Hi Guys
I'm new here, you can see this by my posts ..
I know that XDA forums are full with the most quality developers around the world, so thats the reason why I came here.
Since 3 years, I've been working on a project, We (me and my partner) are closer then ever for finishing the project.
the Project will be introduced at the Official Intel competition at the 20.1.2015. till then we must have a finished product.
I've been working on app but to be honest, I'm not an application developer. My application is pretty easy, truly easy concept.
the application is only an input to the server where we work the data out.
The project called "Keren Project" we call it the next generation of smart home technology's.
If this is the wrong section, I'm truly sorry
for people who are interested, more information will be given at private messages
Best regards,
Keren's Team.

I'm new as well This sounds like an interesting project. How will you pay the developer(s) who help you develop the application?

Hi mark
I'm not paying the developers at that moment.
Thats a huge project, and we need a "static" android developer, if someone accepts the offer, he will join the team
for now we are 2 Me (Roni, I'm the founder) and Emil (Co-Founder)
My job is to handle the server side and write python scripts for "Keren" as well as building the main Socket server
Emil's job is to work on the administration panel of Keren, making API's for easy access and so on.
The project has 3 parts ANDROID > SOCKET (python) > WEB
We missing the Android Part, which we need desperately.
I'm sure that its one time offer, and if someone would like to accept it, he will become an official member of our team,
we are planning to get the product done till 20.1.2015 for sale.
Bump, nobody? we really need a developer and anyone who would like to give it a shoot, will benefit from one-of-a-kind project, we assure that.

Hey guys,
I have to admit that without all the custom ROMs that you offer here for free I would have sold my Touch HD long long time ago. I see this website as big driver for HTC/ MS to sell their products. (Maybe some people of HTC/MS dont) Once again thanks for your great work and time that your spending on this webside.
Currently I am writing my bachelor thesis about "Social Commerce". One point is about "the lack of firms understanding that collective intelligence and wisdom of crowds is an opportunity rather than a threat".
To show practical examples I also chose this webside. I appreciate if you could help me with some open questions that I have:
1. From which source does the rom cookers get all their ROMs/ builts?
2. Does this site has any special contacts to HTC/ Microsoft?
3. Do you get support in any-form (money, software, acknowledgement) from htc/ ms?
4. Do you send knowledge in any way back to help MS or HTC to improve their devices/ software?
4. What was the purpose for the operators of this side to built up a webside that is mostly concerned about HTC-Devices?
5. In this threat their is a dispute between ms and xda-developers. Does ms attitude have changed, yet? How did the story ended http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?threadid=294142
Thanks in advance for your answers. This forum and some others changed my life and engaged me to buy products. I hope I can contribute with my thesis to support forums like this and to show firms that community like this are a big opportunity rather than a threat
A great way to say thanks to all free stuff you grab here is to make a donation to XDA!!
You are right why not. 10€ for all the fun is nothing.
Great to see your star!!
Hi nobody has any information to me? Or did I post in the wrong section? thanks
A community is comprised of social participants, participants who work to build an environment that is beneficial to its participants. The phenomenon would very likely take place regardless of specific participants; only the quality of the results benefiting all those that participate would decline.
Hello XDA Devs,
I am a Purdue University Undergrad studying in the College of Technology and also attaining my Certificate in Entrepreneurship. Currently we are working on a business plan to innovate a way large businesses collect feedback from customers. We have small team of 4 people currently working on business details but are looking for a developer to code our app.
Our business is ready to get itself in the game and we want to present to investors. With an app ready to demonstrate we would be willing to use the investments to pay for the code work.
If you have further questions or would like to apply please reply reply to this thread or PM me.
Best Regards,
Max Weisberger
Hi!,
Im am doing something similar, a master in global entrepreneurship. And I am also developing a project of an app.
I just wanted to wish you good luck. I know its hard sometimes but I guess its a really good business for a start up right now.
Hi there!
I haven't been online too much with this account... But Im back up, ready to work.
Today I got a message from OnePlus forum member kutzki saying he had read my thread about the creation of a smartwatch. He said he had some ideas that could help me, and we started talking. After a long chat, we decided to start thinking, creating, designing, and eventually producing our own smartwatch! Doesn't that sound great?
We were planning some stuff and got to the conclusion that we needed a team to help us here.
We aren't just kidding, we want to take this to the next level. The goal is to turn this idea, into a real project, and with the help of some Kickstarter supporters, turn this into a product.
The main idea is to create a SmartWatch that stands out. We want our device to have all those features users want, but big companies don't offer in their watches! We want to make something truly revolutionary.
To achieve this goal, we first need a team, we need people with determined skills, to help us with this amazing project!
We are looking for the following fields:
Motherboard designer (Skills to design a whole motherboard for a SmartWatch, and visual design)
Hardware specialist (Experts in hardware design, implementation, and functionality) (Smartwatch hardware)
Graphic designers (Skills and creativity to sketch/draw/design a Smartwatch)
Developers (iOS, Android, Windows Phone applications)
Marketing specialist (Expert in marketing, advertising and communications)
If you are interested in any of this position, don´t hesitate to apply for it by filling in this form:
http://goo.gl/forms/8WJZNQfC4N
I hope you all have a good December,
JuanL and Kutzki
P.S. This will not be a paid job unless we get a product and start production. At that point everyone should recieve their salary.
Still no one?
Isn't anyone interested in this?
There are already 7 of us, and we are ready to work.
Come on guys!
Anyone? Come on guys! Aren't there any hardware specialists?
Isnt there soneone willing to joins us?
Hi guys,
I love wearable and this year is going to be a very important one we have all waited for and a big opportunity to start new things. As a short background, I have been working with gestures for some time on a project called GestureKit and a company I founded RoamTouch. We have been able to set a standard for recording online and distributing to different platforms and we want to jump into a more useful input such and input type and wearable specifically on watches.
Its solid true that voice and button touch are going to govern the watch input paradigm, however I believe there will be a big space for gestures for a series of reasons. Screen size is tiny. You can perform them on the watch without having to look at it, making the interaction more productive. Because of the proximity of the hand (different to glass that was a year light distant from the hand) its a very short and efficient movement from one hand to the other arm wrist. Besides, and compared with voice, speaking is not always suitable and often times what we do remains private.
Since I believe that gestures can be an effective way for productivity therefore I am raising funds for extending our API to wearable and for creating a keyboard based on gestures for phones and watches. I am looking forward to establish a small but focused community that can take the subject seriously and provide solutions for real problems arising on wearable that are going to be big.
Whoever shares this vision and would like to participate and create a community for gesture interaction with wearable please let me know. I am sure there are millions of ideas and things we can work out together. I am sure your opinion and ideas is very important to figure out how to develop for the next paradigm.
Thanks very much for reading.

Hi Pred,
Great to hear from you :good:
The purpose of this call is to hopefully conform a a group of people and enthusiasts of wearable technology and devices (starting with watches) that can ultimately grouw up to a consistent team leading a space within the community.
So far we are two in the team, I am glad to introduce marianop89 already known in the wearable community being pioneer on apps development for watches.
Our next goal is to port gestureKit Android API to Wear and post the research and next goals on a threat to share with the community. Besides, and based on our post, I am going to send a pertinent mail to moderators and forum owners to request the opening a new forum for gestures on wearable. We can lead and guide the community to a new interaction.
Hope more friends join the initiative.
Thanks lot!
Jose
I’m looking for an Android programmer to help with crafting & tuning our UI / UX and writing client code to test out our authentication and application specific API’s (JSON/REST), that are currently in development. Java proficiency and a willingness to learn Xamarin.
Q1. What’s a reasonable $$/hr. should I offer?
Q2. Is it reasonable to think I can find someone with these skills that’s comfortable to work with loose specifications and contribute their own creativity, or will most people want a formal detailed specification?
Q3. If we work well together I’d like to ask them to join our start-up where their contributions to the company would be treated as capital in exchange for ownership (stock). Can I expect that talent like I’m looking for will generally want to run their own show?
Q4. Where can I find this person?
Thanks !!
Re:
It depends on deadline time, complexity of your application and experience of the developer. Your question does not explain about any of those specifications.
Fair Enough

Thanks for the response GenieKnudson. In a perfect world I'd like the work to start right away. Initial work is on the user interface / experience. Next would be code to exercise & test the API's we're currently working on in Microsoft Azure, (REST/JSON API's for authentication, permissions, picture processing and proprietary). Then work on the application itself. So I could pay a code monkey to do what I say then go away, but the nature of the work requires collaboration and creative input. Instead of a mercenary I'd like to find someone interested in joining the team. As for experience I'd trade years of coding experience for good knowledge of contemporary tools, architectures & design.
Our startup is too young to afford a full time employee, but we have money to pay for services, and the potential of employment and partial ownership in the business. I’m very confident in our business prospects as my partners and I are seasoned, each with a long track record of success and reward.
As I read what I’ve written I think we need to find someone physically local to me or one of our developers.
