Rooted but what else...? - HTC One SV

Im rooted but can't really find any root specific apps. I mean like changing the boot animation or make my notification bar transparent. Any app recomendations?
Sent from my C525c using xda app-developers app

Boot animation can be changed directly from your phone. Just look around and find one you like, may need adjustment based on resolution, and switch it out. Don't need an app for that lol.
Notification bar can be done within the systemui.apk. Just need to decompile the app so you can make your adjustment. Will be located within res/layout/*
XDA is very resourceful on how to do it

I really think, boost will give you your update!
But honestly, it is mess that they need so long. And if i had such a case only one time, i would never buy a phone from such provider again.

I agree, but their monthly cost for services is really good which is why I am sticking around lol. Starts out at $55 a month. Every six months that you pay on time, it will drop $5. You can get it as low as $40 a month with unlimited services. Not a bad deal lol.

Hey bro, do this....to stop them from throttling you
In a file explorer with su rights(root explorer)
Go to /data/system/throttle
First:
Change the permissions to r-x
Then open the folder and delete the two contents inside.....
Then reboot
Victory....no more throttle!

Ill try that after school. Thanks!

@russellvone I did that but my speeds are still the same.. Im assuming it is because im stuck on 4.1

It's gotta be done before your throttled....do it as soon as your plan re-ups for next month....then it won't throttle after the 2 gig usage
---------- Post added at 03:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:19 PM ----------
Or check and make sure the files are still gone.....make sure it didn't re write the 2 files you deleted

Okay will do. Next month will those 2 files auto pop back there or will they stay gone since I deleted them?

I haven't been throttled in over 3 months.....my plan just restarted, so I'll post some dl speeds after I hit the 2~2.5 gig Mark

I updated the guide,
There are 3 steps, one is to root, 2nd is to remove icon and 3rd is to unroot. Just do the 1st and 2nd part.
I confirm it works. It went away the third time I rebooted. I only did step 2. I was already rooted.
Thanx!

There isn't anything you can do from TB to speed up start up, in fact there is very little you can do from any standpoint. About the only think to can do at all is disable or remove any start screen animations .Beyond that you might try cutting down on the number of active widgets you have on your home screens.

The best thing is to re-download apps, it has the least problems. But at the bottom of the batch options to create a flashable zip. Is faster but can have problems.

[Q] Powersaver quick settings toggle

Now that we can use powersaver by turning off the hide powersave function. Is there someway that we can have a powersave quick settings button to toggle it on and off? It appears that this exists on other versions of the phone, but as the original option was hidden I'm guessing this is too. After looking at the quick settings buttons it appears that the toggles are given a numeric id, ie 0 is user card and 2 is wifi. Does anyone know the id for powersave or if we can even enable this toggle. Thanks very much in advance for any help.

Ummm thanks for the kind words regarding a kernel I make in my free time without owning this device?
No, it's not my kernel making things "crazy." What you're experiencing has to do with "ItsOn" and since I use original N920P source, and ramdisk, it mounts the carrier partition and the system loads itson from there. You can remedy this simply by using a root explorer to navigate to /carrier and remove itson related things.
Please don't blame my kernel and spread rumors if you don't understand what's happening.

I renamed the itson folder and text and calls work. The phone stopped asking to restart.
