Hi all,
I've had a bit of a read about on the forum but can't find a definitive answer which assures me enough to go ahead.
I've got a samsung galaxy s3 i9300 which was locked to o2 and currently on 4.1.2
I purchased an unlock code which has unlocked the phone successfully.
The phone is branded o2 which I am wanting to de-brand, having a read around it seems i need to flash the stock 4.3 BTU rom which I have downloaded from sammobile.
Question is, if i flash the BTU rom to the phone, will it cancel my previous unlock?
Any help or confirmation would be greatly appreciated, thankyou
Andy

Hey,
I have an important question.
In 2 days i will get a Samsung Galaxy Ace with Android Froyo on it.
The phone is unlocked!
I wish to know, if i update it to Android Gingerbread, through Kies from the Samsung Website, is there a chance that the phones "unlocked" status resets? And it will be locked again?
Sorry, i'm new to Android.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Szili.

What do you mean by "Unlocked" status after upgrading? Are you buying the phone on a carrier or not? Explain yourself!
If the phone was locked to a carrier and has been unlocked, upgrading its firmware will not restore the carrier lock.
Hi guys! Just bought a Galaxy Ace 4 LTE/Ace Style (sm-g357fz) which is carrier locked to Orange Romania, anyone got an idea how to unlock it whithout an unlock code? Tried flashing an unbranded stock ROM through ODIN but not a single version other than the one the phone came with will flash.
Did you solve it?
Hey!
Have same phone and i am having the same problem. If you have any update pls pm or reply.
Thanks
Hi I am new to the site and am hoping to get some help. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 T999 from T-Mobile which has been rooted with Liquid Smooth 3.0. I have AT&TT and have been trying for over 3 days to unlock this phone with no luck. I even got a network unlock code from T-Mobile but it won't work. I was told it was because it is already rooted. So is there a way to unlock my GS3 without removing the root and returning to stock to unlock then having to reroot it?? Thanks in advance!

Hello,
I live in France and I just bought from USA this phone : T-mobile - Galaxy S7 - SM-G930T- Android 6.0.1 - Baseband G930TUVU4APK1, to use with my european sim card.
Sorry many questions, I'm lost completely, between all the forums and different answers.
It seems even if I buy an unlock code it will not work, with T-mobile the only way to unlock is from the T-mobile device unlock app?
Do you think I can root it or flash a rom to remove all the T-mobile things and maybe I could unlock with a code?
If yes I can only install the roms of Sm-g930T I can find on sammobile website? (looks like only Tmobile firemware) or others for galaxy s7
Or what could I do to unlock my phone?
I'm looking on the forums and I tried to root it but didn't work with CFroot.
It seems more complicated with my usa version because from what I understand the bootloader is locked
Thanks a lot

If you install G930U firmware from sammobile it will still lock the SIM. I have done this with my G930T phone. T-Mobile got the patent of their SIM locking technology which they introduce in Qualcomm phone S7, S7E, S8 & S8+. It is completely different method from other carriers' locking method. Till now there is not unlocking method other than server unlock which cost you $150.
I was afraid about the server unlock, so expensive..
I was hoping if I put a firmware with nothing about Tmobile, and then maybe it will ask for a normal unlock code like on other phones and that is like 20or30$.
Thanks for your reply
