[Q] android kitchen Samsung note 2 removing default apks - General Questions and Answers

Hey all..
This is my first post here so....
I want to start a project just for me
I have my original ROM and I have used the kitchen to extract everything... Now I have 700meg of APKs to potentially remove.. First job and question is to find out which ones I can remove please ?
My phone is a Samsung galaxy note 2 n7105 lte it is a optus carrier branded ROM.
Currently I have cm11 installed... Ummmm... I like long walks on the beach
After I remove these unwanted apps I'd like to replace some of them I.e. the default browser with say Firefox and the SMS default it to something etc.
Any advice or links to other post with my same question would be great
Thanks....
Pavle.

[Q] Creating Roms for Galaxy Tab

Hi there,
sorry if this question has been asked before. I read a lot of threads before but most of them where for HTC phones. No tut for GT
What do i need to create custom roms for the GT?
Background info:
I'm runnig a EUR custom rom. The creator of the rom has stopped his work all of a sudden. There are some problems i encoutered while using his rom. The standart camera app is missing. Yeah it's installed i checked it allready. And i can't reinstall it either. LauncherPro was integrated into the system as default home app. It can't be updated anymore.
So what i wanna do is creating my own zImage and factory.rfs deodexed, zipaligned and root.
Which stock rom should i use?
What do i have to do to get started. Adding apps making a custom theme etc.
THX in advance and sorry for my poor english i'm from germany
Com' on im serious. I'm having some programming knowledge and I'm learning pretty fast. I made a rotobackup and I'm digging through the factory.rfs allready but I don't know where to start.
So please help
I am also trying to figure this out.
Especially changing the status bar, battery, animations ect......

[Q] Best of both sides ?? Galaxy Note 10.1

Hi, just bought a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000 and was going to flash CM10.1 ... but I saw somewhere that by doing so, I will lose all of Samsung-specific features like S Note, AirView, Multi Window and such ... So my question: should I flash CM10.1 or just find other ROMs which is based on stock Samsung ROM ?? Also, are there any third party apps which provides me with features like Multi-Window/AirView/S Note .... )
Thanks.:fingers-crossed:
Stock Sammy all the way for me .
Collective Edition is my current choice .

Sometimes it's best to stick with what you've got right now. I am more than happy with the "stock" experience at the moment; the only reason I've considered a flash is in hopes of being able to move my apps to the SD.
You can root your tab and get some of the advantages of custom roms while staying totally stock. Root access doesn't mean you have to go custom.

Thank you.

[Q] Question about custom ROM developing (Help is needed)

Hello!
I am an AndroNoob and haven't done much. I just have rooted my phone, used odin twice and tried to get cyanogenmod. I have got the Samsung Galaxy Xcover (GT-S5690) and i really would like to have android 4.0+ on it or even run 4.0+ apps on it. After about 5 days of searching a custom ROM that works good and is android 4.0+, i decided to make my own one. I just want to ask you, is it possible to use android kitchen or something to just get the original rom from sammobile or some other place and just make it be ics/jb or get likes 4.0+ firmware for galaxy ace or something and make it work with my xcover? And if so, how easy will it be (Should i even start using/wasting my time on it)? And last if possible i would like to have the samsung style android
And i would be so happy if i can get it done, get my xcover run ics/jb!
Thanks for any help and sorry for my bad english.

[Completed] Looking for the original ROM for my phone

Hi all,
I have Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE version (UK on 3 network) and I am looking to find the original ROM to flash back onto my device as I am no longer happy with the custom ROM I put on it.
I have currently got the X-Note_Aroma_Build_5.1_MJ7_Public ROM and there are various aspects of it that I am not happy with, and I am not clever enough to tweak them.
So yeah, I am looking to put the original ROM back on? Could anyone please point me in the right direction possibly? (I didn't keep the original files etc using recovery mod because they just took up way too much space on my device *insert "d'oh"*
If you require any further information, please give me a shout.
Kind regards
Vimes
Hi,
You can go here => [INDEX][REPO] Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Android Dev ROM/Kernel][MEGA-UPDATE][16th June]
Because there is no good link on XDA , you should search the net this reference => N9005XXUENA6 – Android 4.4.2 KitKat Firmware for Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005)
With this link and reference I'm sure that you will resolve your problem
Good luck

Galaxy s8+ rom not booting anymore [SM-G955F]

Hi!
First of all, I want to say thank you for this very helpful community! I love this place!
I've got a galaxy s8+ running 1 primary stock 7.0 touchwiz rom and 2 secondary dualbooted 7.1 roms (Lightrom and Batmanrom)
About a month ago, my primary rom didn't want to boot anymore. From googling, i understand that you will need to flash a new rom on top of your broken rom.
I'm familiar with the process, however... if I flash the exact same rom on top of the broken rom, will I lose my system app data? I.e text written samsung notes, browser data like history, bookmarks etc?
I couldn't find anything about this on the www . The information stored on that rom is of high importance to me...
Thanks in advance!
