Hi, me too, need update for german retail version as a flashable zip, can't flash update by normal way, identified device as 1034 instead of 1032
A system dump from device would be also great, i lost my IMEI=0, mybe that helps me out!
cheers,
JX

It´s the other way around. You need stock recovery and no root to be able to install it. Before you restore your stock ROM be so kind and extract and post the OTA zip here. (Actually not here, this is wrong forum for a post like that).
Edit: it is possible to install OTA with Philz and root. (tested that myself)
Please post these questions in the general or the Q/A section.

Hi,
already tried this. Won't work, a system dump could be the best and maybe helps me out to restore my IMEI back. IMEI=0, no chance after restoring a stock rom etc..., do you know a away out to rewrite my imei?
please, help me. i don't want alert of upgrade, is there a way for hide upgrade notify? how? please help... this presents every 5 minutes!
Same question! I have a rooted and unlocked Moto G (but still the stock rom). I have a message that an OTA is ready to download. Already did the download and like they said here above, it does not install because there is an alternative recovery installed.
How can you hide the message that there is an OTA ready to download?

my wild guess is you're using google translate,i'm having hard time to understand :silly:
but refer to your 1st post, the thing is,you can't ota upgrade with any mod done to your device, you must use stock recovery and stay unroot. so,yes, you may receive it,but it won't pass flashing in recovery.

i don't know which one but,you can try motorola ota,or motorola service, make sure you copy or backup them first,in case something goes wrong.
titanium should work,or root apps remover,or if you wanna remove manually, file explorer should also work.

Hello Nexus friends!
Hope someone can help me:
Is there a way to flash my nexus 5 back to stock and unroot without USB?
I think my USB port is dead, it doesnt load and I m not able to connect it with any computer. I wiped it but nothing changed.
History:
I flashed and rooted my phone with Nexus Root Toolkit from stock (4.4.2 (KOT49H) i think) now after OTA updates its runnig 4.4.4 (KTU84P).
plz help!
regards
Mike
You could flash a stock recovery flashable ROM....would need root for that obviously.
As far as flashing stock recovery....not sure about that one. Maybe flashify can help? Never used it myself. You need a flashable stock recovery tho.
Also, the boot loader will be unlocked still, so that's kind of a dead giveaway. Nothing you can do about that without connecting to a computer for fastboot.
Need to know the full situation.
If you've lost root you NEED a custom recovery. If you have stock recovery, you NEED root.
OTA removes root and custom recovery.
Please give situation report.

I can walk you through it but I need to know for definite your current situation.
I need you to have either root, or a custom recovery.
To check custom recovery, hold vol down + power to boot to bootloader. Then use Volume up / down to navigate to "recovery" and press power to select. I want to see the recovery screen. Usually OTA will remove root and custom recovery.
Also, use root checker to check if you have root - I expect you will not have it.
First install SuperSU
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.supersu
Then install root checker

OK This means you have full stock rom and stock recovery. Only thing you have that you might not want is an unlocked bootloader, which you need root to fix. Do you want me to "Try" to and help you do tht or are you just going to leave it?
Are you sending it to google or LG?

Google will not reject warranty of hardware failure due to unlocked bootloader. LG might. If you bought it from google, it usuall goes to google, but not sure if changign country changes things. Best to ask google.
Only chance to lock bootloader is to get root by using towelroot. It may or may not work.
https://towelroot.com/tr.apk
Run the app. It is supposed to reboot but sometimes it does not. If it does not, reboot yourself. Then ipen SuperSU and check if it has root.
If it does have root, install bootunlocker https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.segv11.bootunlocker&hl=en - and reset tamper flag and lock bootloader. Then unroot using SuperSU.
If towelroot doesnt give you root, you cannot lock bootloader

Hi all,
I got the message about upgrading the OS to 5.0.
When I try to upgrade, It starts to download a file, and the the device is restarted.
Then, instead of automatically begin the installation, I get some menu (construced of several rectangle buttons).
One of them is "Install".
When I press it, it asks me to find a zip file.
What file and where is it???
Thanks, Tal.

I know where you are. Thats the bootloader.
Thats when you power on holding the volume down button and power at the same time.
Use the volume buttons until the arrow says "recovery" then hit power. It should boot into whatever recovery you have.
Prob TWRP

Where did the ota download to do you know? If not then try to find the ota zip on these XDA forums. Then when you are at twrp main screen choose install zip, browse to where you downloaded the ota zip on your phone (check downloads folder) then choose it and swipe to install. Once that is done (it could take some time, be patient) then choose wipe cache or something I can't remember exactly what it says, after that's done reboot using the button on the screen. Don't manually reboot. You should be upgraded to lollipop now

I searched and did not find any relevant zip file. I even did not find ny file which is above 400M, as I remember that was the size of the download...
Maybe the OTA process do not download a zip file, but another type of a file??
Check the /cache folder using es file explorer not your computer
You might need root
Or just download the newest ota zip it's probably available in a thread here on XDA search for it

How do you not know this to start?
Follow this post it's the easiest guide I found.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2513701
It's gonna wipe your phone clean so back up pics, files, music, etc first. If you want to root after then there's a guide on that to in XDA.
Don't use any toolkits etc that is probably how you ended up with twrp recovery and didn't even know it lol learn the proper commands and use only those commands

This is the first of many guides I will be posting and keeping up with.
It will be utilized for Q&A FAQ and HOW TO so we can keep the development thread for development purposes.
Post your questions and Myself or other knowledgeable users of Sac23 ROMS will answer as quickly as possible.
So ......
For starters HOW TO INSTALL a ROM by SAC23
PRE REQUISITE ... YOU MUST BE ON THE 5.0 BOOTLOADER TO RUN THIS ROM
If you need to flash back to a previous stock bootloader
Mini-bootloaders - TWRP or Philz recovery already embedded:
Firmware_Only_Odin_Flashable_ Images_For_4.4.. And_5.0_Roms
Full bootloaders:
4.4.4 - G900PVPU1ANK4_G900PSPT1ANK4_SPR.zip
4.4.2 - [LINK][ROM][ODIN][TAR]SM-G900P NE5 (NE5 Modem/Kernel/ROM - Stock)
Installing with TWRP (View All Supported Devices>>> Find TWRP for your device):
Philz can be used and I will post instructions for it later
This assumes that you ALREADY have TWRP Recovery installed on your phone and you know how to use it.
TWRP Recovery by Ktoonsez: 01.13.2015: http://goo.gl/LgBsuk
Download the ROM of choice...move it onto the EXT SD CARD.
VERY IMPORTANT>>> Move all music, pics, important data from internal storage to the ext SD card and/or to your pc, etc. because during this process, the internal will be completely erased.
Recommended Method to Flash SACS Custom ROMS using TWRP
Boot into TWRP
Select Wipe > Advanced Wipe
Select Dalvik, System, Data, Internal Storage, and Cache. Swipe to Wipe (do this THREE TIMES)
Go back to previous Advanced Wipe screen.
Select Format Data, Type YES, Press GO. (do this THREE TIMES)
Go back to previous Advanced Wipe screen.
Swipe to Factory Reset. (do this THREE TIMES)
Go back to MAIN menu and STOP HERE !!!!! READ NEXT STEP CAREFULLY....
[*]Select REBOOT INTO RECOVERY mode and Swipe to Install Super User. DO NOT REBOOT INTO SYSTEM!
[*]AFTER THE PHONE REBOOTS INTO RECOVERY:
NOW proceed with installing The ROM
Select Install Zip, Drill down to Sac23's Rom you want to flash, and Swipe to install.
Follow on screen instructions (if there are any).
When prompted, REBOOT SYSTEM.
THE FIRST BOOT WILL TAKE A MINIMUM OF 20 MINUTES..... SOME DEVICES EVEN LONGER...
.
.
HAVE PATIENTS
When the Home Screen appears and it is obvious that the install has completed, allow the phone to settle for another 10 minutes BEFORE you begin setting up your personal preferences and accounts.
If everything seems normal, set your phone up and profit.
After setting up your personal info and you are now ready, the first thing you should always do after flashing any ROM is to go to settings, system updates, and refresh/update your PRL & PROFILE then reboot the phone. Second thing is go to settings, more networks, mobile networks, network mode, and select LTE/CDMA.

I tried OTA updating today to YOG4PASN0 and it downloaded/installed the upgrade. It rebooted into TWRP recovery. I rebooted it again and it was still on the old version of YNG1TAS2I3, still notifying me of YOG4PASN0 being available.
If you are on TWRP its not possible to do the incremental update, as it requires original recovery. Just download the full rom and flash it on TWRP as normal, it will do.

If I was able to do it from KitKat to Lollipop, I doubt I wont be able to do it from Lollipop to a newer version of Lollipop.

The fact that you were able to go from KitKat to Lollipop using TWRP is irrelevant, you're no longer able to use TWRP for incremental OTA's, it's been like that for a little while now. You can try to fix it all you like but you can't. You have two options:
1. Flash the full ROM zip with TWRP.
2. Flash the stock recovery and flash the incremental OTA.

Go and fix it, then post your fix.. we need you soo much... in the meantime most of the people will just flash the complete rom and go on with their lives.

Hello,
I had the same problem. I installed stock recovery from the link Heisenberg shared and then tried updating the phone via the OTA option. But the phone rebooted after a few mins on installation on the android screen to be back on the same version. I then tried installing the OTA incremental update zips from this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/official-cm11s-roms-ota-updates-t2906746 (I tried both the YNG1TAS2I3 -> YOG4PAS1N0 files) but ended up with the following error (Image attached).

Is flashing the entire ROM the only solution?

I'm not sure why this is happening to you, you can just use fastboot to flash the stock images top update (just don't flash the userdata image).

Introduction:
I was missing a stock based rom for this device. So I took the nvidia recovery image and made it a flashable zip for TWRP. You cannot use ota to update though, wait for the new version from here if you want to update.
Also, don't flash wrong zip on the wrong Shield Tablet. It's your own responsibilty
Features:
- Latest Stock Factory Image
- Zipaligned apps
- Nothing more
Download:
K1: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=93930
Original (Wifi & LTE): https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=94437
Also flash blob file of the same version
Enjoy!!
What to do with the blob zip:
Code:
1. Extract blob file from zip
2. Flash blob in fastboot with: fastboot flash staging "name of blob file"
Yup, I vote for original Shield ROM! Thanks!
Nice! Vulcan API goodness!
Zip for the original Shield Tablet (untested):
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24591000424954195
Thanks for this!
Is there any possibility you remove the Kill-Switch for users who have kept their tablet what has had to be replaced? I guess the Tegra Ota service must be disabled
Thanks! Made backup, flashed rom zip, flashed twrp, su, Xposed, nomoreota, and kernel. Wiped cache and booted system. Looks good so far... Not much immediate difference but we shall see over time. Came from stock so I did not wipe data and all is well.

Ok thank you. Previous post says something about the nomoreota file, I remember that one now.
Anyway is this ROM pre-rooted? And is the file for the original tablet compatible with all three versions of it?
So after a few hours this ROM is smoother, cooler and faster then stock... Guess I'll be keeping it for awhile.

The rom is not prerooted, also I only downloaded the wifi image. So that's the version for the original tablet
ok so after unlocking and rooting, I installed the bliss rom, but realized none of the nvidia apps were there And besides my Phantom I want this tablet for that.
so I wiped and installed this one, ran the nomoreota zip and everything is back to normal, but, I'm not longer rooted.
I just want this rom and rooted. I have twrp recovery and it works fine, but still not rooted.
anyhelp? thanks
