[Q] Samsung Not fully transferring files?? - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Rooted Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 - SCH-i705
Android 4.0.4
Stock Rom
Using Directory Bind to expand internal memory.
So here's the story. I use an app to either stream or download videos. I downloaded these two mp4 videos and I would like to transfer them to my computer so I can add them to my network. I've done this a few times and have never had a problem until my last two attempts.
Video One - On tablet 258MB Plays fine in any video player I use.
Transfer the video via USB to computer 164MB (always 164MB) is all that transfers.
Not a huge issue per-say but was wondering if anyone could divine the reason.

[Q] Dolphin browser doesn't recognize streamed video BIN file

Hello everybody
I think that this is the right place to post this problem.
I have a laptop with a USB tv card connected to my network.
Using the software DistanTV supplied from Pinnacle, it is possible to live-TV streaming to PC or Iphone connected via wifi.
Now my question.
I have not any problem using my pc or ipod to watch the live TV streamed by my main laptop but I cannot do it using my Samsung Galaxy S !
When I try to do it with the Galaxy S, it starts to buffer the video but , instead to open the video reader, it try to download a file named PREVIEW.BIN....
I tried Dolphin HD and Skyfire browsers, even using the iphone or desktop user agent, but the result is the same.
Do you have any idea to solve the problem ?
You are my last possibility...
Thanks a lot !
Bruno from Italy.

Issues transferring files Windows 8

TF300 ROM: CleanROM Inheritance 3.4.1
Desktop OS: Windows 8
I'm trying to move my season of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure onto my TF300, but I am running across some issues. Whenever I attempt to transfer the files, it seems like Explorer is crashing. It only happens with video files. Pictures and audio transfer fine. It also only happens on my TF300. I can transfer the episodes to my Galaxy Note just fine. I am led to believe its a TF300-side issue since Windows 8 is transferring media to my other devices perfectly fine.
Anyone ever run across this problem before?

Place external sdcard in pc and copy files there. If they need to be on internal sdcard you can transfer them from /Removable/MicroSDcard to /sdcard with a file browser.

Video Playback, halp..

Hi guys:
I've been trying to play my full bluray files, (m2ts, mkv) on my note 3 // nexus 7 // etc.
I am currently using ES-explorer to connect to my PC, and feeding to MX-Player... It plays smooth for 3 seconds, then craps out.
I know I have enough bandwidth 110Mb/s possible on the N66u-tomato to devices.
Does anyone know of a better way to stream to MX-Player ?
I know the processing hardware is capable since I can play full bluray files off an external disk via usb otg.
Using network monitor I see that it's uploading exactly HALF the incoming bandwidth during playback, so I'm assuming ES-explorer is using some sort of virtual server transition to get to MX-Player..
Does anyone know what type of back end i need to setup to stream to MX-Player directly ?

looks like you have switched from iphone you just need to "copy" and "paste" the music in the storage and nothing else
the player will automatically detect it from anywhere in the phone.

I haven't switched from iPhone, been a htc user.
When i connect s6 to mac using usb then load up kies i get this pop up
An alternative is you can boot to Windows using Boot Camp. Connect your S6 via USB. Windows will recognize your S6 as a USB drive. Copy and paste all your music files to a folder on your S6. Your S6 will recognize the music files automatically. This worked for me and my macbook pro.

Use Android File Transfer for Mac OSX
https://www.android.com/filetransfer/
You mean on OS X, the phone does not show up as a normal starge device where you can copy your files?
Man, S6 is a Samsung device not HTC. i thought it was an IP 6s, lol. For android, the process is quite simple, just copy and paste music to the Music folder on your phone. Make sure the format is supported by Android, like MP3, WMV, etc... DRM protected music will not work on the device.
Samsung seems to be transitioning from KIES to Smartswitch. KIES does not support the most recent phones.

Playing videos from flash drive (exFAT) on VLC (Android 8.0)

Hello,
I've got a TV Box running Android 8 (non upgradable) and I'm trying to watch movies from my USB flash drive (formatted as exFAT, since I've got files larger than 4GB).
Issue #1: VLC player (version 3.0, also non upgradable) does not recognize it at all.
Issue #2: In the native File Explorer app, I can see and access the movie files. But, if I try to open them using VLC, an error occurs (something related to "path cannot be found or does not exist").
Question #1: is there a workaround to force VLC to "see" my flash drive?
Question #2: do you know any file explorer app that works on Android 8 AND detects external USB drives, which could be used to open VLC avoiding the path problem?
Question #2 is related to this video. However, this app no longer exists and I've spent hours looking for another one without success.
Thanks in advance.
