Hello,
a long time ago I've found this app (it was called AnyShare then) and would like to share it with You.
So what it does?
It's a file sending program that uses WIFI.
It's unique, because it's available for Android, iOS, Windows and it automatically makes a WIFI hotspot and other user can easily connect, without manually selecting the access point and entering the password. Just click the receiver and it's done.
It's even more convenient than bluetooth and the tranfer speed is depending only from the devices.
I've experienced transfer rate that has almost reached 4MB/s.
I think the android requirements are 2.3+
It has also some other functions, but try them Yourself.
And finally it's available in english for PC's
Here's the download link for all the platforms: kc.lenovo.com
Below are some screenshots (connected phone with PC).
The way it looks on the phone:

Go to www.dropbox.com
Or you can do it for free by getting Google Music and never sync again. Plus doubletwist desktop app is very buggy and is very prone to crashes.
I can attest to the doubletwist desktop app sync being buggy. I found it unusable.
I haven't found it that buggy but it is slow. It seems to take almost twice as long to move files about using it instead of cables . I only really use it if I can't be bothered to fetch a cable.
Kinda useless with the b0rked picture links. Cannot you just use attachments?
Mac version of doubletwist is fine for me. Never had any issue. I no longer us it though, instead I use isyncr

SnapPea lets you sync your apps, videos and files with all your Android devices right from the desktop and with full control too.
With devices getting smarter and WiFi connectivity getting faster there is practically no need to connect your device to the computer every time you need to sync files and folders on your Android device. Today there are applications available that can take away all your syncing troubles. Although most file transfer facilities are available and handy via the cloud, tasks like music and multimedia transfers are better done in the conventional ways.
Rather than struggling with wires and device permissions users can simplify the task of syncing their computer and Android device with the SnapPea application. SnapPea allows Windows PC based users to seamlessly control and sync their Android mobile device without any hassle. The application is available absolutely free of cost and can be installed on any Windows operating system for controlling and syncing data between the computer and an Android device.

WiFive
Wi-Fi chat
Let the social be with you.
Launch WiFive application and immediately start chatting with whose who is using it too within your Wi-Fi network. No Internet needed. Also, there is no need to set up a server. Simple, eh?
But of cause there are some conditions.
In order to receive messages your device should not ignore broadcast UPD packets (as long as I know some devices are doing it, for example HTC)
Your Wi-Fi network should not block UPD packets (as long as I know some network managers are doing it). But it's OK if you are creating Wi-Fi Spot yourself. Google it, it's pretty straightforward.
Also, be aware of some possible message loss.
Have fun with unlimited communication!
Application is also available in Google Play.

I believe you can't make that open source..?
Hi your application is exactly what I need. I want to built a rover controlled by an arduino that is connected via usb to the first android phone. With the second one I want to send the control data (speed, direction). I've already implemented the control of the arduino and i can stream the video to my controller application. Your application would be the perfect way for exchanging the control variables between my phones.
If you could post the source code it would really help me a lot!
I couldn´t find a mention of this app anywhere else on XDA so I decided to put this up here ( hopefully in the correct category ):fingers-crossed:
I found a great alternative to Bluestacks after getting fed up with the endless crap that bluestacks kept installing on my machine.
I take no credit for this product, just thought I´d share...........

You can use shareit. Its a software by lenovo which needs to be installed on the PC and as an apk on the phone. Gives you nice speeds while transferring and has a nice UI

you can use file commander the program can open port to your computer
if you have windows you could use the file manager "Total Commander" with the plugin "LAN plugin for Total Comander"
If you have any network shared storage (generally an SMB/CIFS share). I'd presume someone having such a share woudl have their computer be able to access it, I would also presume your phone is connected to the same network just wirelessly. Either use the built it file manager (if it supports it) or use something like Solid Explorer or ES File Explorer to copy files to/from this share. (You'd have to add the source under the LAN section of ES.
Just download the app called Portal. It uses wifi and that's all. And its fast.
