yes if you reflash your device to stock firmware and its not rooted you should be able to get the offical update.

The S4 comes with Android 4.2.2 my friend. are you trying to get to stock android? since it was shipped with 4.2 im sure nobody made a downgraded rom to 4.1.
is possible that Samsung releases Android 4.3 stock for our device?

The only way to have android 4.3 or 4.4 for now is by flashing these custom roms:

To get official updates you have to flash stock firmware first...
You can download stock firmware from sammobile.com & flash it using ODIN

you need to download a stock rom from sammobile.com or samsungupdates.com and flash it with odin.
google for more deatiled guides and whatnot.

hey man. Original means what do you wanna say the stock frimware or the official modified version of stock frimware if you will flash the official stock version the phone will be unrooted
