Unable to update Google apps - T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide

Whenever I try and update Google Maps and Google Drive from Google Play, I get:
Error: Insufficient storage available.Installing and updating other applications seem fine so I am thinking it's the system partition. Android Settings say I have 137MB free for internal storage and 9.8GB free for SD card storage.
Is there a way to increase the size of my system partition? Or is there another fix for this?
I am using Emmanuel's KitKat DS v1.3 (full wipe)

Insufficient storage available.

Hi,
I have an Android device. I bought it from our local cellphone shop, a Cherry Mobile phone. name of the unit is Jelly. Its Android Version used was 4.2.2. I have 165mb of internal storage(17.88mb available) and 14.87GB(13.28GB available) of SD card. I've rooted it using FramaRoot. I'm getting this error when I download or install an application using Playstore and APK installer.
"Error downloading. Insufficient storage available".
I tried clearing the cache. I've put it's Preffered install location to "SD card". Default Write Disk to "SD card" . But nothing worked! I really need help!
I cant download anything! I tried to download Link2SD(a 3mb file) to fix but nothing! I've tried installing Lucky Patcher apk. but it said "Insufficient ....................." .. How do I fix this?
I also noticed this when I was running out of storage, even though there was enough space for apps.
Try deleting some more data in your internal storage, not the SD card, and it should work again.
Basically, if u download an apps from the Play Store, the apps will be stored first in the internal storage. After that it will automatically moved to SD Card if u have root and set ur device.
Does the app which u want to download larger than the available internal storage?
If that so, u should free some memory in ur device.
Otherwise, u could try to enlarge the internal storage of ur device, try to find it in other part of this forum corresponding to your device.
17MB internal is the problem. It can't download an app directly to the SD, it has to pass through the internal memory first.
Clear some space on the internal memory.
Also, try dialing *#9900# and clicking on 'delete dumpstate/logcat'. Might give you a few more MB's.

[Q] Apps installation denied

Hi everyone.
I have Link2SD installed and i have improved my memory space for data in ext2 partition.
Now I have 350mb available in my internal memory (/data) and 500 mb in system memory (/data/ext2).
The issue is that I can not install some apps, but others yes, even if they have much larger dimensions (e.g Google Apps).
I have change the path installation by Link2sd from internal to external, deactivated the same app (in conjuction with the Plus version) and reactivated but nothing good...
I have ViperSV 1.6.0 on board, and this is a restored version from backup. Earlier with the same rom, this apps were regularly installed on my sd card (moved not linked), but now, after I have restored my rom, I can not do the same thing.
In the meantime, however, other 14 apps are reguarly moved to the sd card and 51 are linked...
Please help me...

Lenovo Tab 2 a7-10F storage issue

Hi, I have a lenovo Tab 2 a7-10F (running on Android Kitkat 4.4.2). After installing some apps on the device I have now encountered a storage problem. Everytime I try to download anything from Google Play it just gives me an "insufficient storage available" error. I have about 490MB of free storage on my tab right now but I still cannot install any app in it. When I download apps from other markets like Aptoide, they install perfectly but Google Play refuses to install or even update any app - no matter how small- unless I free up more than 500MB of space. I cannot move apps to my 16GB external SD card as the device has an 'emulated' storage and does not read obb files stored on my external SD. The following are the steps I've tried so far-
1. Cleared cache, data and updates of Google Play, Google Service Framework, Google Play Service, Download manager
2. Removing and re-adding my account
3. Using different Google IDs to download
4. Using apps like Obb2SD, Obb on SD, link2SD etc to try move the heavy obb files from emulated storage to the actual external SD in order to free up space
But none of them have worked so far. So I'm stuck with 490MB of free space on my device and yet I cannot update even a 2MB app. The problem is not with my Google ID or Network as I used them to download apps on my phone as well and they installed even when space is running as low as only 100MB. Can anyone suggest a solution for this? How can I get rid of this error/move apps to External SD and free up space? Thanks.
Can anyone alteast tell me if its possible at all to move apps to external SD on emulated storage?
same issue with me
Want to move apps to sd card.

Mysterious case of Insufficient Storage despite 5.08 GB of available space.

I'm using the Nobis NB09 tablet with Android 4.1.1. When attempting to download an app from the Google Play Store, I get Insufficient Storage error, despite 5.08 GB of available space and the app that I want to download is only 9.83 MB, so there is more than enough space to install it.
Available space reported in Storage:
Internal Storage
Available66.24 MB
Internal Storage
Available5.01 GB
Why is all this available space being ignored?
Why are there 2 sections for Internal Storage shown in Storage?

Thers this regular storage space and another space where you are supposed to install apps and you've seem to have hit the limit there . also an app that's only 10 MB mayoccupy much more after installation .(it need to store cache and all)
So you need to free space in the the first storage that has only 66 MB available .either delete some unwanted apps or move some apps to SD card or you can increase the limit for app installed space using Root access required apps.

After uninstalling updates for unneeded apps, storage is reporting 319 MB of free space, so much space was liberated.
The initial download size was 9.83 MB compared to 23.97 MB after installation. So it takes up 2.4x more space after installation.
Is there a way to resize the partitions as in changing the ratio of apps to regular storage?

You can make use of apps like link2sd but it requires root

Storage isues

Hello,
I have a GoClever Aries 785 (M7841) Tab, and supposedly it is an 8 GB tab, since I can ot post any images because I am a new user this will be harder, I will try to transcript from the screenshots I have taken, here we go:
1. You see this when you press the "Storage" tab in settings:
Storage
Rom information
Internal Rom 8192 MB
System 7528 MB
User Available 664 MB
Okay so, What does all this mean? Am I missing something obvious here? Internal Rom as I understand is the total memory the device has? And System is how much is currently being used as a total? User available is self explanatory. I am not new to flashing Android Roms and such, but this is confusing me for some reason. Moving on to the next image and closer to the main question
2 In the same "Storage" tab I see a section called:
Flash storage
Total space: 5.06 GB
Available: 664 MB
(And on it goes with how much storage the apps, pics and so on occupy)
As I understand, this Flash Storage is an emulated internal SD card or something
3. Another section is:
Internal storage
Total space: 0.98GB
Available: 287MB
Apps (SYSTEM APPS IN FACT) and cached data takes about 500MB
So that adds up to what? 6 GBs? As I understand 3 GB is hidden and used by the Android system?
The point of all this is this leaves me with like a half a GB to download apps and install them because they all go to internal storage and not flash storage or SD card. WTF? I am constantly having issues of low storage and when I reach a certain limit Google Play does not even let download apps. I can have the Flash storage as empty as I want and an SD card as large as I want but because the internal storage has only 300 MB available I am not able to download apps. I can download apps if there is free internal storage and move them to flash storage from the app manager, but the system still leaves some data in the Internal storage and I do not think I can move them to an SD card, so since when I move an app to the Flash storage and it leaves some data in Internal, I come to a point when it is full again and there is nothing I can do about it. I cant select the default write disk to be Flash stage or SD, but I think it is only for the camera, voice recorder and etc. How do I work around this? Is there a way to reparation the storage so there would be more space of Internal storage? Or maybe some thing else I could do? I can not even have apps like Facebook or the Google Docs that I need, I have to constancy clean cache so I cant at least get like 20 MB more.
Device is rooted, I can access device internal storage with ES file explorer.
If you have gotten this far, I thank you for reading my novel, I have tried to explain everything as clear as I can and to include as much info as I can, some of it might have been useless. Sorry for a long post.
No one has the answer?
Hi !
If the device has been rooted then some improper storage readings may occur
Install DiskInfo from playstore for a better image of your storage
You can use but be careful with SdMaid from playstore as well
Basically , a 8GB Rom is the total storage your device has been built with which actually means 7629.39 mb in real
From this amount , 3 gb may be the system which you can`t fill it up with user`s apps or personal files , the rest of it is the user`s space storage from which 500 mb is the cache
In the end , without any personal files or user`s apps , the amount of available storage may be 4291.53 mb so , try to remove all the personal (media) files away (audio , video, downloads ...) and check how much free space you`ll get
Your system may be capable of moving user`s app to flash storage but this is limited to certain folders like data folder of the application , the obb won`t move out
A good application is Apps2Sd from playstore but again , be very careful and properly read the xda`s thread before doing anything
Good luck !
