Hi
I have checked the ROMs list, but it is not clear if I can flash any Samsung Galaxy S SL ROM to a Galaxy S SCL device.
I don't want to start a flame topic, but I would like to know which ROM would work with the SCL device and I am also looking for a stable not experimental ROM between Android 4.1 - 4.3
Any advice?
Thanks
Sl & Scl are the same.( Gt i9003 )

Thanks for the clarification.
I thought there are some hardware/software differences (partition table, drivers, etc) and it is not safe to flash with SL ROMs. It's not clear then way is named differently. So it is 100% safe to flash with SL ROM ?
dumb

No. Don't try to take any roms, themes from i9000. You'll get soft bricked phone (if you will reflash boot with i9000 you'll get full bricked phone). This devices are very different. They have different CPU, GPU, chipset, screen, battery, case... Almost everything except name and samsung logo.
Hello guys
I am new to this forum, though I have some experience in its contents
I was wondering, what would happen if I became adventurous and flashed i9100 ROM for i9003? I noticed that most of custom firmwares; especially the ICS ones of MIUI (v4) and CM (CM9), continually support the i9100 model. I just wonder would the drivers get conflicts, as i9100 has Exynos CPU, which is different from i9003?
If someone tried, please share the results.
Thank you.
the only thing that would happen is that your phone will become unusable completely...
The i9003 and i9100 are two totally separate devices with separate hardware inside. The i9100 has an Exynos CPU, i9003 has an TI Omap. The i9100 has a Mali 400, i9003 have a PowerVR 530. Don't be adventurous by flashing an S2 or any other rom on the i9003 except ones made for it. It's a pretty general rule: DON'T flash other devices roms onto your phone, you'll end up with a fancy paperweight

Well, If you do that, Your phone would magically turn into an expensive paper-weight.
Just, Dont flash ANYTHING you find outside the I9003 section on your SL.

Ok. Here is it. I have seen a stable build of Galaxy S2 GT-I9100G, REMEMBER IS (G)!!!! Don't reply me with the answer of S2 without the G, I'm asking the[G] Version. So the stable build was here http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=i9100g&type=stable for the [Direct Download: cm-9.1.0-i9100g.zip ] So i wondering if it really stable and safe. So, here the Question.
1ST:Is it safe to flash? Will it brick? Worth it? And what Android version IS IT?
2ND:Is this CWM Good, Working, and Safe to flash? So, i'm giving 2 link, (Not downloaded from here)=http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1631934 and i found these word=This is a kernel including ClockworkMod Recovery for use on Samsung roms.
Don't use this kernel on aosp based roms like CyanogenMod!!!) And this link is where i'm downloaded the CWM and flashed it, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1683800 because of GT-I9100G_LP7_ClockworkMod-Recovery_5.5.0.4 it make me think it is the same from the first link i gave that have LP7 hacked, and i wonder it will it be also not support cynogenmod.
3RD: If the CWM at STEP 2 is not supported, What CWM that is work for SAMSUNG GALAXY S2 GT-I9100G and Flash able to cynogenmod with not PROBLEM!
4ST: Anyone have this on their Galaxy S2 GT-I9100G? Is everything WORKING FINE? Is the Performance and Battery Good?
5ST: Do i need to factory reset the phone before and after? And can anyone tell me the step if you can?
My phone is rooted and my battery is so bad and i wonder is this rom good for battery and performance. I'm afraid of bricking my phone because of the CWM. I installed cwm on galaxy 5 and it died. So This is important information to me. and PLEASE ANSWER ALL MY QUESTION CAREFULLY!
Dear Moderator or OP, Please Delet the same post i posted at general in Galaxy S2 Gt-i9100 forum.

U can flash any ROM u want, unless the ROM owner explicitly specifies a different kernel.
I experienced that some special ROMs aren't working with siyah, but the popular ones like CM, AOKP, PA and MIUI will be compatible.

Any rom you flash will have a kernel packaged with the rom so you don't have to worry about compatibility with the initial flash. Should you decide on a different kernel with that rom then you check for compatibility between desired kernel amd rom

Hi! GRIFFdroid here!
So I have a question (in the title, but here is a more elaborated part...
So, I've flashed Hygo's N7000 rom (link will be at the bottom part) into my Samsung Korean Note SHV-E160L and so, I am wondering if I can flash N7000 Roms into my phone. So can I?
OT: Also, when I want to FLASH a new rom, should I go back to the stock rom or is it not neccessary?
Thanks in advance! ☺
