I wanted to install a custom rom like cyanogenmod in my Xolo A1000. I searched everywhere but not able to find any custom rom for it. Can anyone suggest any good custom rom for this.
And if no such custom rom is available then is there any rom which i can easily port to my device. Any rom for similar device?
Also i wanted to ask if i change my kernel will i be able to install any rom ? confused

So i need help for a rom my android phone is Lg L1 II (E410i) and I wanted to install a theme (ctOS theme) but to install it in the instruction it says that i should have a custom rom like cm paranoid etc etc... the problem is that I can't find any rom for my phone and i heard about rom porting and creating a custom rom for a specific phone...
I want to overclock my device. Its intex aqua y2 pro. I hv searched the whole web but didn't found any custom kernel or rom for my device. And in order to overclock my device i need to flash a custom kernel. Will i be successful if I'll flash a custom rom or kernel made for another device?
Please help me.

I have xperia tipo and earlier I flashed xperia ion rom suddenly Mobile got bricked,this is becoz not every device has same hardware and drivers
The kernel, put very simply, is a bit of software that tells the operating system how to use the hardware. CPU, GPU, RAM, screen, buttons, etc. Thus, kernels are device specific. ROMs are also device specific. NEVER flash a ROM, kernel, or recovery that isn't for your specific device, unless you want a battery powered paperweight.
But i discovered a lollipop custom update for unite 2. I asked there should i flash it in my intex aqua y2 pro. They said yes you can. Also on another website it is written that device name is only for personal preference. But a device with same android version is also compatible. I dont know what to do? Also can i overclock my processor without flashing a custom kernel? My current pre installed kernel version is 3.4
Don't flash anything unless it is specifically for your device. You will get a very expensive paperweight if you just flash random things.
I bought byond mibook mi5 tablet about 2 years ago...now i want to install a custom rom in it...and also root..how can i root my device...and able to install any custom rom........because it gets slower...i want to make it colorful...like a custom rom..

My phone is a Samsung A20s (that's with an s) . It seems that there is no official custom rom for this particular phone.
My question is:
1. Should I root it anyway even if there's no official custom rom for it? What good would it do if it's rooted?
2. Given that it does not have an official custom rom, is it safe to install any rom that is 'compatible'? What are the chances of it having too many bugs if I install a ROM that is not an official custom rom?
