My suggestion is do not us TB to restore your apps. Only data. It gets finicky when trying to install apps from different ROMs. Whenever possible do fresh installs of your apps. I attached the .apk for you to try.
Copy the WiFi-Calling.apk to your sd card. You can use 'Super Manager' from the app market. Open 'Super Manager' then go into file manager. Check your settings in Super Manager by going into setup/root and make sure 'enable ROOT function' is checked. Find your WiFi-Calling.apk on your SD Card and copy. Press 'Back up level folder' twice. Go into 'system/app' and make sure 'system is set to (r/w). Paste the WiFi-Calling.apk in the folder.
Ok..let me try that. Thanks for the info

So you deleted the .apk you tried to back up through TB? I assume you have a SGS 4G along with your A100? And you followed the procedure that was laid out for you?
OH and... hit thanks and I'll keep trying to help you
Just kidding...
There is a chance there is another .apk that needs to go along with the .apk I attached above. I'll take a look or maybe somebody else will read and advise.
Or you may need to reflash... before doing so, unzip the ROM, add the .apk in the appropriate folder, then zip ROM back up, then reflash.
Raver took the libs out. So until the next update just flash back to something else if you really need wifi calling.
Nevermind.
lumin30 said:
Ok... Raver appears to not have taken out the libs. The problem you are having, from what I see, is Raver modified the build.prop.
It appears that the following needs to be added back:
1)Go to /system/build.prop and open using Super Manager or some similar file manager with ROOT permissions.
2) Go to the very BOTTOM of the prop, and add this:
## start GAN-Lite ##
rild.libpath=/system/lib/librilswitch.so
rilswitch.vendorlibpath=/system/lib/libsec-ril.so
rilswitch.ganlibpath=/system/lib/libganril.so
## end GAN-Lite ##
3) In Super Manager hit menu then Save
4) Reoot into recovery and wipe cache & Dalvik Cache just to be safe
5) Reboot and let phone sit 10 mins to rebuild cache
Maybe Raver or somebody else can confirm this fix.

Scratch that... I read the valhilla thread and Raver said "the sim card service for wi fi calling also was removed." So as far as I know if you flash the previous version... rc3.1 it has it in there. That is what I am on and I have it.
He also said in the thread he plans to add it back in the next update.
yeah sorry guys I should have made it clear where I got that from.
hi Guys,
Quick question about my galaxy R
i have a 32 gb card installed in my phone, when i look in storage tab within task manager it says below:
System Storage: 1.97 GB
USB Storage: 3.75 GB
SD Card : 29.70 GB
so when i install a big game (600+ mb) & say move to SD card it is moved to "USB Storage", this restricts me by installing limited games although i have lots of free space on my sd card.
Can anyone pls tell me how do i moce it to SD Card?

oh sorry my bad...
i did extract & select the .tar file (and not apk) within the zip that i downloaded, trust me man i read that guide like 5 times before doing it.
also when it failed for the first time, i re-downloaded the file & retried the whole process but no luck
i had loaded cfw on my psp earlier which worked perfectly but i'm really struggling with this
Please check the file you have donwloaded is not corrupted or broken. If still persisting with the same issue, you can try CWM 5 by Adam77Root.
CWM 5
Procedure is same. But use this CWM tar file in Odin instead of the one you tried earlier.:fingers-crossed:

Try it buddy and after downloading the .tar file, try to open it with winrar, if it says file couldnot b opened or corrupted, then diwnload it again. Sometimes our internet connection stops in between downloading and hence file become corrupted. Try it and its not recovery mode its downloading mode..

I was looking around in the Galaxy S (i9000) dev forums and I cam across found this iOS look-alike Link here. Me being the noob that I am, i thought that it was derived from stock, I was wrong. Thankfully, CWM came up with a build.prop error and stopped me from "bricking" my Infuse.
My question is this: Could anyone possibly help me in porting that rom for our Infuse? I know it's possible and probably super simple to do. This is my first real attempt at doing something for android and plus I need a new "hobby". I already have Notepad++, both roms, and 7-Zip. I just need a Guru, or just anyone who could potentially walk me through this.
Disclaimer: I have super Slow internet speeds...

I think the first place to look would be at your updater-script.
Make sure the device assert is set to our device (infuse4g or sgh-I997) and then work your way down and make sure each file and directory actually exists.
Cwm usually indicates at which command it fails, whether setting permissions, flashing, etc

The guide I followed said "Don't change any symlinks Just change/edit/add permissions , ui_prints , asserts , run_programs , and installing the Kernel" and I did. As I said, CWM shows no errors, just installation aborted, followed by a quick "reboot" of recovery.
EDIT: I realized that I zipped the folder instead of Zipping up the rom contents, and that the script isn't asserting out device. Thanks for the tip. I will reply back with progress.
EDIT 2: After editing the script and rezipping everything, CWM now throws and error (Status 6) and then Installation Aborted.
Thanks,
Magnetboard
Okay, for anyone who wants to help, the ROM I was to port is the i9000 ROM JOI9000. I'm using the compiled CM7 as a base. Every time I make any changes to the updater-script using notepad++, I receive a Error (Status 6) in CWM.

There may be something in the grammar or diction. Even a missing ";" may make a difference. You may even need to start a new file and simply copy and paste the older text over.
Google "status 6" error or "android status 6" or "xda status 6 error"
Okay, Im sorry for not responding, as I had a virus and I had a little too much fun trying out new oses... Im back on windows and Im re-downloading everything right now, I will try to find the grammar mistake if I can, if I can't Ill post the updater-script on here.
EDIT: I used another guide and built the rom using that. After zipping everything up and trying to flash, CWM now throws Error Status 7, and it fails to assert our device. I copied and pasted the CM7 updater-script assert line, and I honestly have no clue where to go, and no clue how to fix this. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Has anyone been able to successfully root this device? Running JB 4.1.1, 1gb ram. I have tried many tools including bin4ry's root guide, to no avail. When using the bin4ry method, I get the elusive "mount: permission denied (are you root?) error." Let me know if you need any additional info from me to assist.

Could you send me your original rom h7100 phone, I lost mine tried rooted.
Thank you very much, sorry my English
I'm desperate, I tried ROOT for Feiteng H7100 and it still fails. I tested with Unlock Root, SuperOneClick, TPSParkyroot, Root with Restore by Bin4ry v18 and none work, this is a great sadness.
Any solution please?
I bought this phone also few days ago and I have been trying to root it as well. What I found is the the system partition is read only and before it can be modified the permission need to be set to rw or read and write, the problem now is how to change the permission without already having root privilege., I have tried everything cannot mount system partition rw. I downloaded few apps from market with now luck. It will need re programming which won't be easy. I am now scared of bricking the phone so I have decided to leave it until more support become available. This is what you get with Chinese phones.
How is your storage working for you? I seems to have 1.6gb of internal storage which I cannot do anything with and getting message that storage is running out when installing new apps.

Sometimes the error ""mount: permission denied (are you root?) error." is related to connection mode. Trying to root a motorola atrix tv, I've managed to root it changing "USB computer connection" mode to "Media device (MTP)". Maybe this procedure can help you. I rooted the phone following the instruction i posted on few days ago, but it is simple process but long winded. I think the best thing to do is use my new boot.img that i created using the instruction, as long as your phone is Feiteng H7100 it should work, that will save you a lot of time, if you want to create one yourself then refer to my earlier post.
if you want you my boot.img the link for it is below:
http://www.4shared.com/zip/m9GUMMt4/New_boot.html
Since rooting the phone i have a back up copy of the stock rom now so if anything goes wrong l can upload it for you.
instruction how to use my boot.img are below:
1. Install usb driver for your phone depending on your operating system, when the phone is plug in to your computer your phone must show as Android adb device in Device Manager thats the only way to know that your usb driver is installed sucessfully.
2. Download MTK flash tool download link is on the instruction posted few days again.
3. Download and extract boot.img to a folder, there will be 2 files, boot file and MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc,
4. Load MTK flash tool and click on scatter-loading button, navigate to folder in point 3, and click on MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc to load, and make sure the only thing that is selected is boot.img and the directory of the boot file is showing as the folder in point 3.
5. Turn of the phone and take battery out, and plug phone to you computer with a usb cable, press Download button, and wait, once the Mtk flash tool has picked up your phone quickly insert you battery, then the phone will be flashed with the new boot.img. once this done the phone is really to be rooted.
6. Turn the phone back on and it should boot as nornal, then plug the phone back to your computer and select MTP mode for usb then root the phone with Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18, if dont already have it, google it, the phone should root without error. Good luck
Hope that helps

Doing the read back does not root your phone its just part of the process. You will need to carry on following the instructions on the pdf file l post ealier. You will not be able to back up your stock rom until phone is properly rooted, there is a tool you need to download to do it, if you refer to the xda forum link on my post few days ago the link to the tool is on there. There is a way of changing the storage size but it's too risky so I have decided to use link2sd app instead from the market it as efficient. There are a lot of information on the forum link a posted few days ago you can check it out. You need to download android kitchen app and cygin app link are on the pdf file. no offence but is it worth that risk??
I was just curious about it so I installed it and have been trying for two hours or so. Not enough time to make conclusions. But I can confirm it is not dangerous (also, if you are on cm, you don't even have to flash from Odin, so you don't touch the radio partition). Picture attached.
Look at the "Versión de banda base" field, which is the baseband. It now says service. Very interesting, thank you!

how do i install the baseband without odin ??? am lil bit confused with it.
Do you use a cm build newer than cm 10 alpha 4?
Then just copy the modem.bin inside this .tar to /radio, change owner to radio:radio and permissions to 655 and reboot.
If, just in case, it didn't work, just move your old modem.bin to /radio again.

Easy, download a file explorer with root permissions, copy your efs backup and paste it over the efs folder in "/" (root folder)
You'll get your IMEI instantly (of course reboot).
If that doesn't work, download a modem.bin that works in your country and do what rodero said

Good to know, I've had some of those mini-heart attacks when my IMEI got erased too, luckily I have a copy of my efs in every disc, every pc and every sd in my house

I ll try to backup my imei using different methods. Hope that will reduce the mini heart attack for me in future
Nope, it is very unlikely that the problem was caused by the modem, its just that, since alpha 4, our device is using an mtd partition layout and Odin uses a bml partition layout, so you probably just screw up your partitions.

The issue remains almost the same.
I need this network drop issue to be solved because of it am missing many important calls daily.
