Hello there,
Regarding this thread title, at first i wanted to post a reply in this thread
[rom] m4 stx updated 1/30/2014, but hey... i am new here (a complete Noob) and i am not permitted to post to development-related forums, yet.
Yesterday I've flashed My HTC One Mini with M4 STX Rom by cmvienneau (Hey, thanks for the rom cmvienneau) and thank god it was success, my phone running smooth, only one little problem so far, if i connect by USB-OTG cable the phone is behave like if i connect it to PC with usb cable, there is a notice about snyc manager, and charging animation (LoL i can charge my phone using USB-OTG Cable).
Was i doing something wrong while flashing my phone and does anybody have the same problem like mine?
Edit:
It seems my problem is exactly like in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2591509. So this is duplicate,
Update:
After some reading here and there, apparently this is a 4.3 issue.
Anybody, please confirm this.
Thanks.
this is completely normal.lol youre all good

Edit: whoops, probably would have been better to post this in the actual X10 Q&A, if any kind mod could move it, it would be appreciated.
Hey all, not having posted 10 times I cant post this in the appropriate developer's thread but I hoped i could quell the issues here just the same
After having issues upgrading my xperia x10 using SE's official updating program, from 2.1 to 2.3.3, I headed over here to find a .ftf file that I could use Flashtool to do it myself. I grabbed one ( i think it was from Androxyde's thread), and flashed it.
I thought it best to root it right then and there, so i hopped over to DooMLoRD's thread, and noticed when i plugged in my phone to start rooting, that my phone wasn't receiving mobile internet. I rebooted my phone again, and it still wasn't back.
I know its a new firmware, and that any copies that aren't official might be slightly dodgy, but I was wondering whether anyone could suggest anything I could do? Any ideas at all would be appreciated (and it doesn't appear to be on my service providers end, it was working fine before I updated)
Pre-emptive Thanks
Didn't know if anyone has been able to get MHL/HDMI output to work with any 4.2.2 Rom?
I've tried build.prop edits with no luck. I've only watched the phone screen rotate to landscape view, but without an image displaying on the TV. Searching the GS3 threads, I've found similar results, but most of the comments are stale (Sep'12 or Feb'13). I'm going on a business trip soon and really didn't want to go back to a 4.1.2 TW Rom.

hdmi working 4.2.2
i'm trying to post this more so people can see, or if someone wants something from my phone for debugging
I'm running liquid smooth 2.4 d2att (4.2.2) and I've got HDMI working after recovering from a soft brick. I think installing the "stock kernel" fixed it for me but my kernel Info still shows as lean kernel 3.4 which came with the ROM.
This is what I did first
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2314841
Obviously I wasn't reading nor did I understand what I was doing but I installed this
http://d-h.st/KhR
Which is clearly not meant for my d2att so I got the brick.
Did the SD card did trick on my 32gb SD card (my phones only 16gb and lol in that forum claimed you had to match SD size with internal storage for it to work, but it worked first try for me.)
I had to reflash the updated boot loader with Odin to fix the brick and then I was back to installing random stuff to fix hdmi
This is the "stock kernel" that got my HDMI working... Im still not sure this is a kernel or what happens when you install it over a different kernel but HDMI worked after installing
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1992483
I did a backup post brick and I'm not sure if I should tempt fate by trying out a different ROM with hopes I can get HDMI on them. Its sad but I'm not sure why no one cares to fix hdmi
Hi there
I recently got an old Xperia S from a friend of mine, which I would like to revive and upgrade to Lollipop. I do not need any files on the phone and think that I wont be needing the DRM files neither. What I need is root access and a good ROM (that's stable and supports all special features of the Xperia S).
I've stumbled upon these:
* http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-s/s-development/rom-naosprom-xperia-s-t2958516
* http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-s/s-development/pure-aosp-lollipop-t2940839
My question now, as I'm pretty darn new to the Android world, is: Do these ROMs fit my needs? If yes, which one should I go for?; and if not, what other ROMs could I use?
Thanks in advance
I've been going with the first one, the nAOSP 5.1 ROM. Flashing and everything worked out just fine, but my wifi isn't working. I see the available networks and am able to enter my credentials but after that it just switches between "authenticating" and "connection beeing established". Did I miss out on anything here? What's my mistake?
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. I think the best idea would be to have a quick look through the last ten pages in the ROM thread and the q&a thread for the ROM to see is anyone else is reporting the same issue. That way you can be sure that the developers are aware and are working on the problem. If nobody else is reporting it then it's probably a good idea to report it yourself.

i tried to change the Rom with the last existent zip rom which was in my sd card but it doesnt fixed.
it wasnt important for me so i wait for some weeks but it suddenly fixed and then i could use my camera with no problem. after 4-5 days that showed up again. i didn't know which app made this problem i decide to make a HOT BOOT i did it but the biger problem occurred ==> the phone rebooting repeatedly after the (HTC and venom) logo. the rom doesn't start and before that the phone restarts. i change the rom but i didnt try any other rom just the venom. i really dont know what is going on! please help me venom. thank u very much. i really like your brilliant roms.

Hi there,
You right. Also please read our sticky thread: The Purpose of XDA Assist.
For questions related to that ROM please use this Q&A thread:

Good luck
Hey guys, brand new member here, first post, I know I just broke the cardinal rule of the forum bu not filling out my info first, I'll go do all that jazz now.
Right, I bought a HTC Desire 500 which (unbeknownst to me) had been ****ed with, it has Team win Recovery Project installed, but no OS. One night the phone randomly shut off and decided it didn't have an OS anymore, and in my pathetic attempt to repair it I made it worse. It now has nothing at all apart from the TWRP installed and I haven't a clue how to install a new OS, can anyone help?

Hello and welcome to XDA-developers!
Your device supports USB OTG which allows you to directly connect pen drive and other peripherals to your smartphone directly with an OTG cable.
