im guessing audio will be partially borked in this as there are changes in gerrit that are not merged yet, and without proper workaround (found in earlier states of doubleshot repos, and teamds repos) gtalk chat and g+ hangout will be having audio issues.
I am still testing what works and what doesn't I am new to this device. I'll add the link to gaaps in a bit. Tbalden is 100% about the audio
Issues. Thank you for that answer. I know tp wake works which is nice.

Been running this since you posted it in the CM9 thread. Didn't full wipe when coming from Alpha 4 and I can say it's running just fine. Same bugs as Alpha 4, which I expected. Haven't noticed much of a difference at all actually but my battery life has sucked since rooting (damn you stock, I guess you are good for SOMETHING) so I keep flashing away hoping that it will improve. It may just be my imagination (or the fact that the battery is just getting more calibrated) but I have been noticing improvements from update to update. Thanks for putting these "nightlies" out there. There is definitely a place and purpose for teams testing their releases first but one of the reasons I root my phones is so I can get the first fruits and be a tester
I don't have plans to kang this, but I'm intrigued to see what people can come up with. Coming from the Glacier, I am still getting used to the comparatively low development for this device. (That's not necessarily a bad thing, 3 different devs releasing the same compiled AOKP is pretty redundant anyways.)
Thanks again.

It's Pig Latin for Gank. You know, when you take something with out asking. It's just a term given to builds based of source with out any changes. If it had mods, and other goodies it wouldn't be a kang. Then you can kang other peoples work by just changing something a simple as the buld.prop. Kang is used for a lot of things. When I see Kang next to CM9/AOSP/AOKP/MIUI. It's normally good, but a Kang of a stock Rom. Those tend to be stolen work.
Also Kanging is the act of having sex with cankles.

Hello all!
My name is Kyler, aka MBQsniper.. and I present to you..
Unofficial Carbon!
Features:
-All Carbon features based off the latest build
-Linaro optimized
-Built from source
Information:
I will be trying my best to make nightly builds, or bi-nightly. I will be collaborating with multiple users, to make this an ever-evolving project. I will be editing multiple apps every update, so it will not be the same basic ROM every time. I will be cherry-picking features that I find important, or useful. And listening to you guys (The users). I want to say thank you to the entire Carbon team for all they do, and for keeping their work open source so people like me can compile it and build as I wish. I have zero intention to steal any attention away from their ROM, and am doing this for the fun of it. Again, thank you to the entire Carbon team for what they have done for this device, and all the devices they develop for.

Does this fix the signal issue that i guess all aosp roms has? or at least carbon rom has? cause i work i would only get 1-2 bars of lte, when with other roms i can get solid 3 bars and sometimes 4.

So I think the proper question is when you say other roms do you mean other AOSP roms or stock based roms. I believe that AOSP roms report your signal differently from stock and your signal is always going to look weaker on AOSP. You should compare actual numbers(dbm I think) to see if there is really a difference.

The only problem is when in low signal areas it can be flaky. Otherwise signal strength is identical to TouchWiz, just uses different numbers in determining the amount of bars to display. Samsung likes to cheat so naturally they'll make your signal look great when it actually isn't. Look at the numbers under signal strength in settings -> about phone -> status.

MBQSniper so far this has been stable . No issues or anything it's also super smooth. I just flashed this and the inverted Gapps in your OP. Thanks mate.:good:
What rom do you thinks is the fastest or most stable rom for the infuse better if it is both i dont care if it it jb or gb i just want it to be very stable like stock
IMO, PAC has all I need. Tried all custom roms for infuse 4g, Felt comfortable from the minute I flashed it.
You should try all the roms to see which suit your expectation/needs. YMMV
Give all Roms a try, I agree with him!
Hope this help if some Roms only have goo.im downloads! these are all Mirrors for JB roms

As stated OP, just try for yourself and test for yourself.

Just wanted to let you guys know about a beanstalk build I found on goo. It's from 11-24 but it does have a handful of features some of you may be missing. So far so good for me.
Edit. Feel free to discuss you're luck, feelings, and how things are going for whatever KitKat build you're running at the moment.
I'm mainly concerned with builds like Slim, Carbon, OSE, and (Any builds LOL) that have built in settings for customizing everything under the sun. I know most everything can be done with xposed. And I've had no trouble with Xposed, but I'm just looking for roms out there that have this stuff baked in.
Thanks to all the dev's for bringing KitKat to the S3 so quickly. It's hasn't been long, and I know many Rom Groups are waiting until they can incorporate their feature set and get things stable, but the CM builds from Spencer and DMeadows have been nothing but solid for me. I just miss a lot of the little stuff. As one user suggested Gravity for Xposed works great, I just didn't want to go this route if possible.
Thanks guys for sharing all that you have to this point. I hope no one is mad or offended at me posting these things.. Everyone should know they could blow up your phone like the death star blew up alderan.

Where might I find that? I'd like to find a slim carbon or liquid. Anything that has net speed in the status bar. I know slim doesn't have that but it's still slick.
As far as this build. I didn't leave it on long because it lacked the ability to change the toggles. It did have some features that Spencer and meadows didn't have. But also lacked that one I mentioned earlier.
Guess I'm going to have to do some searching.... and see what else is out there.

Since development on Cataclysm Rom has stopped I was wondering which roms Cataclysm Rom orphans are switching to ? I cant decide between Chroma and PureNexus
Chroma is great Pure NExus is also good. Give them both a go and pick one. I stuck with Chroma for a couple days and it was solid.
Maybe Atl4ntis will post his mod in some other way, when new source is out...
why you need to switch it now ?!
i have strong belief that Atl4ntis will come up with new mod when new factory image will arrive...he won't punish tons of loyal users just because of few morons ! :fingers-crossed:
so just have faith and wait ( if you don't have any other reason to switch the rom ,i personally don't find any reason to ditch cataclysm as of now )
what happened? Can you link me to the post, please?
I use the latest PureNexus ROM with ElementalX kernel. Very smooth and functional Android Experience. Battery is also not bad with about 5h Screen-On Time. (2G, WiFi, Messenger, Tapatalk, Feedly, Spotify)

A link has already been posted.
I haven't had any issues with the Jan 5 Stable version, so I don't plan on going anywhere.

It's on atl4ntis's android file host directory.
It's a shame that on xda, developers gets so frustrated by the community to leave it every month. I would lock the thread as read only and just post links, to report bug there could be just a thread in general section

Well, cataclysm is most stable rom around.
CM nightlies are not really stable (nobody expects so), and other ROMs which are mashups of all commits "dev" managed to merge can't be stable.
does someone have tried to flash catalysm 5.jan mod to stock MMB29Q?
Such a shame Cataclysm has disappeared. I enjoyed using it when I tried it last year. Well, I'm on stock unrooted as always these days. I like custom ROMs and the idea behind it, but seamless updates and mostly stability sway me in the direction of stock.

yes you can use Jan 5 mod on 29Q.
Is anyone staying on Cataclysm or jumping ship?

Staying. Until android N. Or if there will be significant changes in between but I doubt there will be.

I too am a Cataclysm orphan. I came across this thread, and am surprised I didn't see a link to the thread linked below. It is a great initiative by @magnamentis and @ben_pyett to create a support thread for users who want to keep using Cataclysm and help each other.

CataclysmMOD can indeed be flashed over Google's February Stock images, and possible later monthly Google Stock images as well.
It is quite remarkable that a ROM with such a rich feature set and so many customizations, no to mention rock solid stability, has been reduced to such a tiny mod (just 13 files plus the kernel) which can be flashed over stock images!
