Hey guys,
Those who want to decrease their dpi of a110q have come to the right place.
First of all u need is (obviously) a rooted devices.
So all u need now is Root Explorer.
In Root Explorer go to system>build.prop>long press to open menu select text editor.
Here you go now you just need to add these lines at the end of ur build.prop.
ro.sf.lcd_density=###. Now instead of ### u need to insert what dpi u want. For example if u want 160 then u need to insert ro.sf.lcd_density=160.
Thats it now all u need is to just reboot ur device once and ull get ur device a new look .

Dude listen... when i change the dpi... i see a thin line on top of every app.. cant really explain it but it's like in the appdrawer i can se a thin line of the wallpaper (my app drawer is black) is there anyway that the apps resize too?

Hey bro, I don't think that u should NOT even try to Change the DPI of ur phn....Because I tried to change it and as a result, my phone got stuck in a BOOTLOOP. Thats why, I suggest people to first make CWM Backup nd then try to change DPI.

You can use " App setting " module of xposed installer to resize any particular app without decreasing your system dpi..

i know that... but when i put navbars.. my lockscreen widgets get buggy and i need to change dpi

that mod is working fine on my sgn n7000 , if u read the entire thread u will see my posts.

i was requested to do a small tutorial about a mod that is made for n7100 and is available here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2046086
i managed to make this work on my sgn n7000, i will explain what i did to make it work , but this doesn't mean it will work for everyone.
phone : samsung galaxy note n7000
ROM : [ROM][JB][4.1.2] XXLT4 240 Dpi v2.0 Multi-lang, Aroma Installer available here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2208589
as always do a backup before flashing anything.
1 wipe , wipe, wipe....system, data, preload, cache, dalwik
2 i installed the above mentioned ROM
3 before booting the phone for the first time i installed the above mentioned MOD
4 reboot
after first boot the MOD didn't work, then i realised that the ROM is full 240 DPI, but the MOD is for n7100 wich has some other DPI.
this ROM has xposed installer builtin and a module called App Settings v 0.3(this module is for xposed installer)
5 open xposed instller then press install/update button, wait untill it's done, then reboot the phone
6 open xposed installer again then press the Modules button then enable app settings v 0.3 (tik the chekbox)
7 click app settings v 0.3 scroll down and find the phone app, tap on it,
8 after tapping it , in the upper part u will see a slider, slide it to the right, now u can change the DPI of the phone app to 320.
9 hit save in the upper right corner then reboot the phone.
after doing this i changed the pics to all of my contact...that's all
hopefully i didn't forgot anything. hope this helps. if u have any questions fell free to ask.

I don't think it's ROM dependent, but i can say that this mod is not working on non TW roms .
I don't know how to help you from now on exceptif you install that specific rom which i can tell you it's awesome.
and to solve your acore problem search xda forum there are at least 2 threads about acore, the fix is really easy.

guyz i messed up wid my build.prop file and now i cannot install or update apps from the market
it says " Your device isn't compatible with this version "
it does not even allow me to update my inbuilt gmail and maps application

It should be on xda...or ur manufacturer should have provided the link to original fw...
By the way whats wrong with build.prop...??
U can edit it again...try build.prop editor... U can find it on playstore...
It will be easy cuz it tells u meaning of each line...and u can easily set the values...
Next time if u wana mess with build.prop file then make a backup of original build.prop file...
If incase anything goes wrong u can can easily restore it using root explorer..

I ll suggest you to install a new rom...
Cyanogen mod will be better..
Or download the cyanogen mode and extract the build.prop file and campare the values with current file...
Or try changing model number manufacturer name....
Have u messed up with dpi value in build.prop??

Hi,
Density Changer is used to change the screen resolution in your phone. You can change the size of icons dialer etc... Please see this post for how to change the resolution.
