hi guys,
I use to reflash the factory image on my nexus 5 every here and then. Since a few days I have the problem that every time I do this and the device reboots afterwards I get a boot loop.
Altough I can 'fix' this everytime by booting into stock recovery and doing a factory reset I find it weird because until recently it never did that...
Is there anything I might be doing wrong or that I can do to fix this?
Thanks in advance!

If you don`t use erase and flash userdata.img do so, that may solve the issue.

Did you do something with your phone or did this happen all by itself?
Try flashing STOCK ROM via Odin.
Put your phone in recovery, Try wiping user data but it'll delete you contacts. If nothing happens then reflash.
Hi All,
I am facing the same issue. I upgraded my firmware from stock 2.2 to 2.3.3 GB around 6 months back and it was working fine till 2 days back. Suddenly 2 days back it started restarting itself and it ended in a boot loop. When I tried removing battery and started the phone, it semi resets the phone(like contacts and other settings getting deleted). I tried going to recovery mode and did factory reset/ Wipe cache and restarted my phone, but it was of no use. Today I tried to flash my phone with XXKPQ firware for which I flashed XXKPE first as per the guidelines given in Misledz's post. Flashing was successful, but it again ended in boot loop.
Guys, Please guide me on how to proceed with this. Its really irritating to see my phone in boot loop
Thanks a ton in advance.

I think this is a problem of psuedo reset...flash the stock firmware and take it to the service centre. They will replace the motherboard (you might even get 16GB internal memory )

Damn!! I am having the exact same problem and it also started a few days back!! Plus the phone heats up a lot during this with a massive battery drain.
I have tried hard reset, but no good so far and the phone is completely in stock condition DDKP3. Any Solutions??

It all started by itself...I am running the stock ROM only...I have tried clearing the cache and dalvik too..
Now i have flashed the recent ROM by Aditya (Titanium V3) and its having the same problem..!!
One more thing
One more thing that I have noticed is that whenever I press the home screen button after the phone is idle, the screen lights up and then the phone restarts suddenly resulting into boot loop..!!
The the device came in today and when I turn it on The Google logo comes, turns off and restarts for a boot loop. I even did a full restore using the recovery toolkit like swoggers and even then no luck. I was able to install twrp with no issue. Anyone have the same issue ?
Thanks
Anyone?

I had problems AFTER I installed TWRP, but before that it booted just fine.
My problems started after unlocking the bootloader and installing TWRP. Try wiping as much as possible (except System) with TWRP. I read somewhere it's a problem with the cache partition. I also went into "Mount" in TWRP (I think that's what it's called) and mounted System. I'm telling you all this from memory, not sure exactly how I fixed it, but eventually I was able to turn the phone on.
Hopefully this is the reason you're having problems. It'd be frustrating to have to try and get another one from the Goog.
I've been using my N5 just fine for the past week or so and all of a sudden it seems to be stuck in a bootloop. I try to get into recovery but it just keeps rebooting out of that. I rooted it a few days ago. I don't know why this is happening, I have no custom roms on it. Any ideas?

Seems to be a messed up power button. sometimes it comes on for a minute, but the power-off menu keeps flashing.

Can you get into fastboot mode and then in recovery and data factory reset and wipe the caches? If that doesn`t help reflash the factory image in fastboot. Good luck bro.

That worked. Just a factory reset did it. Guess it wasn't my power button. Whew! I love this phone and nearly had a heart attack.
Hello guys,
I need some help please, because I'm out of ideas.
The issue:
I was using the Cataclysm Rom for months without any problems. Today I restarted my phone (I do this every other day, when it gets a little bit slow) and it stuck in bootloop.
I tried wiping dalvik/cache, doing a factory reset, reflashing Cataclysm, nothing worked. So I decided to go back to stock (using http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/tutorial-how-to-flash-factory-image-t2513701)
and I'm still stuck in a bootloop every time. I can access and use fastboot/stock recovery in the normal way, but it won't boot..
Could someone please suggest what I could do?

You can add [SOLVED] to the thread title. That would help point others that run into your situation to a fix.
Hi guys can some one help me with this silly mistake I did.
The thing is I wanted to flash a recovery image to my huawei mate 7 and it wasn't listed in the twrp list so I flashed just about anything I saw I flashed 4 different recoveries ever since then but nothing would happen then I realised my phone wouldn't restore factory settings and it wouldn't charge when it's off all it would do was show up the battery image and stays like that for a long time.
And next it somehow misbehave and the charging time increased from 3 hours to almost 10 hours please I tried restoring factory settings nothing and when I try booting to recovery it's like it does not exist again
PLEASE CAN SOME ONE HELP ME fix this problem.
Once TWRP got installed a phone's Stock Recovery is no longer available - and this for ever - unless you reflash it.
