[Q] s2 plus GT-I9105P dualboot possible? - Samsung Galaxy S II Plus

Is it possible to dualboot my s2 plus?

only if a custom kernel supports dualbooting roms. As far as i know , this phone does not have much development and hence does not have many custom kernels ... afaik , the only custom kernel available is mosh kernel by CoolDevelopment ( Kudos to him for his work on cm11 and the kernel ) which , by the way does not support dual booting . so all you can do is wait for a kernel to be compiled by a rec dev or try to learn how to compile or build it for yourself ... all the best and happy flashing

[source code]MT6577[kernel+ril]

hey guys......good news blu has released source code of its mobile which include mt6577 sources also
here take a look:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2650513
lets have some cyanogenmod and slimkat builds......
devsDark4Droid, @superdragonpt, @pratikmore, @bsuhas, @icoolguy1995, @khan_frd2002, @sagarwep, @mmxandy, @andiroxu, @yuweng @SuperDroid-BOND plz devs take a look
Sure MT6577 source is good, but only ICS.
Still its buildable for the Blue Device, you (we) still have to adapt the source to our phones.
But should be an great project.
In the mean time, i prefered to continue on the KitKat project for MT6589..

Thanks Alot Sir i Am A Big Fan Of Your ROMs For MT6577... And Now i Own a MT6589 Device... its Good To Hear That You Will Work On Kitkat For MT6589 :victory: i Will Be Desperately Waiting For Your ROM To See in My Device (After Porting)...
Just Wanted To Ask You One Question... Will We Be Able To Use Our Stock JB Kernel 3.4.5 (Swapped Ramdisk) With Your Kitkat ROM? Just Like We Do With Your ROMs For MT6577?
As of now the Omni Rom project for the MT6589:
-kitkat 4.4.2 boots great without bugs
-wifi works (still not fully stable, but works)
-Calls (telephony) finnaly works, but with no sound.
So the worst part concerning framework sources (the Radio Interface Layer), is now being patched with great success.
Concerning your kernel 3.4.5 (BTW that kernel was made by Varun) it will require some patches for KK to work.
As for the rest, only time will tell .
Regards

I haven't done it before but i'm a pretty expert at porting apps and theming stuff so i can try building a cyanogenmod rom for this device
but all i need is some testers.
My dad has this phone and it's very laggy so i know why people want a custom ROM
P.S.:My dad won't allow me to root his phone
so i need some testers and some more developers will start my work next month stay tuned and pm me if you want to join hands!
yes Bro I Am Ready For Testing Your Rom Just Build It

Thanks for help. If you build your ROM, I'll test it on my S7390 - I should only change model number in build.prop and some info in updater-script. S7390 is just the same as S7392 - the only difference is the fact S7392 has 2 sim card slots - that's why its name is duos.
PS. I'm counting on you, I think you can do it!
i am up with testing and developing
I want to test your ROM as soon as you have it

[Q] Are Cyanogen devices tree compatible with AOSP ?

Hi all,
I've a question for you guys.
I've a SG3 (i9300), I'd like to know if using the cyanogen device tree for my device (located here) is possible to build AOSP source code.
if yes, then it looks like that would be possible to compile Lollipop AOSP for my device.. am I right ?
Thank you very much.
Cyanogen IS AOSP... Lol. Its AOSP with added features. If that's not an Android 5.0 lollipop kernel source, then it won't boot out of the box. Your best bet would be to get some Android 4.4 kernel source and do ramdisk edits and what not needed to get an Android 5.0 ROM booting. Alternatively, if your device is CM supported, I know they were talking about releasing CM12 soon, you could just hold out to see if your device is supported. Outside of CM, many custom ROMs (AOKP, Pacman, etc.) Take it upon themselves to release ROMs as well. Example: PACman had a 4.4 custom ROM out and in circulation, even before cyanogenmod, so u never know!

Hello, thanks for your answer.
I'd like to know this only for learning purpose, I'm not going to compile the AOSP
What I don't understand, is why adding the device tree to the lollipop AOSP is not sufficient to boot out of the box, can you please explain this in details ? Many thanks.

[HELP] Best kernel and ROM

Hi, i need to know which is the best kernel and also the best ROM for my Tab 2 (P5100) because i need to improve its performance that are very bad now.
I'm an expert user so tell me all you know please!
The best (and only) kernel is AnyKernel by Andi (does not support overclock). There are a lot of good roms, you should try a few and see for yourself which suits you more. If you like marshmallow I recommend AICP 11 or Slim6.
