Hi!
My neighbour asked me to root his phone. I tried with some tutorials who told me to use SuperOneClick. But I have some problem with USB debugging. It just don't show any information on status bar about it though I turned it on in settings.
Later neighbour said that there was something done with soft of this phone. He don't know anything about it and in service papers are written only that the soft was changed. I tried to find in phone info is the ROM or kernel correct but everything seems ok.
Can you help me with this?
There are several detailed root processes for this device in the sl i9003 forum. Just search it, read the comments and you ll be ready to do root

But other methods are about flashing PDA file and I'm scared of doing that becouse I don't know anything about soft that the service installed (also I broke some phones while doing that). I will be greatful if you give me solution for my problem with USB debugging

Send it in, you should probarly get a free replacrment, and if you're rooted, dont say a thing bout it, just tell them ur phone went out of power, and you cant turn it on again. If they ask about rooting, whats that??

been searching everywhere for answers or what to do but nothing yet =/
I hope this is ok to post here, if not please let me know. Has anyone had any recent success rooting their phone through SOC? I've used it in the past to root my SD4G using the guide, but for some reason every time I try now I make it to "waiting for device" and it stops responding. I've tried using the different versions of it, different USB cables, different computers, different driver downloads, and I'm stuck. I've searched high and low the past 4 days trying to find an answer that works for me from all the posts with the same problem, but haven't had any luck. Thanks in advance
i sure did now i use unlock root works perfectly

Oops, I didn't realize he was using a S3.
Which S3 are you using? If so then find the right forum for that phone for that carrier.

sorry my bad
didnt know galaxy s had LTE ... sorry again
I was nervous to post this but then again, better to at least ask and to know than to let fear keep me in the dark (so to speak). So, the thing is this. i am trying to root my samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 wifi only which is 4.1.1 (GT-P3113) UECLK7 but i stumbled on a problem. Yes, huge thanks to Mr. Chainfire for giving us CF-Auto_Root, but when i put my tab in download mode, there was no blue status bar showing any progress, but it ended up saying
1. that i dont have OMAP4430 Driver installed and
2. that i dont have samsung usb driver installed.
i dont understand why and was wondering if anyone could please tell me how to fix this? and where can i find this OMAP4430 driver and samsung usb driver too? ive searced through google so much looking for this OMAP4430 driver till my eyes started burning. i really would appreciate the help. sincerely.

Hi, I am having the same problem with a Samsung Tab 2 7.0 GT-P3110 (wi-fi only). Could you please let me know where you were able to find the right driver?
Same, I can't get it to connect.

Install Samsung Kies, which will install the drivers for you. Then you can uninstall Kies unless you think you'll use it.
Sorry if i seem a bit curious but what was it after all, because you didn't cleared that up and what was it that it dose in the Android OS?! I ask this because i recently switched to Android 4.1 on tablet. Also why do you need to root a Samsung Tab? I know they have enough internal memory and if not an SD card will solve it.

Except if you want to use the external for apps one would need to be rooted. It is also good for using bloatware blockers and many other apps which require root access. It gives one more control over his/her device. Which is most of the fun of having an android device, IMO.

True, on a rooted device you can install non-market apps and if you have enough knowledge in Android modding and courage you can put more customized ROM-s.
The drawback : loose the client warantee from the producer.

I just found my Ultra and I can't remember the pattern lock. It doesn't give me the option to log in by gmail account and says that it will factory reset and delete all my files after 2 more incorrect tries. Any help getting through? >: I' searched through other threads, but for the methods I saw you either need an sd card port or drivers for the phone and I have neither Dx
Thank you!
I would say flash the original software on it. Do some research first tho
