If you have bought one of these tabs and are as unhappy about it as I was then read on.
THESE ARE IN NO WAY 'FLYTOUCH 10' MODELS!
I know what it says in the about page but anyone can spoof a model name in build.prop. These are in fact SuperPad 10s http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/10-RK3188-quad-core-android-4_1622115746.html Look familiar?
TabTronics lie about the spec of these devices (NO GPS and only 1.4ghz NOT 1.6)! I got mine for free because they wanted me to keep my mouth shut about their false advertising. Just shows how dodgy some people can be.
Anyway, I now have a FREE rk3188 tab to play with. First off spec. The parts inside this tab seem to be a mix of rk3066 and rk3188 gear (Notice the Flytouch 9 is the same form factor and an rk3066?).
Ive seen 2 versions of this firmware now. the one it came with (which was a mix of an M8Pro and a TV stick firmware) and the one on their site (the better one).
Ive built a basic version of the firmware on the site and it runs well!
spec:
2Gb Internal storage (More games/apps) at the cost of external storage (12Gb Free)
De-Bloated
De-Odexed
init.d support
CWM Touch Recovery v6.0.3
Cant remember if its fully rooted but I can show you how if it isnt
Antutu score is around 18k depending on what im doing. Boot time seems to get longer and longer, not sure if its the apps im running or an issue with the firmware (more testing needed). I usually get above the Samsung S3 so that keeps me happy
I fully intend to develop this rom and maybe at some point expand it to other platforms. If anyone is interested in helping me with this project then please pm me
Anyway, here is the link, use batchtool and do a restore (may need to format the internal card on first boot), takes about 10 mins to do the initial setup so dont worry, it hasnt stalled
DOWNLOAD
I hope this helps someone somewhere get the best out of this device. Feel free to comment, good or bad

Object with this ROM is speed and extreme performance by 16% boost. Brand New sharper looking graphics but that doesn't overwhelm the tablet. Features a couple of idea's I had but this one P1 and sure to follow other P versions. I wanted to release it as to show you want can be still be done with this tablet. New Enhanced Stylish Keyboard included.
Here are some samples of the new appearance have created some objects are gone and some new mirror finish has appeared.
I've added YouTube for Android OS 1.6, Skype, Android Calculator, a cool Farm game and Virtual Piano Keyboard. HoneyComb features are improved and are included in this package if you want to use them are optional. Everything works in this full version. Your getting the best I offer here and with all the members feedback I've fix a lot of stuff. Note: Nook is no longer available.
Hope you give this ROM MOD a try and let me know what you think of it? But remember this is P1 and with good feedback more improvements can be made on it. It's not for all Builds but for the WMT2.1_105 (aka WMT2.1.1_105). You maybe able to use it on your WMT2.0_105 Build tablet. Other than that your on your own. CM3 has varied max I've seen was 390.

I have been looking for a tablet but i seem to be a bit confused with whats going on with the android software. Every tablet i have looked at doesnt seem to have the traditional android features and settings most have a whole different play store called either getjar or applib etc the salesman said that i needed to get a tablet with honeycomb 3.0 as this still has the back door access for rooting is this true. What decent tablets are about for around £150 doesnt matter if is second hand just looking for something with Bluetooth wifi and usb host which to my knowledge is available with android 3.0. Ive looked at the archos g3 and g9 but they have android 4.0 and root access is blocked also doesnt have half the functions also looked at the viewsonic viewpad 7 but thats stuck on android 2.2
Any suggestions or advice on anything ive mentioned would really be great.

1) PLEASE use punctuation.
2) Almost any name-brand tablet that runs 4.0.x (ICS) or 4.1.x (JB) can be rooted. If it uses "getjar" or something it's running Java but probably not Android, any Android tablet should have "Play Store" which actually has nothing to do with rooting or not.
If you have that much money to spend I suggest you look into getting an HP TouchPad (if you don't need a front facing camera) or an Acer or a transformer.
The archos i looked at in store today said it had android 4 ics but the salesman said it wasnt the proper android software and i would be better off using one with honeycomb 3.2 but i will have a look at the suggested models online now

Hi everyone! it's been awhile
I got my Chuwi VX8 3G for awhile now and I love it (Note: I just upgraded from Windows 8.1 with Bing to Windows 10 Home). Well, let's cut to the chase. See, I just noticed something: When I'm about to use my 3G Cellular connection and the battery goes to 40%, the touch panel wouldn't respond while if it's 50% and above, the touch panel was doing fine (I use 3G connection rarely, for instance, when our Wi-Fi is down). After I noticed it, I rushed to my desktop and log on to the support of Chuwi. Then, I use translate of Google 'cause its in Chinese. There I see the available Chuwi VX8 3G Firmware and the I downloaded it. After that, I boot my 8GB Flash disk to perform the update then it came something like this:

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
After that, my tablet went black-screened and stopped responding even though I followed every procedure. I'm completely confident on what I was doing cause I firmware-update every device I had and it went smoothly. Ironically, not on this device. One thing I noticed after It went black, it's getting warm (I know it's responding blindly). So I press the Power Button for about 20 secs then it stopped getting warm. Maybe obviously it turned off.
Is somebody out there encountered the same problem as mine? If not, I'm considering replacing it with Lenovo Miix 2 8" with 3G. To be honest, I don't want to replace my tablet and say goodbye. I rushed as well on the support of Chuwi with the same problem but no one got the solution. (Awww, man!!!)
Hello,
I'm not finding anything useful for your device, try posting your question in the forum linked below.

The experts there may be able to help. Good luck.
Hello all!
First of all, I need to point out that I am a newbie when it comes to Android modifications, but I work in IT, so I have a good general knowledge on how these things work. I say "general", because obviously, working in IT does not make me a professional in this in any way...far from it. I'm just saying so in case you guys can explain to me, or point me a guide I can follow to achieve what I'd like to do Also, English is not my first language, so I apologize in advance if my text is hard to read..
I ordered a cheap chinese tablet from Aliexpress, but I can't post links...so I can't show you. But it's an Octa Core MT8752, 10 inches (really 9.6 though )
For the price I paid, it really does the job, and I am very satisfied. However, I hate the interface. It's not a big deal, but it's annoying. The icons, for one, are ugly. I own a Nexus 7 (2012 model) and it does not look the same, even if they both run on 5.1 Lollipop. I know it sounds stupid, but it bothers me Plus, everytime it boots, I see the big, ugly, Mediatek logo pop-up before the Android one does.
I'm well aware it shouldn't really matter, but I'd like to change that. Is there a way I can flash this tablet with another rom? I was already successful rooting it with KingRoot. I was about to go on and see how to make a backup with MTK Android Tools.
All that rambling to say I'd like to change the look and feel of the tablet and get rid of some junk applications that came already installed on the tablet. Some of these applications were installed by me.

}
The specs are as follows:
Also, it bothers me that it seems like the disk space was split in two partitions. Can I change this?
Now, I searched for a while, and I've come across what I believe may be the factory file for flashing, but I am really unsure...I wonder if these files will come with the same icons built in.
Does anyone have any experience with said tablet? I would just like to know what I can do to flash it with another rom, without screwing anything up. I'm really new at this, and I'm not even sure which guide I should follow.
Thank you for your time
Hello. I have my old tablet based on rk3188t with 1GB RAM and android 4.4. The model is WM-BR8150.
It's made for the education so it is really slow.
this can't even run the educational app properly. So im trying to upgrade the android version and i think it would perform much better than before.
But i couldn't find any firmwares for this model.

SO my questions are:
1. Is it possible to upgrade the android version in this tablet?
2. Will it become more faster than before?
3. If avobe questions are positive, what are the procedures to upgrade?

IMO how fast an Android device runs basically isn't related to Android version in use, but mainly depends on its hardware components like CPU/GPU, RAM & monitor, and, not to forget, utilization of device's internal storage medium.
Also, Android can get speed up if it gets de-googled.

Thanks for the replay. I just rooted this tablet and installed some apps to increase the performance like setcpu.
But it is still slow. I cant degoogle it since im using few google apps too.. Also i have some few apps to run in this tablet but because of old android version, i cannot install those apps. It would be great if i can upgrade to androd 5 or 6.
Thanks.
I'm pretty sure upgrading Android will not speed up this tabet. But of course you can do so if you find the needed suitable softwares as these are: Custom Recovery and Custom ROM.
