I'd go for the Nexus 4. It has twice as much ram as the moto g which will come in handy for later updates of android, and a better higher clocked processor. Plus it's a google phone so you will get updates first and they will probably discontinue updates for the moto g before the nexus 4. Only trade off is no storage expansion on the nexus so your stuck with 8gb.

I second olycius. I'm a nexus 4 user. Bought the moto g recently too but returned it. Imho nexus 4 is better value. Not that the g is bad phone. And if your on xda i guess u will be modding. So go with the 4.

[Q] Moto G VS Galaxy Nexus and Ques

So I ordered the 16GB Moto G U.S version on Amazon and waiting for them shipping it out on the 11th and it then occured to me the other phone that is around the same in specs ..the Samsung Galaxy Nexus ..so I went on eBay to see if the price dropped on the unlocked version and its still $270 and up for a new one..
Why is the Nexus still more than the Moto G?
Last question, when is 4.4 KitKat coming to Moto G as in the exact date?

Its more because its discontinued and therefore harder to get...meaning people will more willingly pay higher price to get it.
Forget about the Gnex and stick to your Moto G lol, Ive got both atm Moto G is better overall.
And theres no exact date. Its coming sometime in January

[Q] Should I buy a Moto G or Galaxy S3 for T-Mobile?

I'm on T-mobile and have used the LG G2x for quite a long time now and it really sucks even after trying out so many different roms including CM7. I can't afford something great like the S5 so the Moto G and S3 (a refurbished one from eBay) seem like decent choices for me. I know the Moto G is newer and might be getting the Android L update so it seems like a greater choice. Plus I would be ordering it from Motorola's site and getting the 4G LTE version with the microSD slot for about $219. The refurbished S3 on eBay is $224. I'd just like to know which seems like the better deal, pros and cons, and good support for rooting. Alternate phone suggestions are also welcome. Thanks

I recommend the Moto G as it is practically guaranteed future updates to at least Android 5.0, also the Moto G has almost stock Android experiance with a better screen.
I personally own a Moto G (1st Gen) and love it so much I've recommended it to most people for a cheap powerful Android phone and I'm sure the 2nd Gen will not disapoint.
Also if price is an issue then go for the 1st gen Moto G as it should drop in price due to launch of the Moto G 4G and Moto G 2nd gen

But zenfone have 2gb ram but moto g 2014 have 1gb ram. Will it not give any performance effect?
Sometimes specs don't make a difference. I would pick the Moto G any day
Sent from my Moto G using XDA Free mobile app

Moto X or OPO

Going to pick up a new phone but can't pick between the moto x or the OPO. Already have the nexus 5 and not interested in the N6. Which would you pick?

[Q] Question to Nexus 6 owners

What is your opinion of the best Non-Nexus phone on Verizon right now?
I am thinking it will come down to the Moto X 2014 or Droid Turbo. Are there any others worth considering?
Have a friend with an upgrade coming up and does not want to buy retail.
Note 4 or the edge.
