hello, am new user of mackay kernel for my galaxy SI9000. am with CyanogenMod 10.2 and and changed stock kernel for Mackay's one because my phone gets low wifi signal. but .. that's not better with this kernel.
Could anyone help me to find a solution ?
- is there anyway to enter settings in Mackay's kernel to change things for my phone to get better wifi signal ?
- or is there any other solution u know ? when i was Samsung android 2.3.6, i was ok , wifi signal was good evrywhere.

i just got update notification on my nexus s i9020 for ics
after installing it i found out that wifi doesnt, it doesn't find any wifi network !!
i really don't know anything about android roms and roots and stuff so please help me here!!
i don't mind going back to gingerbread just to get my wifi back cuz i really need it !
i have an infuse 4g(at&) and each time i put a different rom to it like example zeus, aeon or even cyanenmod 7 & 9 i don't get my 4g internet complete likek on the froyo ver. i was asking is there was an patch or something to fix this problem?

do you want all users of world used your cm9 and cm10 or cm 10.1 roms?
wifi not work with all simcard region in world
some user say wifi work and somone say not work
problem in wifi driver and firmware
maybe update it from htc one v fix problem
or back to stock driver and firmware

I have recently installed Bumblebee rom and all its updates till v1.3 of Ankur bata ,, and seriously after installing this rom, my 2G INTERNET SUCKS A LOT,, its doesn't work good, max speed come to only 6 kbps ,, instead of 15 to 20 kbps,, and also in this rom internet data on 2g is not constant ,,, i even tried PIMP my rom internet tweaks but still no response
is there any patch or anything else ,, by which i can make my internet better on this rom like it was on Stock ICS? or Is there any other ROM which is good in way of internet??
what is a Kernal in android device? What does it do and what what kind of a thing is it? Please describe about this thing in descriptively..
And other question is I installed a official Android 4.2.2 Samsung UK OS to my Galaxy S4 mini GT- I9195 Which made by samsung Vietnam. Now problem is I don't have 2G network mode in the OS. Only I have 3G and Auto modes. Can I get 2g mode again by installing a different kernal? Because one of my friends told me that not having 2g problem can be solved by installing a different kernal.. Or do i have to flash a Different OS again? please help me I've Downloaded a kernal already and i just need to know will it be okay by installing a kernal?
A kernel works as a bridge between software and hardware. According to me when you turn on your s4 the capacitive buttons dont turn on but after the end of the bootscreen the buttons turn on this means that the kernel has setup his bridge between your software and hardwar.
Now flashing a custom kernel dont solve network issues. It gives additional functions like overclocking the device speed, decreasing or increasing heap size etc.
I think you should flash a custom rom which supports 2g. There are many roms available for your device.

Thankyou this is very usefull! Btw I've also seen there are so many other custom roms but problem is I don't like them. Once I installed Cynogen but I didn't like it's user interface. I'm looking for the original samsung rom and if you can give me a custom rom which as same as samsung rom I'll appreciate that

Out of these I think Libdroid v2 is more like stock rom.
REMEMBER TO CHECK YOUR MODEL NUMBER. THESE ROMS AREE FOR GT I9500. AN INCORRECT ROM MAY BRICK YOUR DEVICE.
