Hey everyone!
I have android 4.4 (cm11) on my LG Optimus L5
The thing is, I say "OK Google" it recognizes it, I can talk it will recognize what I say but it takes me to Web Search, it won't speak back at me, it doesn't even have the information about what I asked, just the web search.
I wanna say like "What is 30 divided by 2" and it says 15.
Anyone help?

Did you go to the app's settings and configure its voice settings? Try closing the app, re-opening it, adjusting the settings as necessary, and then trying to use the voice commands. Note that Google Now has different versions, can't do everything you want, and it is limited to how it's programmed to respond to voice commands, but a math question should work. Change settings, try rebooting, etc.
Step 1: Go into Settings and confirm that "Speech Output" (2nd item in my Settings menu) is switched "ON".

Hey guys I just got my Atrix2 and I was wondering if anyone was running into this same deal with their phones and possibly knew how to by-pass it.
Basically after I perform a voice search command, usually "Navigate to ________ ) it will find the location no problem and I'm good to go. However when I close the navigator the voice search is there to greet me with a "Did you mean... Navigate to ______ " I clearly found my location and did my duties, its a minor annoyance being greeted with that afterwards. Is there a way to stop this feature? I tried talking with the most enunciated voice to see if maybe it didn't recognize my voice, and it did the same thing. Thanks for any input!

Hey all,
I originally posted this issue via the link below...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1473003
I have not been able to resolve this, despite much effort and trying just about everything to fix it.
I just tried Navigation tonight and encountered this very issue again. Basically, after about 40 seconds navigating to a destination, the phone goes crazy and a female voice starts dictating a bunch of garbage web url's and this continues until you actually end the task/app. I can't figure out why this is happening. The only voice recognition software I have installed is the standard Voice Search app. That works fine. It is when you navigate that this starts happening.
Some of you here and elsewhere stated it can be an issue when installing a new voice recognition tool. However, that doe not apply to me here, as I have not installed any other app specific to this feature.
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks,
Maybe try toggling the "text to speach" voice function to see if that clears it up? Or clearing phone cache & davlick?
Thanks. Will try. Been told to do a bunch of other stuff as well.
BTW, Pico or Samsung for text-to-speech engine? Which one should I use or which is best? I'm assuming Google?
I did recently clear cache and davlick. That didn't seem to fix anything though.
I rooted and debloated my phone of annoying apps a couple months ago. Apparently I went a step too far and uninstalled an app related to voice recognition. (no backup, unfortunately) I thought it was unneeded and just recently realized it crippled my ability to use voice recognition. The stock keyboard shows the mic button, but does nothing when pressed. Google keyboard wont show the mic and in google keyboard settings the "voice input key" option is greyed and says "No voice input methods enabled. Check language and input settings." There are no settings related to it in language and input settings. Other apps don't work or say my phone isn't capable of voice recognition. I did use voice recognition from the stock keyboard when I first had the phone and it worked fine. I can't think of anything else I did to cause this. I updated the UI to the latest but that didn't replace the file. I really want to avoid resetting and flashing roms so I would love to find that app and just install it again. I remember it having the words, voice, speech, or something similar. I need a list of system files so I can compare it to mine and see what I'm missing. I looked around but couldn't manage to do it. If someone can provide a list or point me in the direction of solving this I would really appreciate it. Huawei Ascend P7 - Android 4.4.2 - Emotion UI version 2.3

Hello
I couldn't find a stock firmware for your device on XDA, but you could post your issue in the Ascend P7 Q&A forum where someone would be able to extract the apk and link it to you.
Cheers,
Quasar.
When I use "Hey Google" and speak a command the assistant says it needs a little more information before it can help, then navigates me to a screen to enable permissions. I already agreed to those permissions when I set it up and no matter how many times I agree and complete the Assistant setup it still persists.
The weird part is that if I unlock the phone and use the voice prompt the same thing happens BUT if I use the Google task bar on my home screen the commands all worked!
It's very frustrating when I'm driving and trying to use it to make a call because I keep ending up having to unlock it and perform it manually.
the only way around it is connect a bluetooth then add that bluetooth to trusted device bra
Hi guys,
I have a Galaxy Note10 with stock software (can't load custom roms on this one, unfortunately)
The "Hey, Google" feature seldom works , which is annoying because I use ITTT and a lot of features on there require me to start by saying Hey Google, or otherwise the commands won't work.
I also used to be able to do things like "Hey, google, play the news" and that no longer works from my phone (it does work from a google home mini, though)
It's possible that in the past I may have messed with settings that may have impacted this, I honestly don't know. Is there a way to fully reset it? I've tried redoing the voice recognition to no avail. It's very useful for me as I add calendar entries, tasks, trello entries, do calls, texts, etc all from it so it does impact me when it's not working.
I know if anyone would know what to do, it's XDA! Thanks ahead of time
