Hello,
Cut to the case. I have a Plug Force which is hardware the same as Onda v972. Unfortunatly for Plug is avaiable only 4.2.2 from middle of 2012.
So what I want is to port Onda v972 rom to Plug Force
I tried flash Onda rom, it works, but screen calibration is way off. Left is right, up is down, lol. I repacked img with bootloader from Plug, but that not work... It was strange, because even boot logo stays the same, maybe I made something wrong?
I have stock rom for Plug.
Could you someone help me how to do it or point some topics? What I found about porting was for CM as base which I don't have it, only stock.
Thanks in advance,
Mark

I have a WM8850-MID device from China for 6 months. It runs very fast for a single core cortex A9 WM8850 and a super fast Mali400 GPU.
I run into problem when I copy some files into the internal SD card. I un-mount the card and shut down normally. Now it won't boot. It is stuck on the first stage of boot with the sparkling ice-cream sandwich. This step should take a few second and goes on to filling the ice-cream sandwich.
Booting into recovery with the power and volume + does not help. The recovery just reboot automatically but does not fix the boot looping problem.
Not sure copying files getting the disk too full preventing temporary files creation. Please help if anyone has a solution.
it boots up now but...
I found techknow forum has a wm8850 firmware. Out of desperation, I flashed it to my tablet. Now my tablet boots up but will not respond to any touch. The power button works. The volume button looks working, can't hear any sound. The gravity senor is 90 degree off. Where can I find the right firmware?
Please help
This is my tablet looks
It has no button. It has camera, power and volume on the top. On the side, mic, sd card, mini hdmi, mini usb and charging port from top down. Please help if you have my tablet.

I asked the seller and searching all over the web but no success.
I also asked other sellers currently selling it. They don't have stock firmware either.
Anyone has it please upload and share a link.
Thanks.

you might be screwed then buddy
After rooting and getting CWM recovery 5.5.0.4 installed, a display issue has cropped up on my new BLU Elite 3.8.
It is hard to describe the problem and my keyword choices have not resulted in a match in our forums: screen flicker, auto-dim/auto-brightnes, jumping screen. I will post a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyv-IRd2iqk&feature=plcp.
The issue is easily reproduced. It manifests itself only if you selected Reboot. The issue stops while plugged into a pc-connected cable, but not if usb is only plugged into wall. The moment you unplug, it flickers again. The flickering occurs on all screens except when in app-drawer. I also get flickering when I use ROM Manager to reboot into recovery (i.e. the cwm recovery menu is flickering, but not scrolling).
The only workaround is to Power Off, then turn on the phone on.
So, this leads me to my questions: 1) what is so differerent between reboot vs a cold start? 2) why would connecting the phone to a pc temporarily stop it? 3) any suggestions for a solution?
Thank you.

My wife has the blu elite and i was looking at the development page for the karbonn A9 because that phone is basically the same device with different branding and it has a development page with various roms. If you run out of options then u could try one of those roms as LAST resort. Let me know how it goes and give me a thumbs up if this helps.

I already tried other roms for Karbonn A9. The problem has worsened now that a simply power off and on will not fix the problem. The only time the screen stops blinking is when I plug in the USB cable. The screen even flickers when I am in recovery mode.
Would it be possible for you to share rom dumps from your wife's Blu Elite? I am thinking I may need to restore the boot, recovery and system partitions.

It seems like you're stuck with a bricked, cheap tablet. have a look online on methods to factory reset, involving 'fastboot'. otherwise, have a look at buying a better, more reliable tablet next time e.g a nexus 7, which is a little bit pricier, but one of the best tablets on the market and very, very cheap for its specs.
Sorry
is there a way to unbrick the tablet? or is it imposible?

I don't think so- not in my experience anyway. Just look at the method I outlined for you that could help (maybe)
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
livesuit flash the factory firmware
Just use the livesuit process to flash original firmware into the device.
Hello, noob here and like most I've got myself in bit of a trouble. My phone isn't bricked or anything but due to some reason it won't charge when it is turned off, it turns on automatically. Battery life and charging is just fine however it is a little annoying that is doesn't stay powered down when i want to charge it turned off. My phone is a mtk 6589 phone with stock jb 4.1.2 With clock work mod and and custom logo.bin file which i flashed using boot logo creator. Is there anyway i can get it back to work normal? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Thats normal in the latest Mediatek SoC's. (MT6589, etc)

We're you able to fix this? I flashed logo.bin on my Asus memo pad HD 7 (
MT8125) and now it won't stay off while charging. It just reboots. Before I flashed logo.bin it worked as expected (displaying a battery charging thing but not turning on.) Thanks
EDIT: Superdragon said this is normal for mediatek chips but I swear not even 2 days ago this tablet could charge while powered off. Plus the logo.bin has like 30 different battery images in it. Ones that I've actually seen on the screen while powered off. I'm gonna try flashing back to stock.
EDIT2: I flashed back my original logo.bin but that didn't change the boot on USB plugged in thing. After returning completely to stock, with stock preloader, problem is resolved. Maybe this is a side effect of different preloader used for unlocked bootloader, custom recovery, etc.?
EDIT3: flashed logo.bin again, this time with stock preloader, and everything's gravy. Something is def. funky with the different preloader.
ive got a tf300t with CROMI-X rom, rooted of course, i was using it yesterday, had no problems with it.plugged it in, charged it overnight, and now the acreen doesnt turn on, but i think its working because when i plug it in and un plug it, it makes the sounds i have it set to make when i do so. ive held the power button down for 1 full minute, and it doesnt turn off. what is the problem???
So what I understand is that you installed CROMI-X rom on your TF300. If you press the buttons or you charge your tablet, you hear the sounds. So: your tablet is on.
What I would do: uncharge your tablet wait until your tablet goes off because of the zero battery level. Then charge your tablet again and restore the original version of your TF300T when you bought it (here, I guess).
Then make sure you have the correct everything (drivers ...) installed.
I read this at the topic:
YOU MUST BE ON JB 4.2.1 WITH THE ASUS STOCK BOOTLOADER 10.6.1.8 AND TWRP patched 2.4.4.0 or BOOTLOADER 10.6.1.15.3, 10.6.1.27.1, 10.6.1.27.5 or 10.6.2.x and TWRP 2.5.0.0 BEFORE FLASHING THIS. THE BEST WAY TO DO THIS IS TO FLASH THE STOCK ASUS 10.6.1.27.5 or 10.6.2.x FIRMWARE.

If your 100% sure you have the correct bootloader, TWRP, firmware and drivers: reflash the CROMI-X rom.
I'm pretty sure there are other ways to fix this problem, but this is the only way I would do it.

Fixed the problem!!
thanks for the replys! i thought about it and i was told these had tight display cables and may unplug at any given time. i took the back cover off and the display cable was half out. i pushed it back in and now it works!! thanks for the help!
