The only custom kernel currently available that works reliably with kitkat is Devil Kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46810981&postcount=452
Can someone link me to the rooted stock rom for our Nexus 5 or a rom running the stock kernel kinda like it

I guessing you mean Developer Options....Click the about phone, build number many times...and boom. You got it...assuming thats what you were asking...
