The side metal? I dont think it is metal. it is plastic coated with a metal finish. I have a crack in mine.

My A2 doesn't collect dust at all. My Otterbox, on the other hand...

Mine gets it around the bezel inbetween the screen and bezel. Minor annoyance
Sent from my Atrix 2 using XDA Premium App. . Hit thanks if I surprisingly help you.
I find that only place the A2 itself collects dust is around the microphone, but that's easily cleaned.
Pretty much all of the silicone-based ("squishy") cases will attract dust like crazy. Hard cases won't provide as much protection but they won't drive you insane with dust .

I have mine in an Otterbox Commuter w/XtremeGuard screen protector.....only part that attracts dust is the silicone portion of the Otterbox, but a quick blow, pause, and the dust is gone.

Hey,
Did you get this case? Was it any good?
I did, and no, it's not. The front panel is this soft flexible plastic. Almost like a clear balloon in texture. Did not seem durable enough for my precious. I purchased an underwater bag instead, seems much better.
I think this Waterpoof Case will work for you.
I received my P8 max not too long ago and while I was trying to clean a smudge on my screen with a microfibre cloth I noticed that even a light bit of pressure caused the screen to flex/bend inwards(?). I never encountered this happening with any of my previous phones, is this normal? I'm worried its gonna cause permanent damage to the screen if it keeps happening..
It's normal. I have "signs" on the screen from my smart cover.

Sorry, what do you mean signs on your screen from the smart cover? I don't understand
Ok, this is not the same case. "Signs": the prints of round perforations from smart cover. I have not the screen protector and the reason is probably the surface dust film.

No im not talking about case, I mean the the actual phone screen. It bends when you push on it lightly. I was wondering if its the same for everyone else?
No. Nothing happends with the screen when i clean it.
My Mediapad X2 slightly bends if I leave it in my pocket and bend over. I can notice it by putting it on the desk. A device so large and made of aluminum will have some bend unfortunately.

I see, does the metal body bend as well or just the screen? Because on my ipad mini when I press against the screen its like a hard glass and doesn't bend like the P8 Max. It's almost as if the P8 max has a plastic screen or something.

Yeah, you can see ripples on the screen if you push in on the glass. I think it's just a laminated display and not gorilla glass.

P8max has Corning Gorilla Glass 3
Thanks
The Zenfone 3 ultra was just released. I'm definitely picking one up if it has US LTE support.
Has anyone found one or ordered one yet?
U can buy nubia red magic 3 Tempered Glass in Ali xpress website
I'll let you know when my order comes from AliExpress.
Do you not like the one that comes on the device? I'm considering taking mine off just to cut down on some of the weight this device has.
the one that comes with the device is plastic PET. Which attracts oil and is super ugly
I bought mine from cect shop ( germany),
3 Glass protector.
Yes , ordered one from AliExpress. Will get it within a week.

I live in the southeast asia region, the reseller sent a free one with it.. Does anyone have an idea about any updates on the OS? I have a red tint problem like the samsung s8s, but it is manageable though..
I ordered TG from Amazon.
I went with Khaos 9H. There's a few on Amazon, and they're all fairly similar. I just went with the one that covers more of the screen.
Hey bro. Did u get ur tempered? How is it? Is it good? Can u share a picture to us? Thx a lot

That original one has lasted me ever since I got it in 08/2019 without any peeling at all. I'm looking to replace it because last weekend the phone being so big using it with one hand it slid off and landed face down on the rocks. Lucky that protector saved. It catched a really bad hit which definitely would had cracked the screen. I don't want to take the film off without having the new one on hand, but I'm still worried to see if indeed did something to the screen.

Hi. My trusty oneplus3t finally ended his life so i got mi 9t. First impressions are great but I was used to magnetic holder in car and when I tried to glue metal plate to back of phone I was a little disapointed! It was not sticking. I guess this is with all glass back phones or just mi 9t? Tried thin tesa double sided tape also with no luck. So any ideas without resorting to phone scratching and epoxy?

Maybe it is not so convenient, but I use phone with the cover that came in the box when I bought it. I guess you can glue some iron to it, even not to the glass back to the phone
You could try a case with the metal disk already built in, there's quote a few listed on aliexpress for the mi 9t

, you can buy case online with magnet on it designed for cars.
I would advice you to change the magnetic holder in your car instead,
I had one and everyone had noticed that magnetic holders worsen the mobile signal.
Or get some profesional glue that sticks on glass? Any Half decent hardware store should have it...
Buy a gravity holder. Much better.

What i see ppl do is to either get a very good looking case and glue the metal plate on the phone, or glue the plate and buy a Dbrand Skin
Do people really glue metal plates to their phones? Madness...
the reason why you can't paste anything is very simple. Both the front and rear windows have an oleophobic coating so it's impossible to stick anything.
try to find a holster or use the back cover that came with your phone

You can sand it down.
Also the coating is really poor an Xiaomi phones.

your phone and you can do whatever you want with it. the quality of the oleophobic layer is not at stake here, but nothing can be glued to the greased surface.
for consolation, let them know that the same happens with a samsung phone
