash Rom.
Edit:
It works in Note 1!
But IMO it's not as good as the original HK IME in Note 1. Can't swap between Handwriting, Chinese Keyboard AND English Keyboard on the go without going into settings.
Do you have the HK IME in latest note 1 Rom?
Sorry, too lazy to download and extract. Just drop me a link in case you have the files at hand.
Anyway thanks!

Just in case anyone wants a completely stock OH1 ROM with no mods other than the UniKernel V8-0001 from @djvoleur, 5 way reboot, and hopefully working hotspot. This is a really heavy debloat. If you like themes and Samsung apps and other thrills do not use this ROM. Make sure you have a backup before flashing. You can install clean and setup like new or restore data if you want.
Will post link as soon as I get someone to test. I like to have someone besides just me test it. If you would like to test this for me please PM me and I will give you the link.
Have testers, will let you know when ready.
OH1 Release 1.0 is out. Still making a few tweaks to try to get more speed out of the ROM. You must already be on Stock OH1 or coming from another OH1 Rom like Wicked or Ramified.
OH1 Release 1.1 is out little bit faster.

OI1 Release 1.0 is out!
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347831082
Remember Must be on OI1 before flashing. Also if you want hotspot to work you must keep your data only wipe cache/dalvik/system.

So not hotspot mod? Just keepi g options open

The intent of this is to end up with a super fast lean ROM. Hotspot might be included as that would not slow anything down. I will keep you updated.
I sent a PM
Nice man, glad to see you release something. Thanks for everything you been doing to help out in all the threads.

Hi! Cannot find any cardio trackers in Health app, maybe i should turn on smth? And it will be great if you will add a russian language support or multilanguage. Thanx anyway.
I took out the Health related stuff. I did not take out the language files. You would just have to edit your build.prop and features.xml.
Here's the OI1 firmware incase anyone needs it.

It has all the apps included in the full rom. I was looking into the full russian language. You would need the language pack for the Russian language. You would need to find that somewhere as it does not come in the US Sprint Rom.

What do you say about multilanguage version of your rom? Just as 925F. It would be great for all of your rom users. Besides i figured with Health app, thanx anyway.
If you find the correct files needed I could put them into the rom for you.
