Did you use .iso image or 7z? And i see that i need 3,5GB free space on sd card to install Backtrack. But does it matter on which one,internal or external?

I used img on external memory and works fine ..try them both maybe internal is faster

Have you tried apps like app2sd?

Use app2sd..if u still need more space then root your phone and use link2sd..

I tried roms like razodroid,creeds,chocobread... which has darktremor a2sd.i tried partitioning my sd card using both minitool and CWM but a2sd not recognising my sd-ext.

the second partition of your sd card needs to be mounted before you can use it
when you flash the roms make sure you mount /sdext from recovery/ mounts and storage

i made an ext4 partition using mintool.

just try ext2 because ext2 is supported by all kernels
also instead of apps2sd try link2sd I find it more user friendly and it has more features too
