It seems to only be on my phone. Not my SO's phone. You can feel the bottom lip definitely protruding further on mine. Any of you experience this? Solutions? Warranty? Live with it?

Just clean it with the pointy end of a thin sheet of paper. This happens with every phone I've ever owned.
sent from my neXus 5

Happened on every phone except the iPhone for me. Just use the corner of a thin sheet of paper to get it out.

A thread for this kind of stuff for real.could have googled what to do with this type of problem

The same thing has been bothering me a lot as well. Usually if I wipe it down with a microfiber most of it goes away but there are still similar specs to the ones in your picture. I just tried using paper and it didn't work too well. I ordered a small pack of the cyber putty, I think that should work better. @rootSU do you think the small 2.6 oz bag will be enough to clean a keyboard as well?

Toothbrush / Paint brush does the trick for me each time!

Its not disposable. Or at least it lasts for a long time. Had mine over a year. Maybe 2

@supersu does the cleaning putty peel a screen protector if it gets on it?

Were you trying to tag me in that post?
I can't say to be honest, I haven't used it with a screen protector. I doubt it but don't take my word for it.

Back Cover Modification (in progress)

Haha ok so let me start off by saying the glass was cracked on the camera cover anyways.
ANY IDEAS TO MAKE IT LOOK NICER ARE VERY MUCH APPREACIATED
Alright, so i got to thinking that removing that fingerprinty, smudgy glass from the display would provide for much better, less washed out pictures. So i (crudely) removed as much glass as I could and am taking suggestions on how to remove the rest. Thanks
PS I've already tried a flathead screwdriver and i felt like i was gonna snap the whole back.

It might actually not turn out that bad
almost there. Maybe a coat of black to cover up the tabs? Although it might not blend well...
I might have tried a drill with a bit just a little bigger than the actual lens.
Looking forward to before and after pics.
ETA: You could clean it up with a little black tape or a decal and some X-Acto knife work.

That occured to me after I did it X( but still the glass probably would have spiderwebbed from the drill so im just gonna go for removing all the glass.

The cracks are forming in all four corners. April 13th-July 2nd.
this on top of rooting a phone and putting something like supercharged or Blazed will give god like battery life lol. nice link!
So far it seems that way. I managed to run it down to 50% that was using it all day.

Question
So with this bigger battery does anyone carry a car charger and or usb cord with them? I would like to have just a battery that would last mostly all day.
Mine easily lasts all day.

Hey guys.
Could you take a pic of the phone with the default battery and the 4000mah,including the cover.
Thanks.
Yes I can but i'm currently in school so it will have to wait until i'm out of school or when i'm off work.

If you have the extended battery, how do you use a case?Is there a case for it?
Yes of course

I think he meant a case like otterbox and not just a backdoor case

Anyone who has this - how shock-resistant is the new backing? Would it in any way be roughly analogous to actually having a silicon/rubber Body Glove-esque case on it?

The corners of my cracked out. It didn't effect it staying on tho. I switched back to my oem bat and otterbox tho because I dropped my phone and smashed screen out so I fixed and didn't want to happen again lol.

Cracked Nexus 5 screen upon arrival?

I'm going to go ahead and call bs on that.
crazy, but weird that the phone is already setup and everything.. no plastic on screen. I dunno, first time hearing something like that.
Yeah that's not a crack, that's shattered.
I'm gonna call bs on that too.

Why would he set it up tho? Hard to believe imo

This is the eerily familiar like the Nexus 4 thread where the guy claimed the glass shattered while inside his pocket.
Sigh.
So he pulled it out of the box, saw the screen was shattered, and decided to go ahead and take the plastic off and set up the phone any way?
Bull****!
But it is all logged in with the sticker off? Yea....

Yup total BS, you don't take the screen protector off a cracked phone
Impossible lol. I bet he dropped it then tried to be smart by blaming google.
im sorry but this is hard to believe! It looks like it was dropped! The point of impact looks like the bottom left corner!
I don't know him to be a dishonest person. Maybe somehow he got a unit that had been tampered with?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4
Still think its hard to believe! Why would you take the protective plastic film off, if you notice the screen is cracked? Also these phones are shipped in a decent retail packaging and then you have the actual shipping box filled with either peanuts!

AFAIK back in the day, the UPS practice was to "build" a "wall" then just throw ****(parcels) in behind it...
...so... I dunno.. BS or not, but the package should CLEARLY have shown signs of being beat all to hell and back... -> refuse delivery, or photo and claim it...
yea not buying that one nice try bro
I call BS too! The way my phones where packed there was no way that they would have cracked like this. They are in a molded box inside a box wrapped by a box inside a box with airbags.

Heh, spot on.

Should I put a sheild on it?

Is it worth it to put a sheild on the smartwatch 2? Or is it worthless because it's scratch proof?
I wear it naked for a few months and the glass is perfect. The metal bezel is scratched a bit but it would have been even with a screen protector
Envoyé depuis mon HTC One
I work on a rail road and have been wearing mine for about 3 months to work and the glass is still flawless.

Have you been wearing it all the live-long day? Do you look at it just to pass the time away?
(sorry, I couldn't help myself)
I'm wearing mine since it's release day in and out and except of a few scratches (don't know how i got them) on the left there is nothing to complain about. I don't think it's necessary to put a shield on it. Here's a picture of it:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B25rwuqtZqUwRGcyV1pMQTVlMzQ
I bought a cheap screen protector for a tablet, and cut it to size.
I'd rather play safe than risk scratching my screen. The body have serveral dents on it already...
I have one on mine, bought in eBay and very happy! I have two little scratches on the shield, but not worried at all because it's on the shield and not the glass ?
Yo can buy a cheap pack of two for 3€ ?

I Have a protector on it, chose antireflecting shield to reduce reflections and feeling abit lucky now after hitting it very badly couple times to sharp edges.

Cheap Ebay Waterproof Case w/ Pics

I'm headed out ice fishing this weekend and I always like to use a waterproof case. I picked up one of THESE on Ebay for $14.93 with free shipping. I tested it last night submerged under 2 feet of water for 4 hours and it did not leak at all. The back is hinged at the top and has a clip that holds the bottom closed. There are little tabs that stick out on the sides of the back to lock it in place when closed. Sound quality is good and people have no problems hearing me while using the case. The home button is a little stiff but should soften up a little with use.

The S5 is only water resistant not waterproof. I think the issue with making the Note series water resistant is the hole for the S-Pen.
Yes. Think so too. But really like the YouTube videos, then they record under water... But only it can take some beer and drinks I'm satisfy

I did a quick underwater video of me releasing a trout with my Note 3 in a cheap waterproof case. It's nothing special, I just wanted to see how it would look.

nevermind, it was a plug and it was lost upon first opening it, i found it later.
