Skype video call finally working on Samsung galaxy sl gti9003(links)

Hi guys finally back and front camera is working and video call is going awesome on the firmware
DDKp2/ddkp3 (rooted) simply install the patched skype and update it !!!! Enjoy !!

Edit - Just read 2nd post. Says front cam only.
Anyway not working with front cam. I tried with both.

The person on the other side must also have a camera. install the patched version and then update it via market!

What? Yea he has. I can see his vid. He can't see mine.
Whoa! Update? Wouldn't there be an error?
And even if there isn't, wouldn't it mean installing market one itself when we update?

Market Skype will only update apk not Skype library files so,new market Skype would be running old patched library files!
If there is a further problem send me your kenral and rom details!

The caller can see your video?

if you want a tested and working version of skype for 9003 just googling a file called Skypev13ogl.apk
this is not last version but the one before, and this has a patch for rotating issue.

Yes, I have tested between my i9003 and a iPhone 3GS. And the guy with the iPhone can see me. Not tested yet with a computer, but I think it doesn't change.

I have used that. Atleast the video calling worked for me unlike others, but had rotating issue.
And now if i'm trying to use it, it fcs and then wifi stops working. Wifi error. Same with market skype.
Only this skype works, though the caller cant see my video

Which rom are u on whatz your kenral??

Hi Guys,
I have fixed the headphone problem for custom ROMs.the Files are attached below
HowTo
Download the files
copy both files to root of SDCARD (Boot.img_flasher_V2.0_faqbly_2.zip and boot.img)
Reboot To recovery
choose the zip file from SDCARD (Boot.img_flasher_V2.0_faqbly_2.zip)
reboot phone
Enjoy Headphone Sound

I dont remember the version.
It can run on all Roms.tested it on creed's rom and is working.you can install this on all roms which has problem with headphone

What exactly is changed?

I don't get it...what headphone problem?I never heard that any custom rom have headphone issues. my custom rom is also works fine.

Creeds rom 2.0 have headphone problem .when you flash it your headphone will not work.also if you flash other roms over it the headphone will not work on that roms also.this is the fix for the problem

no, for now this rom is for stock hboot only (250MB on /system)

FM Radio not working, getting automatic close after opening with stock headset.

As it is using Nikez ROM which is already doing very good job, to be CM compliant i would expect to include themes, disk management in the settings.

What excactly did you change to the base of Nikez rom?

First time after installing it took some time to load, but after installing some stuff and reboot of phone not working. I am trying to reboot now and see.

After reboot it had two closes then it is working good.

In which way is it more stable? I'm running nikez P7 and it's stable as hell, so please explain the gain in stability.

voice is too low in KK help!!!!!

I have installed CM11 with TZ4.1-R2 kernel.
the sound of incomining and outgoing calls are very low to hear in earpiece speaker...
i am struggling in hearing the speech of other..
can anyone help me how to increase the sound in earpiece.....

This is strange.I use the same build (cm11 and thunderzap) when i make it.And now its work without problems on my own kernel.
Im sure that all of the 4.4 roms use the same file,because they all are based on sony source... Try again if you want,other way go back to the original one

downloading the Rom... will check and edit the post here of my findings
Flashed the Rom without Gapps, ROM is Fast and Smooth, Camera doesnt work, no FC on the Rom yet, Reverting back to SVHD.... All the best...

Sorry man, I really wish I could work on the rom still, but the rest of the issues would require some more in-depth trouble-shooting. In order to do that I'd need to have a device to work with.
