Hello guys!
I bought a Moto G XT1033 because was cheaper, but I use only one sim card.
I want to be, if anybody know how disable or hide the second sim card icon in the notification bar.
I tried commenting the line persist.multisim.config=dsds in the build.prop file, the icon hide in the task manager, the sim card manager hide, but any sim card dont work, and them I uncomment the line and both sim card work again.
Thanks
PS: Sorry for my poor english.

After erasing this line, flash fsg.mbn from single sim firmware (not USA) and erase modemst1 and modemst2 partitions. Will work. =)

The sim does not recognize the mobile
Do you require international decoded
When you run the mobile without sim show me this letter :
"A sim card is needed to operate this phone. please turn off your phoneand insert your sim card"
I hope help.
got a solution ?
I am new to all this flashing firmware to Android phones,
and wanted to ask, if it is possible to have as I understand reading this
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xz-premium/help/ee-uk-volte-t3625010
amss_fsg_maple_hutch_uk_volte_vowifi_tar.mbn flashed onto the G8142 - dual SIM version to get access to Band 20?
I can see that 3UK still offers the phone "single SIM - G8141"
http://www.three.co.uk/Sony/Xperia_XZ_Premium
My Phone Software Version is:
1306-8501_47.1.A.12.119
Current Modem Config:
/system/etc/customization/modem/amss_fsg_maple_dsds_tar.mbn
first you must confirm your phone card slot are dual sim card slot ,you can buy a dual sim version card slot and put it in your single sim version,i have tested ,my xzp is single sim card but i
found it sd card slot is a dual purpose card slot. i recommend you flash oreo dual sim version firmware and unlock your phone, root. modified the system build.prop ,find "persist.radio.apm_sim_not_pwdn=1" change the"1"to"0",restart your phone and dual sim will work with SDcard together

Hi @7evenfone
As this thread suggest,
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-xz/how-to/dual-sim-sd-card-one-t3475651
it does not work .... You can not use 2 SIM cards and SD card together ....
Anyway, my question is about using my dual G8142 with 2 SIM cards (3UK Slot1 and VodafoneCZ Slot2) "no SD Card" on Band 20 = 800Mhz network with my 3UK SIM and therefore being able to make VoLTE calls and possibly Wi-Fi calling instead of their ThreeIn Touch app that sucks ...
Hi guys I have a Nubia z11, this phone is Dual Sim and i need of both sim slots populated in order to receive calls on both numbers. If the second slot is populated i lose the chance to insert the Sd card. I have an application that needs the sd card to work beacuse it search some files configuration in the sd. What can i do? Is there a possibility to emulate another slot card?
I also tried to decompile apk file of the application but i cant find any path to change in order to give the app a new path in the internal storage.
Thanks!
I'm using quite an old Note FE based ROM on my S7, and I'd quite like to switch to one of the NFE ROMs that's been updated more recently, either black diamond or superleggera.
Neither of these ROMs are patched to allow using two SIM cards and a SD card at the same time, using the method where you remove the chip from the SIM card and glue it to the bottom of the SD card.
Is there a patch that can be flashed as a ZIP file that would work on these ROMs?
Or a set of instructions for modifying the ROM so as the hybrid slot will read a SD and SIM at the same time?

Yes, it was possible on older versions of the stock ROM, then Samsung changed it so as it gives you a warning that there's something stuck in the tray, and you can't do anything until you remove it.
It's definitely possible to modify a custom ROM to allow it, as the one I'm currently running, lightROM, lets me do it.

The only way to change SIM number is to change the SIM card itself.

Even if you did find a way to change the SIM number, it would probably make your device lose service and network connectivity.
