note 10.1 with exfat in custom roms? - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Hi guys ^^
so, I have the wifi note 10.1.
In run for a few months android revolution HD and I'm pretty pleased with it!
Now, with samsung finally updating this tablet with the latest android I was happy.
Finally ART and msaa 4x interrests me.
But seeing how samsung is going with the release we might get android 4.4.2 in 2015 maybe?
That's why I'd like to change for a rom that comes with 4.3 or 4.4 but I've seen that most custom roms don't support exfat format is that right?
I use Exfat for my external SD as I watch a lot on movies on hd and files are usually bigger than 4gb so I need Exfat or NTFS.
FAT 32 is useless for me...
So are there any good roms, stable and all that supports exfat or ntfs???
thanks ^^

exFAT support is kernel related not ROM.
if the ROM is built with kernel that support exFAT then you have the capability.
I'm using ARHD 11.1 & it already supported exFAT
Boeflla kernell 2.2 also support exFAT

A rom with native otg and ntfs support on the nexus 7
I was using paranoid android for a long time but now i have to give away m nexus 7 to my dad and he needs to connect ntfs hard drives all the time so what is the best kernel + rom to do this
[Q] Kernel 4.3 with swap on function
I am looking for custom kernel 4.3 with swap on function for my butterfly. Now i am using Kairi kernel 4.3 Production build 10 which is good but i would like to try to swap on since it doesn't supported.
[Q] Latest ROMs & Kernels
Only found v4.4.4 Beanstalk and Carbon ROMs, but no recent kernels (up to GB). What Kernels or ROMs are available these days for the Infuse 4G? I know it's old, but runs KitKat fine. Current kernel doesn't support Swap2Wake or Tap2Wake, nor dock usb audio. Would like to get TWRP, or at least CWM with touch if available (currently using CWM Recovery 6.0.5.0). BFG I/O scheduler seems to work nicely.

There is not much development for the Infuse because not many people still use it as a daily driver.
Android Oreo Go Edition
I hope to be in the right section ... If it were not so I apologize in advance .... I wanted to ask if you think this version of Android could be a starting point for any clean and performing roms
Hello sir, I would like to experiment with the android Oreo go edition on my old android device (Quad core, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage, 32GB Max support of external MicroSD card with KitKat). Would need help regarding flashing and porting new android Oreo go edition and also where do we get started, where can I find the ROM for android Oreo go edition?
Fastest android version
Based on your personal experience, what is the fastest android version for this tablet? 4.4.4, 6, 7 or other?

Click to collapse try, LineageOS 13 (Android 6.0.1) https://download.lineageos.org/espressowifi (Wifi only) https://download.lineageos.org/espresso3g (if your tablet uses a sim card and has a phone app, use this link)
Also try Slimkat (4.4.4) by Andi
...and may be useful (to have much speed) flashing a modded kernel? Thanks in advance

I had the last CM13 build on my Tab 2 (7") and it worked perfectly nice and smoothly. LineageOS 14.1 was terribly slow, barely usable in my opinion. Besides, it uses up much more of the internal storage than CM 13. Then I flashed LineageOS 13 and it works as nicely as CM13. So, unless one really needs any of the Android 7.1 features, I would recommend LOS 13 to Tab 2 users. (Android 4.4.4 I didn't try.)
