Hey guys, I'm running cm7 on my nexus s 4g and sometimes when the screen is off the soft key backlight comes on. Wondering if I'm the only one with this issue.

I think that is the BLN (back light notification)
It's suppose to come on when the screen is off if you have a text message or something like that.
Look for an app on the Market called "BLN" to turn it off

I'm assuming the nexus 5 has one, but I haven't seen what it looks like or where it's located while watching some YouTube hands on videos...
Does anyone know or have a have a pic of what it looks like/where it's located?

use an app like Lightflow to set up different coloured light notifications for different apps.. eg Facebook message will flash blue, sms is white etc.
I've yet to see my LED flash for any reason whatsoever

Blinks every 10 seconds by default, useless. Use lightflow to control it with your apps
Mine only blinks sometimes with texts emails and so on. I know it's 10 second intervals but someone's it did nothing at all

Mine works. Whenever I get a message, email, facebook notification, etc...
Did you enable it? Settings > Display > Pulse Notification Light
The only thing I miss from my S3 is that the Nexus 5 will not light up when plugged into the charger. Red for charging, green for done.
Use Ledblinker app and you can add those functions in as well as choose colours for any app notification

Seconded. Lightflow is a great app. I've had the paid version for years now.
