Why does this happen?
When ever i delete a file, the systemui simply force closes and loads back after a moment.

May be a bug. Which rom?
I'm using stock deodexed rom. This bug existed even on the stock odexed rom.

i never faced this issue. i hv used both stock and deodexed one. may be some another app is messing with your system.
What could it be
I have no idea..
Im just using xposed framework with a couple of modules..
I tried disabling Xposed framework and the bug still exists.
So, it's something apart from Xposed.

I have a rooted nexus 5 running CM11. I kept getting this message before and I didn't know why so I posted here and someone told me to wipe my data so I did. That fixed the problem for about 2 weeks but it's back again. It happens so frequently now its very frustrating. It happens when I open an app, update an app or uninstall an app. Not every time but most frequently when updating. Why is this happening?! Please help and thanks in advance!
Just reflash your ROM or flash a different ROM and your problem should be fixed

Do you use Xposed or any theme mods? Probably something like that causing it.
As spinninbsod said, just dirty flash your ROM again or clean flash a new one.

Ok I'll try reflashing. And yes I have xposed and around 10 mods.

Cool, just make sure none of the mods are trying to do the same thing, like change battery icon etc.
If you're reflashing ROM it also might be worth taking a fresh back up before reactivating Xposed, just to save reflashing if something ***** up again

I think its XBLAST TOOLS that's giving me the problems. I don't get that error until I open the app.

Ok that's a good start. Can you remember what you were using it to do? There's probably a similar settings in XGEL or Gravity Box.

As soon as I open xblast I get the error. I just uninstalled it and I'm trying gravity box now to see if it was just xblast. And what do you mean what I was using?

Prior to your problems, were you using XBlast to do anything specific like changing statusbar or something like that?

Yes. I had like everything enabled. I changed things in the status and notification bar and I also did stuff to my lock screen and a few other tweaks.

You can change all that stuff in GravityBox and XGEL so might be best to just use those instead
Due to an update of an Xposed module, I had badly corrupted my systemui. The phone was totally unusable, and I could only press the OK button notifying the stopped event at startup.
Lucky me, I still had not updated to 4.4.3. Via Skipsoft Android Toolkit I updated to the last Android release, and my systemui got fixed. I did not choose to perform a complete wipe, so I actually maintained my previous apps. In relation to root, I did not loose it, but I had to reinstall SuperSU to get the non-official apps working again.
I hope this helps somebody else in my same condition, with no need to do a system wipe!
thank you. this helped me today.
woke up with the error. assuming its gravitybox and xblast causing an issue. will remove xblast.

Xposed does not actually "touch" or change SystemUI in any way. Xposed puts a couple of "files" in system which allows intercepted commands to be changed, without changing the actual code.
When you updated the ROM via a toolkit (PLEASE don't use toolkits by the way) you would have overwritten these Xposed files.
The simplest fix is to just remove the Xposed files

anyone else have a problem with the camera app freezing on 4.4.3? Tried multiple roms and kernels with full wipes between them and still have the problem. The app freezes about a half second after opening.

no problems here. have you tried clearing the data for the camera app?
Nope. Works fine here. Maybe try a different camera app to rule out the camera itself.
thank you for the replies. If I uninstall the update and use the old stock camera it works fine. Its the Google camera that causes it to freeze. Last night the Google camera was working fine but when I woke up it would freeze.

Well the issue isn't the Google camera app since its not a widespread issue with people. Something else is causing it.
Camera Freeze

I did a factory reset and clean install of 4.4.3 Kit Kat and now my camera is freezing also. Was working fine before with OTA 4.4.3.
Now when I first open the camera app, it opens and the app freezes for about 5-10 seconds then starts working. I've removed updates from the camera app which rolls it back to the old Nexus 5 camera app which works fine. As soon it is update to the new Google camera app, starts freezing again. I used Titanium backup to install all of my old apps, so Im assuming something happened there. Wish I knew of a way to fix without having to wipe out my phone and start all over.

Having the same issue here..!
I noticed it the first time when the new camera was introduced (so for the last 2 releases), means also with 4.4.2!
Also for me, when I remove the updates everything is fine.
When I updated to 4.4.3 I reset my phone before (completely) so I assume wiping doesn't fix it?!
I'm nervous to say anything because I might jinx it, but it hasn't froze in a few days now.
For those wondering, stock rom and kernel, xposed installed but no new mods.

Same here - Exposed installed, stock and rooted, but nothing other than that. Unfortunately, mine is still freezing.
Right, same here: stock ROM (rooted) with Xposed (for App ops and Dynamic Navbar mod)...
Maybe something with Xposed?!
Hi, I am running Franco kernel #53, Carbon rom 4.4.3, Xposed framework and Greenify. After I install the kernel, it immediately breaks 5 of my apps, and I have to reboot and reinstall them, but that is a tiny problem. The more annoying one is every time I change my wallpaper the device soft reboots.I have tested and found that it hasn't anything to do with the undervolting. This wasnt happening with the stock kernel.
Suggestions?
I've heard wallpapers getting changed after a reboot, but it's the first time I'm seeing a device getting rebooted after changing the wallpaper
Backup Xposed and remove it, restart your phone and then try changing the wallpaper?? May be one of the modules is conflicting with it??

Nope, Xposed isn't the problem either. As soon as I install franco's kernel the reboots occur. Maybe the rom has changed something and became incompatible..... maybe I should just wait for the next kernel version.
Alright, did a clean install and everything is fine.

Good to hear that!
I don't know if this is due to the ROM (one of newest CM11 nightlies) or what, but while everything works somewhat fine in normal mode, it keeps force closing system ui in Safe Mode to the point where I can't use it at all.

Is there any way to be able to launch safe mode without system ui FCs in CM? Or should I just go ahead and flash a different ROM?

Download Link
Kernel included: Stock Samsung 3.10.61-4349716
Install using TWRP nothing has been done to it yet other than root and zipalign.
This is fully functional rom for the OE2 release. OE2 does not fix the RAM leak so far just dropped calls fix and added more bloat.
I will be working on debranding this rom as well but for now here is a 100% stock base.
Thanks @amoamare. Your hard work is appreciated brother!

Nope left it 100 percent. Ocf and 0e2. No go. If a rom is deodexed data does not work on these phones. No baseband. Assume it is cdma related
Ok, I just got done with deodexing right now and i'm going to wipe and install. Ill post the results and the ZIP if its working.

How did it go?
Had some permission issues on the apks after deodexing, then had to cook dinner and stuff. I have about 30 mins now so i'm rebuilding it with corrected permissions. Not sure why it lost them the first time around.

I've clean flashed all roms on our threads and it fc's during setup on all
We should copy all related files to fingerprint on our current working Fingerprint APK and overwrite the one from these roms. Question is where is the fingerprint app data stored?

Priv app I haven't tried mine but I have tried some replacements from lbxmobbin
Is that the sole location for everything fingerprint related? I would try your current working Fingerprint APK and see if that works. Maybe I'll try that myself when I have a chance

Yea I may give it a try later
I dirty flashed this on top of my stock rooted and the fingerprint issue is a real PITA! I even tried overwriting the priv-app folder but that didn't help. I'm not even able to go into security settings to change the lock screen. it keeps FC on me
I just flashed the the custom kernel and my fingerprint... started working again
Yea I hear that's the fix
Hey guys. here's native call recording if anyone wants it. Just push to system/csc and set perms to rw-r-r.
