I'm using Nexus 5 Stock without Root. I seem so have a problem with my phone as I can't turn off WiFi. Every time I turn WiFi off it automatically turns back on.
I upload a video to youtube to demonstrate.

I think it's telling you what to do on the screen to stop this problem

Even when I turn "Scanning always available" off, the problem still persists.

Hi people,
Recently went to the market, and I tried downloading Green Power. It claimed to be able to work with 2.3.3
However, I don't see it toggling 3G automatically.
Has anyone managed to get it working?

If you are connected to a wireless network the app doesn't use your data connection. Try running the app with your wireless off or turn off your router. You'll see it working then.

Huh I thought the main objective of the app is to turn off the 3G when its not in use?
What's the point of turning off the wifi or router?

I use an app called "Network Switcher" which seems to work well on my Nexus S

I got this yesterday it does switch off the 3g so I think its been working. Although there were a few times when I switch RH screen on and off too quickly that it takes 10 seconds o so before 3g comes back
So far its been good using greenpower can update later

The reason I said to turn off wifi/router was so he could see if the app was turning on/off his 3g connection properly; that being his question

Alright its been a few days and I can safely say that green power is working out awesome for me
If I just leave the phone alone it last a lot longer I'd estimate it to using around 10-20% battery judging by the percentage reported by the phone

Recently, my WiFi has taken a couple or so minutes just to turn on. This leads me to not turning it off ever. Any way to fix this?
I'm on rasbeanjelly, if that helps....

After turning off my wifi, the battery stats show that I still have it running, when in reality it shouldn't. It shows that it's off in the settings menu but the wifi bar in the battery stats says it's on. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Like this for example.

Yep. Introduced in 4.3 WiFi will stay on to help with location. When it's turned "off" it just means it won't connect.
You can turn this feature off in WiFi > advanced > scanning always available.

Is it possible to turn my phone into a repeater? To have a wifi connection and tethering on?

I don't think so. Turning on the wifi hotspot disconnects you from wifi. I'm guessing its a limitation of today's radios.
It sounds like the same piece of hardware can only do one or the other not both.

no, its not possible, your last statement is right.
You can, however, tether internet via Bluetooth while being on WiFi, if the device you want to connect to the phone supports that.

I have a China miracast adapter and it actually works great in dlna mode. When I try and connect in miracast mode. It constantly connects and disconnects. I've tried 20 or so different apps from play store and nothing. Now the kicker is my daughters cheap kocaso tablet with 4.4.2 connects with nothing more that the cast screen button n display settings. Anyone else have issues with this phone connecting? Or suggestions? I'm on xtrasmooth ROM currently fully updated. I have also flashed 5-6 others with no avail.
Thanks
